  1. I sometimes use my work address and family members addresses for rebates. The memory stick will be an impulse item on BF.
  2. I dont know. I am too busy running and grabbing. The few employees I have to deal with I would say Best Buy Personal Shoppers were the best last year.
  3. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/11/business/11money.html?_r=1&oref=slogin Here is the article in the NYT about rebates and does talk about this site.
  4. It is good news in my book as well. I think with sites like this one becoming more popular and main stream that stores will start to change there policies like BB did.
  5. Most of the stores wont price match online prices. There are alot of shoppers who price match who meet in the Wal Mart section of this site. You can ask them there. http://forums.gottadeal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37
  6. Welcome to the community! You might want to check the Wal Mart section of the community. I know there are alot of WM shoppers that do alot of price matching. They might can help you there. http://forums.gottadeal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37
  7. Bad News....I was just at a BB an hour ago and asked the manager about price matching on BF and they said that BB corp just revised there policy to put in a BF clause that will forbid people from price matching on BF. The manager showed me an email that was sent out from the VP of BB.

  9. RossMAN is right. I have hard the same from people who work at BB. Last year at the Fricso, Texas BB they were checking IDs.
  10. It really is hard to tell. Historicaly desktops, laptops, TVs are ticketed items. If you are wanting that item then I would get there early.
  11. You are welcome. I love BB as I am a tech guy. I have been doing BF at BB for about 4 years now. I found this site last year while watching CNN.
  12. It is hard to tell if the monitors will be ticketed items. I would say if you want good shot on getting one then you will need to get to your local BB by 10pm to 11pm on Thursday. I really do doubt that they will have what you want on Saturday. They say it is a two day sell but that is to get people to come in on Saturday before the Sunday ad hits the next day. What stock they have will be put out on Friday morning. Good Luck!
  13. Just an FYI......In the Best Buy ad this morning it states that the tickets for the PS3 will be given out at 7am. One ticket per a customer and that you have one hour to claim your system once the store opens.
  14. Here is a thread that talks about BF on the BB website. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=52668 In years past they have but you have to have a fast connection like DSL or Cable.
  15. I would say get there around between 9pm and 10pm on Thursday.
  16. Welcome to the community to the both of you! Here is a thread that explains the tickets for Best Buy and shows you what one looked like last year. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=49435
  17. Wont tell. I will be more then happy to read what others are buying so I know when I should be in line.
  18. If you do the Personal Shopper Program they will help you with your stuff in loading it into your motor car. They will have you pull around to the dock and load it for you.
  19. Did you talk to the manager and get his/her name? I hope it works out for you.
  20. When you deal with electronics, computers, and big TVs the golden rule is that they are going to fail. On computers Best Buy will take care of everything but theft and acts of G-d but they do cover lightning hitting your house. So if your hard drive crashes, something stops working like your mouse, keyboard or CD rom breaks, or processer quits BB will repair or replace your computer for free. They will do the same for a laptop. Even if you drop the laptop they will replace it. For TVs if anything goes wrong with the TV or remote they will fix it. LCD and Plazma TVs will only last for 4 to 5 years with normal use and you run the risk of pixels burning out. If that happens they will replace it. I had a friend who had a pixel burn out and they were at his house with in 24 hours with a brand new TV.
  21. Yes they would. If it is a non-ticketed item all you have to do is contact your personal shopper BEFORE Wednesday night. Many times your personal shopper will give you there company email address and all you have to do is email them what you want. For example last year I knew I was going to get a laptop and desktop so I emailed my personal shopper the items I would need with it that go fast like memory, Norton System Works and a few DVDs I wanted.
  22. Welcome to the community! Here is a thread that I posted over a month ago that shows a ticket from last year and explains how it works. Enjoy! http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=49435
  23. When the last game system came out I remember that people started to camp out days before the system went on sale.
  24. Price Matching gets very tricky. Some stores have policies about price matching on special sales like Black Friday. I would contact your local store and ask the MANAGER and not a sales person.
  25. I would get in line around 11pm or 12 Midnight.
