Why not? Part of my family's master BF plan is to do intel and recon before BF

I just talked to my friend who is a severe weather forecaster for the National Weather Service/NOAA and he said that most of the weather service forecasting offices will be issuing special Thanksgiving Day and Thanksgiving Day night forecasts starting Tuesday or Wednesday. He said the Thursday night forecasts will be nailed down starting Sunday night. You can view the National Weather Service website at www.weather.gov and click on the area you live in on the map and it will take you to the NWS Forecasting office for your area. I have always found the NWS forecasts to be more up to date then the Weather Channel's website. My friend also said that he will be on this board starting Monday to take questions or anything like that. I hope this helps.

I think everyone is going into panic mode and needs to slow down. I have seen alot of best buy 18 wheelers on the roads in So Cal this weekend. I think they might have put some of them back in the back. My friend who is a store manager for Compusa told me tonight that he was getting trucks in everyday right up to Thursday. If you are still worried get to your BF store very early.

Mervyns is broke and closing alot of stores so i doubt you will see any type of sale.

Celebrities do bargain shop. I see famous people in 99 Only Stores all the time in North Hollywood (which is a not so good part of the valley) and I have also seen them at the 99 Only Store in Porter Ranch area of the valley also. I once say Mark Cuban at BF at Best Buy before. Major and Minor Celebs are like regular/normal people if you treat them like so. I have been in the Motion Picture business since I was 16 have some of my close friends are Celebs. You have to treat them like you would treat anyone else and not focus on what they do for a living.

I have a feeling that more and more stores next year will do this or put out fake ads. Does the admins keep track of the server logs to see if anyone comes on the site from the top level domains from any of the major stores? It would be neat to find out if they do. Big Jim Slade

I feel that we are going to see alot of policy changes on price matching and stuff like that. I know Best Buy changed there policy early this year and if too many people try to price match and return that more stores will make new policys.

I think they do care to a point. Some of the other BF sites have already been sued or have had legal warnings served. To the major retailers this is war with each other to see who comes out on top. BB did it last year in BF sales and over all holiday sales. Big company's do care about trade secrets and that what BF ads are until Thanksgiving day.

I have been thinking. Will Black Friday be different next year then it is this year? Will the stores do stuff different? This reason I brought this up is that there has been so much press on Black Friday sites this year then there was last year dont you think that the major stores will do stuff different to keep BF ads more a secret? Or change the return/price match policy? I am also currious to find out from the webmaster of this site if some of the IP addresses that hit this hit come from some of the domains of some of the major stores. I was curious to see what people's thoughts were. Best of Luck to everyone!

Early this year Best Buy and several other major stores put a "Special Sale" clause in there policy for Black Friday. Also I would not be surprized if next year that Black Friday will change and the stores will do stuff different becuase of message boards/websites like this.
