we only have costco nearby. there are a few sam's clubs, but we have to drive pretty far to get to them. we use them to get a lot of water. always water. we don't drink tap water here (yet i'll use it to wash the dishes.), and other lots of random stuff. toilet paper, chicken breasts, tuna, paper towels...

does costco do coupons? i thought they only took their own coupons that they mail to members.

i am not a fan of that ikea desk - it only fits a CRT monitor properly. the back of the desk is angled back so the huge monitor can fit on there and so you can see it. it's also somewhat flimsy, but for 30 bucks from ikea, what do you expect?

my target had it for 2/11.00, and i only had a 50 cent coupon. but i really needed laundry deterget anyways, so i went ahead and got it.

usually if you buy 50.00 of merchandise you get free shipping.

i saw my local ralph's (also part of kroger) had the 6 packs for 99 cents.

woohoo! went today and the most expensive thing i got was the xmas cd for 59 cents! there was still a ton of paper, got some tags, they still have boxes (i wanted shirt boxes, and they only had HUGE boxes left), bows, random decorations, etc. west hollywood, CA

you just missed out on their 5/10 sale on all their soaps the day after xmas. no idea when the next one is, but stock up then also!

costco member? i think they sell them there also. buy a year, and they usually have a rebate on them also. costco.com doesn't have them on their site right now.

there's always ING direct - you just have to link it up with your existing checking/savings account.

woohoo back from the mall - if you buy at least five, each one afterwards is only 2 bucks each - so it's like 7-14, 8 for 16, etc.

january. all the stores have clearance sales then. express when i was there yesterday, they had all jeans for 30 dollars off.

to add: - newlyweds, all three seasons (oh man, my friends are awesome) - some cute workout clothes - gloves/hat/scarf set - keroppi and keroleen (from my sister, for my car animals) - a UCLA Bruins scarf (so awesome) - good hard cash - other cute stuff that's just not coming to mind.

- my ipod nano - a clock and a pair of slippers with a character that i love - an aromatherapy set - a GC for a massage or a facial from a company we work with. that's the best one so far.

you can also use SHIP if you have 100 dollars or more in your cart. sucky part is that you can't return their online stuff at the stores.

i just put 87 dollars worth of merchandise in there and i'm going "add one more thing and i get free shipping." the good pricing is getting to me! i can never find my size when i'm in the store - it's been picked over too many times.

southwest is always changing their fares, keep watching their site. i was looking for christmas, and a month out they wanted 188, and then 3 weeks out they dropped it about 30 bucks.

i lust after that stuff, but i'm still here. does that count? actually, if i had the money, i would have run out and bought an LV bag by now. i have a coach bag and wallet, and i am not a fan of chanel bags. (their perfume on the other hand...) but i've never looked at the various online retailers for them though. now, if LV had an outlet like burberry does, i'd be ALL OVER IT. even sample sales...

you will need to get the recorder (obviously) and then the blank dvd-r's to record on. + and - are just two different types of blank dvd's. dvd-r are more widely accepted in dvd players. for some reason, mine will only read the +R discs correctly. there's some technical site that explains it, but even when i read it, it doesn't make that much sense. the recorder should come with some blank dvd's for you to use, and then you will need to get your own. i personally like the fujifilm dvd-r's (and when you're buying them, try to get the ones that say made in japan on them)

i always buy clothes in january. all stores are having clearances then.

it's a size down in my experience from the gap. but it also depends on what pants you're buying at the gap - those classic cut jeans fit a lot differently from the low rise jeans.
