well, another great day at target cruising their clearance clothing racks. got a sweater for half off, and a pair of shorts to work out in for five bucks.

hmm not bad. i might hit CC instead, which is better since it's closer to my parents house. i want the compact flash.. check out the mp3 player... and the 2gb flash drive sounds intriguing since i want to transfer stuff around. and the cd's for cheap that i nearly bought for 10 bucks... good show.

i personally like the samsung at best buy for 229 but i'm a name brand kind of person and it's a samsung so i automatically like it.

if you can, see if you can find a reputable local jeweler, because even the mall stores can be a rip off. i have my little promise ring from zales but we bought it at the zales outlet. also tell them that there'a always bluenile.com, or if they have a local diamond district. i plan to check out LA's diamond district one day. :)

i have never gone to fry's early - last year i went at 11am, and they had a lot of the regular deals i was there for still. this was in northern california - i usually only shop at the sunnyvale store, and if there's anything good, i'll be there again.

i'm a little worse than that - i am paranoid over the postmark date, so i use the postage meter machine at work to stamp the envelope, and then i photocopy the envelope, to prove i addressed it correctly and it was postmarked the correct date.

a year?! there may be hope yet from the one i submitted last year!

hot topic isn't as bad as A&F. a&f is now just overpriced crap. before they used to have decent clothes, and now it's for all anorexic teenagers who don't mind if the entire world can see what's under their shirt! (which is all a plot to make you buy a second shirt to put under the first shirt!) at the outlet mall, they had an actual A&F outlet, so everything was semi normally priced (their jeans were down to 30 bucks) but they were ripped, or faded funny, and other styles i just don't appreciate or cannot wear - even in my casual office setting.

well i'm guessing you're glad you don't live in san francisco - they banned handguns, the purchase, sale, and posession of - in the city.

my brother dumpster dove for his, and he got about 150 bucks.

when i camped out overnight for harry potter, we had foldable chairs we got from target for 10 bucks. for a footrest, it was 15. they folded up very small and you could carry them in a carrying bag to take into the store with you so you don't lose your place in line.

you can return the item, but you won't get to keep the gift card. to give you the free gift card, they mark it off on the item in the first place (they did at CC anyways when we rang stuff up.)

keep checking local ads too - i know my parents was just skimming the local paper every week looking for the cd player for my car, and finally saw one at a price they could handle along with the free installation.

thinking back on my bonus last year, i think it was 75% of one paycheck. but last year i used it to pay CC's and for xmas. this year... i'll probably do the same, but maybe to partially fund our vegas trip.
