Need gift for single brother--Food?
freesia39 replied to fulkersonm's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
gift cards to grocery stores maybe? i'd love a gift card to whole foods every now and then, because they have a great prepared foods section. or trader joe's. -

Restocking fee A restocking fee of 15% will be charged on opened notebook computers, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, GPS/navigation and in-car video systems unless defective or prohibited by law. A restocking fee of 25% will be charged on Special Order Products, including appliances unless defective or prohibited by law. mostly the restocking fee is to keep people from "renting" a video camera, filming an event, and returning it. same with digital cameras.

oh DARNIT i knew i should have looked in that clearance section! talk about a missed opportunity! i managed to find a dress for a holiday party i'm going to marked down to 9.99, plus the extra 20% off. walked out the door paying 8.65! much cheaper than my original plan, which was to clean a dress i've had for a few years and wear that! i actually like this dress too, it's the typical little black dress.

don't overpay for HDMI cables!!!
freesia39 replied to kubla77's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
return it ASAP or at least within the 30 days. when i worked at CC as a customer service rep, someone tried to return a year old cable. the system only goes back 90 days for returns, so i kept trying to tell her NO YOU CANNOT RETURN THIS it's been a year! she kept arguing it was still sold in the store, but i told her the policy is 30 days. maybe if she came on day 35 i would have been able to do something, but a year was ridiculous. -
nope. most of the stores will call to verify, or they already know it's out of stock because someone else has probably already tried to PM.
-
if it is not in stock, they will probably not pricematch. that's the first reason they will give you anyways.
-
congrats to everyone. it's going to be fun!

LOL our dog is like that. (well my mom's dog.) my mom got him this cute bed at costco, and he's only slept in it a few times. over thanksgiving, he was sleeping in my bed, or he'll sleep out in the hallway in front of my parent's room waiting for them to open the door so he can jump in their bed. sometimes he just sleeps in my bed, period. silly dog. my brother's cat got more use out of his dog bed than he ever did! i think i'll get jo a new leash this year - he broke the old retractable one we had and my parents have been making do with a generic one. they liked the retractable ones better in controlling him.

ok without looking: 1. oh come all ye faithful 2. deck the halls 3. little drummer boy 4. 5. 6. 7. silent night 8. 9. silver bells 10. god rest ye merry gentlemen 11. rudolph the red nosed reindeer 12. 13. 14. 15. and then i get stuck.

i had an aunt that used to do that with cash. one year she put rocks in the box too!

i believe that a coffee maker falls under small electrics. they really don't have any other electronic/electrics items other than their kitchen appliances.
-
ps2 is older, so you won't see much of a deal for a brand new system. gamestop was running a sale on their pre-owned systems if you want to go that way (it is cheaper there even before the deal) but they do not come in a ps2 box.

you need to bring a coupon in with you. http://www.macys.com/dyn_img/site_ads/112807_ff_mcom.pdf?PartnerID=email

in january, most stores start their winter clearance. great time to pick up clothes ANYWHERE you go - i usually try to hit up the outlets over martin luther king jr. weekend.

i love despair.com: Blame The Secret of Success is knowing who to Blame for Your Failures. man i know a UCLA football coach that can use that...

Line? there was a line? where?

i've noticed that the weekly CVS ad hasn't been as great lately as it was in the past. i used to get great deals all the time, and now i'll get an occasionally deal on nuts or candy. of course, i've been waiting for the next 20 ECB for 20 dollars in purchases. i got some pretty decent deals at walgreens the other day, cruising their clearance hair items + coupons + savings book.
-
i'd be SO tempted to be mean and wrap empty gifts under the tree...
-
go ahead and try it - call up customer service since you bought it online. it may be easier to argue with them over the phone than in person.

Did anyone have problems with newspapers not having all the ads
freesia39 replied to lovebears65's topic in 2007
the ONE that i really wanted - michael's - was NOT in the paper we got. i really wanted those turkey bucks, and of course, a copy was not available at the store. -
try this list: http://www.outletbound.com/cgi-bin/stores_by_name.cgi?StoreName=Dooney%20&%20Bourke it may not be comprehensive though. look up your closest outlet center and see if they have a D&B store.
-
they charged you 109.98 for the computer, and 189.99 for the monitor. total is 299.97. add up the rest of your receipt to make sure its right, but it looks ok from just those two items.

it's a good deal for what it is - a cheap basic camera. you won't get any great pictures from it, but if you just want a barebones camera, that's what it is. same goes for any kodak camera out there. don't count on it lasting forever. however, if you have a little more to spend, and it's recommended, look at a canon a560. it may be more, but the picture quality is roughly... a million times better. it's been discussed in depth in this thread. i have an old canon s500, and it still ticks along great to this day. i think i've had it for over 2 years now, close to 3, yeesh. even though it only has a tiny 1" screen, it still takes great pictures.
