The 2 best rated insurance companies year after year are USAA and Amica Mutual. You must have some military connection to get into USAA. We have Amica now, and so far so good. http://www.jdpower.com/insurance/ratings/auto_insurance/index.asp http://www.jdpower.com/insurance/ratings/homeowners_insurance/index.asp

I wish you good luck getting them on the phone...be prepared to wait a LONG time on hold.

TDK 4.7GB 16X DVD-R 100 Packs $23.99 shipped! newegg.com
Ripn replied to jeninpa's topic in Online Hot Deals
Speed kills...even when burning video on dvd. Unless you are in some kind of hurry, there really is no need to burn video above 4X. You can burn a full DVD in under 15 minutes @ 4X...do you really need to save 6 minutes to burn @ 8X? You can use any speed blank and still choose 4X or whatever your burner has for a slow speed. A DVD player may or may not play +r or -r or even +-RW's. Check out your model here... http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers BTW, here's 3 comments on this TDK media with the Ritek R05 code...not so good. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia/tdk-dvd-r-ritek-r05-16/4352#comments -

Thanks for the input, I will stick with Verbatim :) I have recently noticed my older discs (when I used Memorex, Ritek & no names) are not playing so well anymore...they are just backups, so the originals are still around for me to re-backup. Yes, a few have some slight scratches, but look like they should play. -
Buy Maden 08 at TRU and get 50% off another video game
Ripn replied to dmmiller's topic in Online Hot Deals
Today for the Wii we got Madden 08, Transformers, TMNT ($50each) and BigBrain Academy, Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer, Rayman Raving Rabbids ($25each) Total $225+tax Sadly, I didn't try to use the 20% off coupon...thought it wouldn't work because it says NOT valid with any other "R"Us offer on same item. our TRU had a large supply of Madden 08 for all systems. -

If you order these, could you please test one to see who made them and what quality they are? http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm -

Ripn replied to amazingone's topic in Online Hot Deals
I don't know if this will work for everyone, but I am an MVC (Most Valued Customers) cardholder with Kohls...and this code is worth 15% off total order through Aug 5 when using the Kohls charge card. MVCTAKE15 -

No help in what you want to do, but why do you have to pay anything to fix broken stuff in a place you do not own?

Have anyone ever heard about "PhoneHog"
Ripn replied to lovetodeal's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Yes, I have used it for about a year and a half. I have accumulated over 500 minutes and have used about 200 of those so far. I don't use it now since I have SunRocket. You get free minutes of long distance for giving an email address. Most of the offers are spam...You rarely get an offer of more than 10 minutes for "just an email address". Most of the offers for longer times ask for real mail address, phone# etc. There are some offers for over 200 minutes if you sign up for satellite, dsl or some other monthly/yearly services. The call quality is the same as any prepaid phone card I have used. I get maybe 30 to 50 emails from them offering more minute opportunities each month. I just delete most of them. -
Yes, the cable I bought from Meritline.com does look just like the picture on Amazon.
-
Amazing!!! I ordered 4-18, received the cable via USPS today... 4-21 btw, I payed with Paypal
-
Thank you DaveL, Yes $9 seems worth it. Just as a sidenote, my mcafee site advisor warned me about Meritline...basically a few warnings about giving them your email address...they give it out. Use a bulk email for them, or just leave the email address out of your order.

Yes, a QAM tuner lets you receive an unscrambled digital signal...so if you have analog cable service only, a QAM tuner may allow you to receive some unscrambled digital stations free (like the local HD channels - ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS)...but stations like ESPN HD are usually still scrambled. That all depends on the cable company though.

Yes, thanks. I did not find the coupon for the GUM oral care on boodle ...I am assuming the zip code determines which coupons are available. FWIW, my McAfee site advisor went to yellow on the boodle site. The wyeth site gave me a $2 off Tylenol PM coupon :) For some reason the $1 coupon didn't print, so I had to continue and up popped a $2 off coupon. It even has my full name and a security code on the bottom of the coupon.

The going rate on Ebay for two 2lb bags of belly flops is $14.99 + $3.99 to $4.99 to ship. So, for $19 or $20 you can have what I can get for $8 (or $6...if I buy a case of 12) :)
-
Interesting...I live near a Jelly Belly factory warehouse...and have been in their store a quite a few times...and they had tons of Belly Flops for sale every time.
-
$69...That's a good price. Without knowing travel dates...I tried sidestep and got some fares under $200 roundtrip with 1 stop on NWA ($164), US Airways & Continental($187). Sidestep searches over 150 different airlines...it's a good place to start a search anyway.

You can use sidestep http://www.sidestep.com/

Target had some games on clearance when I was there this past Monday...Ant Bully is the only one I can remember...it was $20.90. Out of about 15 games they had, 5 or 6 were marked down from $49.99 to between $20.90 and $34.99.

Verbatim DVD-R 4.7GB 16X Branded 100pk Spindle - $19.99 Shipped AR @ Buy.com
Ripn replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
you can burn twice as fast...8X2=16 Actually, 16X is the most popular speed of dvd media currently...although there are 18X burners out there now. BUT, you have to have at least a 16X burner to burn @ 16X. There really is no need to burn so fast, because when you consider what you are archiving to dvd, do you really need to save the 3 minutes difference of 8X vs. 16X...if it's even that much. In the case of burning dvds, SPEED KILLS!
