  1. Well, this was actually the second time CC has matched a price for a TV for me. I got a price match from a floor manager @ CC for a Panasonic TV/DVD/VCR combo unit that was @ Sams Club...it even had a slightly different model# as many Sams items always seem to have. Both times they took my word on everything, although this time, the CC employee did try to find the TV on the Walmart website. The TV was $526 @ Walmart...CC had it for $664...when he went to the CC site that shows their own markup...I think saw 29% on the screen...and he did some math on a calculator and then I saw 462 on the calculator. He then went over to ask the manager if he could do it...he did :) It really does pay to ask...so as for the OP...try, you may get it :)
  2. I guess I was lucky today then...CC matched Walmart even though Walmart was out of stock on the TV :) I saved $135! The CC guy seemed bothered by the whole transaction, as he even had to give me 6 months no interest because Walmart has that promotion for sale of an item $297 and over :)
  3. I do oil changes myself as well...luckily my village takes used oil :) But I see specials for around $20 all the time, just make sure they include everything (including the filter) and not just 5 quarts of oil...some cars do take more.
  4. We have the DysonDC07 We bought it @ Kohls when it was on sale and had a 30% off coupon in the circular they mail out. I think with tax it cost us just under $260. Yes, it really is a good vacuum, but it is too large to fit under most furniture. The attachments really are easy after you know how to use them, even if the extension hose does pull the vacuum along behind you. My neice owns a cheaper bagless vacuum(she paid just over $100) and likes it just fine, and she has 3 cats. If you have any type of dust allergy, I wouldn't recommend a bagless vacuum though, as the dirt tends to fly around a little when emptying the container. I just love seeing all the stuff that it sucks up. It makes vacuuming kinda fun. <----notice I said kinda
  5. YES, I do want HD! Our 15 year old Sony 32" is now B&W only
  6. More info... When you arrive at the park, you will exchange the voucher for a single day ticket. Then once inside the park, you go to the season pass area where you purchace the season pass. Since the park has been open for a few months now, they allow this. The "bring a friend for free day" voucher is only for select days of the season, so be sure to take advantage of this savings. Also in IL, Jewel food stores sell single day tickets for $25 (that's $20 off a regular 1 day ticket)...so for a total of $75 you could get a season pass by doing the upgrade.
  7. A friend of mine with a Six Flags season pass took another friend to Six Flags in Gurnee IL using the "bring a friend free day" voucher. That friend was able to go to the season ticket booth and "upgrade" to a season pass for only $50. That is a $45 savings for the Gurnee IL park season pass! I was surprised to hear this, as I would think the park would want to see the single day ticket to allow the upgrade. But, it worked. :)
  8. Look on ebay...it's against their policy (maybe even illegal as most cig coupons have no selling right on them)...but people sell them with buy-it-now so you can get them before someone reports the seller. NOT that I am telling anyone to do anything illegal...I just said to look on ebay
  9. The 40% off is on again :) http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/weekly/coupons/2006week26.gif Good on 1 regular priced item only, limit 1 coupon/day/customer. Valid June 26-July 1
  10. Has anyone had success with these? We bought some a few years ago, and after about 2 months or less even, they lose the seal and are no longer compact. Maybe we just bought a low quality bag?
  11. I tried to sign up last night, but the last page with all my account info was blank. I assumed it would be sent via the confirmation email...but I never received one SO, this morning I called them @ (800) 786-0132...they are there from 7am to Midnight ET, and explained my situation. This promo is STILL good! They said it would be good all day. I can't find it on the website, so you will have to call to ask them why the signup didn't work yesterday for you too I would suggest you go into the signup page before calling them and see what new number is available for you, because that is 1 thing they asked me for.

  23. We have one, I like it :) It is a bit too large to fit under some furniture, but there are attachments for that. I paid only $279 @ Kohl's when it was on sale along with a 30% off coupon. I believe it retails for $399.
  24. Yes, Sony MIJ are good...thanks for the tip! I had almost bought a 2 pack of Sony DVD+r's @ Sam's Club...50 made in Taiwan, 25 Made in Japan...those sneaky bastages @ Sam's. Glad I put them back.
  25. Great post! I wonder if everyone who wears contacts and takes them out every night, allows the case to dry out while you are wearing the contacts? If the case does not dry completely between uses, it is a great environment for growing all sorts of yucky stuff <---very scientific term
