  1. My in-laws got me and my husband started on it. My MIL does Walmart every year. Last year, we tag teamed, so I got the toys, memory card, and flash drive, while she got the sewing machine for SIL, and the dishes, towels(when else can you find huge bath towels for $3), and canister vac for me. Yeah, I do regular shopping on Black Friday, I'm usually already done holiday shopping by that day.
  2. Honestly, I don't think you're going to find it for less then 39.99(for the PS2, GC, and Xbox versions) for quite awhile(untill it hits the platinum hits stage). So, I'd buy the first one I saw. And it is a very fun game. Challenging, but fun. I am personally at 85% complete right now.
  3. Well, I did layaway last year, at Walmart(yeah..I know, but I had limited space to hide the toys) and the cashiers back there did all the pricematching. Worst moment for me was when I got home from work on Thanksgiving night, 11:30, and starting to see the snow fall. I ended up leaving for town at 12:30, to make sure I could make it. If I'd waited, I wouldn't have made it. Sure..I didn't sleep, but all that adrenaline kept me awake.
  4. Anyone know if that Dorm couch is at 75% yet?
  5. Nope, mine didn't last year. I was able to wait inside(did all my pricematching, and non-door buster items from 1-4, then waited in line at the other items I needed)
  6. The link no longer works, but if you go to each system's games, sort them by price. They have a plethora of games for under $2.
  7. The Army doesn't give Christmas bonuses. My Christmas bonus didn't arrive until a week or so before Christmas last year. I used it ALL on myself.
  8. Same here, Marshall field's just became a Macy's. Haven't gone to the mall since they opened though.
  9. Dang it!! That's what I get for DH having the debit card(mine is coming next week) Oh well..I'll just hit Gamestop like originally planned then.
  10. I doubt stock is going to be low, they're shipping 4 million units for launch. Now, I still have to decide where to pre-order it. If Amazon is free shipping, and no tax(some things from Amazon are taxed for me, we have a customer service/shipping depot an hour north of me), then I probably will just order it there.
  11. When I pre-ordered the latest Harry Potter book, they billed me when it was sent, even though I'd pre-ordered it months in advance.
  12. The new Mario game won't be ready for release. They bundled the sports games so that they could show off the abilities of Wiimote to the fullest. I can't wait to do bowling with the Wiimote! I also am going to buy the bass fishing game they're going to have out. That sounds it'll be a blast with the WiiMote.
  13. I did put stuff on layaway today, mostly because I actually had the time to do it, and there were a few things I wanted to get, but I didn't bring enough cash with me(I was only going to buy SW Lego's). Not a word was mentioned about the new policy, although I heard a few employee's talking about AFLAC, and how my store was going to start offering it.
  14. Hmm..wonder if my store had it priced wrong..here's the bundle I found on the website. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5078905
  15. I saw something at Walmart today that was interesting. There was a LCD tv bundled with a laptop for $998. Maybe a hint at something for Black Friday?
  16. Hopefully, Zelda-Twilight Princess will be out on release day. Not sure about any Mario games though. I want Zelda, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
  17. Well, I was heading to TRU today anyway(gotta buy Lego Star Wars and get the $5 gift card), might as well see if I can pre-order it. $250 to me is much more reasonable for a next-gen console than the $400-600 for the other systems.
  18. No, I used cash. I've looked all over the house, and vehicles too. No receipt.
  19. I plan on watching Walmart for a HDTV and a laptop. My MIL is buying the toys for the kids, so I don't need to be there for that stuff. Hopefully though, the TV and laptop will be in the same area.
  20. Did you buy the camo one on wheels? That's the one my son got, and his zipper is broken already. Of course, that's the one recent Target receipt I can't find. So he's just using an older one for now.
  21. Ours took over an old Kmart building(that had been home to a BCBS center previously) I believe it will be opening soon. And thanks for the link, I guess that's one store I can cross off my list.
  22. I typed out a list of all the items I wanted last year. Plus brought ads with so I could price match(hey..I had to kill 5 hours in Walmart, had to do something)Money was in my front jacket pocket. This year, I'm using gift cards, and I will have those in my front jeans pocket.
  23. We're getting our first BCF, and I'm just wondering if they do Black Friday doorbusters or not.
  24. You're in GA, I didn't think it was possible to freeze your off. This year, I'm bringing my son's GBA and a few games, plus my MP3 player.
  25. That was me last year. I had a notebook with all the items I wanted to pricematch at WM, and a list of all the things I wanted to get from the ad. Going to do it again this year too.
