Happy July! It’s hotter than the devil’s armpits here again today. Started out the week with a severe storm that knocked out power for 100,000 people in my city, including me. Ending the week with excessive heat warnings and not everyone has their power back yet. later this month I am taking a trip and I’m so excited. First time traveling in about 4 years…..life and Covid you know. hope everyone has a great weekend and happy 4th!

How is it June already?!? I’m not ready for the hot weather and it’s coming this weekend…..

Well I’m 2 days late for “May the 4th Be With You” and a day late for “Revenge of the 5th”……….. so happy May everyone. It turned hot real fast today so I guess the lovely below normal temps are a thing of the past now.

Well, March is gone and left my state devastated by deadly tornadoes. Major damage in the capital city and my little hometown was devastated and I have a family member that lost house and everything with deaths in both places. I’m still trying to process everything I witnessed while there yesterday. If you have been directly impacted b a deadly tornado or any natural disaster then you probably know and if you haven’t I pray you never are. Anyway, happy April everyone. How ironic that the weather has been beautiful the last 2 days since the tornado.

Happy March everyone! Spring has sprung early down here, as always. Daffodils are in full bloom amd the weather has been nothing but rain and thunderstorms and high winds every other day, for weeks now.

Happy February everyone! Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day and the month of the annual Southern Icepocalypse. Another one in the books and another one I survived going to work in. I will tell you one thing……. I do not enjoy making a 20 mile commute in that garbage. Before I moved to a different state I had a 4 mile commute on one city street to the hospital and now I have that 20 mile commute from the burbs.

Yep! I also enjoy reading what everyone bought too!

That is so cool! Being a southerner I had no idea the Luge existed outside of the Winter Olympics! Lol! Good luck to your daughter!!!

Happy New Year! Spending my long holiday weekend on my sickbed with sinus issues. Just wonderful……. On the plus side (or not) it’s 75 degrees today where last week it was 15……

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all have a safe and fun night! I’ll be spending it on the couch in my pj’s. This extreme weather rollercoaster has be too much for my sinuses.

Oh no! I’m so glad every one is safe and sound though! You are absolutely right that Christmas can be celebrated anytime! Hopefully you get to do that this weekend if that mountain of snow is finally meting!

I got a very nice assortment of gift cards, some Grogu fuzzy slippers, a Clinique gift set, an Apple Pencil, and a handful of scratch-offs. hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

I don’t know how you Northerners and Midwesterners do it! These single digit temperatures and minus zero windchills are for the birds. This southern gal is not equipped for this. in all seriousness I hope everyone stays safe and warm while Elliott carves it path eastward.

So, as I said, I waited until my birthday (today) to open my Secret Santa gifts. I’m so happy. I got a new John Grisham book and a beautiful stainless tumbler for the winter season. I love the tumbler and can’t wait to start the book. Thank you so much Secret Santa!!

Kohls has lots of little miscellaneous gift-y items that are on the funny and/or cute side. All the gift sets at Walmart are good ideas too I think. Me, I would like fuzzy socks plus a candle, an ornament, A good flashlight is always welcome. For her dirty Santa office party my sister did a holiday cookbook, a bottle of vanilla and a smaller bottle of balsamic vinegar. Holiday themed spatulas and oven mitts/towels.

I’m done. I’m over people! Went to Kohls one day last week and there was a woman on a tirade back in the customer service the likes of which I’ve never seen from adult before. So yeah, I’m done. It is what it is. I could use one more thing for my mother but I’m not going in search of anything. I have everything either bagged up or boxed up to wrap though so that will be my weekend project!

Just watching a news report about soaring sickness and Covid numbers on the rise again. Ugh

What wrapping?? I tell you I’m so out of sorts this season. What I have mat get wrapped on the 24th.

I got my SS box today and will wait to open it on my birthday in a few days!
