  1. I need some ads to look at already! Hope we something more than Macy’s and a sort of Best Buy one this week!
  2. I’ll either be in Memphis working or near Memphis so I might try to get to one of the Macy’s there for the Sunglass Hut deal.
  3. They might be a couple dollars cheaper on BF but maybe not? Kohl’s returns are so easy (if you have a store close to you) that if they do go lower and you can still get Mickey by BF you can always return the $9.99 one. They really do have some cute Disney prints this year so I would get it now while you still can. The Disney ones are super popular at my store every year.
  4. While I’m sad (for my own selfish reasons) that curbside pickup has ended I completely understand why the decision was made. I love my Kohls store and all the employees there are so nice. I hope things start to turn around for you guys soon! And I cannot buy another throw……I just cannot! That’s my motto anyway…..
  5. Ummm………. :) perhaps the same thing happened at my house yet what do I do the other day when watching QVC??? Ordered a Berkshire Blanket throw with gnomes on it……it’s a few inches bigger than our Kohl’s throws.
  6. I like the idea of finger foods/appetizers myself with everyone bringing what they want. Roast beef is also a good idea and great for sandwiches later. If you want a more traditional meal then I still would have everyone bring their favorite sides while you cook the turkey. I haven’t had a traditional Christmas meal since my grandmother and then my aunt passed away and we sold the big “family gathering” house and I’ve been ok with it. As for the tree, I wouldn’t buy a bigger one this year and just see how it goes with everyone there and how you feel about it. If your Mom states that Christmas will be at your house from now on then you can get a bigger one if you weren’t satisfied with the 4’ one. Just my thoughts.
  7. CEO of Walmart US is giving an interview right now on the Today Show so maybe soon….
  8. The hoodies are awesome Brad! Thanks for offering them! I’m wearing mine inside th house right now because it’s cold outside. Because I’m in the South I refuse to turn the heat on since it’s going to be 80 degrees again on Friday.
  9. I’m in healthcare so there is no holiday unless you work at a physician’s office. Last year my place of employment opened up the clinic until noon so I got to leave about 2 pm. Otherwise for most of my career I either worked or had to take a PTO day for BF.
  10. Loot! That’s what my sister and I always called our gifts too, even in to young adulthood. :)
  11. I only buy gifts for 3 adults so I set my budget anywhere from $75 to $100 per person. Sometimes I go overboard with one or all. LOL I don’t count coworkers since we always ended up doing something different each year but usually had a $10 limit. I tend to spend more on myself this time of year because I don’t set a budget for myself so I really need to do that this year.
  12. Congrats to the winners! Lots of great gift ideas posted!
  13. Awwww, you should be proud! My grandmother quilted and crocheted all her life so we have many hand-quilted quilts and many crocheted blankets. I fondly remember her trying to teach me one day and she eventually gave up on me! :)
  14. For anyone. Birdie personal safety alarm. You can never be too safe when out and about anymore. This is easy to activate and deactivate. Choice of colors too. Great for kids as well when walking to/from school or just out riding their bikes. https://www.amazon.com/Shes-Birdie-Original-Personal-Women-130dB/dp/B08TT47Y99/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=2N6WWNM3DC1WF&keywords=birdie%2Bpersonal%2Bsafety%2Balarm&qid=1665879183&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjc1IiwicXNhIjoiMi4xMCIsInFzcCI6IjEuOTEifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=Bird%2Caps%2C476&sr=8-1-spons&th=1

  17. I learned how to use my Instant Pot with his videos
  18. What a neat way to lounge on the beach, at the lake, at the campground or even the back yard…. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CRJ57DY/ref=cm_gf_acco_iaac_d_p0_e0_qd0_DSKjDuBtVTPYVe2MVqO4?th=1
  19. I’ve made sugar baby body scrub, homemade hot chocolate mix and even homemade mug cake mix as gifts before. The hardest part was finding jars I liked to put the body scrub in and larger jars that I liked for the hot chocolate. I might be doing something similar this year since I will be starting a new job in a few weeks and won’t know how they do holidays there if at all.
  20. For anyone who likes to save momentos from trips/activities, special occasions. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SC2GKPV/ref=cm_gf_accp_iaaa_d_p0_e0_qd2_Cu2fH4kSmYBasOdh8RW9
