Yay! A new prize club and a new ad!
-
I heard Mariah belting out her Christmas son today while I was in Belk and heard It’s A Marshmallow World while in Target……barely 12 hours into November! I say bring it!
-
Happy November! The time of year when Mother Nature can’t decide if it’s supposed to cool or just down-right hot down here in the South! PS…..dear stores, we are still waiting (impatiently)on ads.
-
I won’t. I start my new job Nov 7 so if no ad then no shopping will be done. I know there still time but…..
-
I don’t either and it will make me not even shop, which is what I did on all the Prime Days this year. If I have something specific I’m on the hunt for then I might but just to shop for that perfect gift, nope.
-
Happy Halloween everyone! Carrying on the family tradition of pizza and brownies for dinner tonight. Brownies are in the oven and I’m trying to decide where to order pizza from and do an advanced order so maybe I’ll have it by bedtime tonight. LOL. in the meantime I’m getting super antsy about shopping without any ads to look at! I mean one can o lay look at a the Macy’s and Belk ads so many times.

Same!! This is driving me nuts waiting.
-
Yay! Let the shopping begin!

Oh my goodness that is exciting!!!

What's something you buy or rebuy every Black Friday?

I just donated some of mine too, for the same reason. -
Me too or either I’m being extremely impatient. Seems like we should have more out by now though.

The ones I remember most from my grandmother’s house are the perfectly round bowls with the starburst lids. All of hers were filled with different Christmas cookies, Chex mix or fudge. If I could just by those separately I sure would.
-
I wish I had somewhere to put that Tupperware stuff! I sure would get it if I did. I like Lock & Lock too but there’s just something about Tupperware. Maybe for me it’s nostalgia since my grandmother had every piece known to man.

we have a small Belk store here where I am and I love it. I’ll be moving away soon and I’m going to miss it.

I love those beauty sets too! I’m overloaded with Bath & Body Works stuff right now so I’m banned from those this year -
I need some ads to look at already! Hope we something more than Macy’s and a sort of Best Buy one this week!
-
I’ll either be in Memphis working or near Memphis so I might try to get to one of the Macy’s there for the Sunglass Hut deal.

Yeah, just one. Just one. :) -
Now that’s a great idea for them!

They might be a couple dollars cheaper on BF but maybe not? Kohl’s returns are so easy (if you have a store close to you) that if they do go lower and you can still get Mickey by BF you can always return the $9.99 one. They really do have some cute Disney prints this year so I would get it now while you still can. The Disney ones are super popular at my store every year.
-
While I’m sad (for my own selfish reasons) that curbside pickup has ended I completely understand why the decision was made. I love my Kohls store and all the employees there are so nice. I hope things start to turn around for you guys soon! And I cannot buy another throw……I just cannot! That’s my motto anyway…..

Ummm………. :) perhaps the same thing happened at my house yet what do I do the other day when watching QVC??? Ordered a Berkshire Blanket throw with gnomes on it……it’s a few inches bigger than our Kohl’s throws. -
I like the idea of finger foods/appetizers myself with everyone bringing what they want. Roast beef is also a good idea and great for sandwiches later. If you want a more traditional meal then I still would have everyone bring their favorite sides while you cook the turkey. I haven’t had a traditional Christmas meal since my grandmother and then my aunt passed away and we sold the big “family gathering” house and I’ve been ok with it. As for the tree, I wouldn’t buy a bigger one this year and just see how it goes with everyone there and how you feel about it. If your Mom states that Christmas will be at your house from now on then you can get a bigger one if you weren’t satisfied with the 4’ one. Just my thoughts.
