I don't think we've put our tree up before Thanksgiving...ever. We'd certainly have to wait until the Halloween decorations get taken down, but maybe could after that; there aren't really any Thanksgiving decorations.

I assume you mean a Chromebook? Those are essentially a heavy tablet with an attached keyboard. If you're going for a chromebook, get an Android table with a bluetooth keyboard. They won't give you what you're used to in a Windows laptop.

#1 "I'm trying to point out where open register is, but everyone just thinks I'm doing the disco." #2 Black Friday; the time to stock up on all you office nerf war needs. #3 "Ha! Second in line, again, behind me. I plan on buying ALL the plaid tops, so looks like you're out of luck again this year!"

Take a look at www.blackfridaycharts.com . You can look at previous years, select 'Apple Products' and sort by Model to look at the deals on iPods.

We get Xmas Jammies as a family too.... even got matching ones for the dogs 5 years ago. They do make for some fun pictures.

I think if it's just portability and small research during class, you could get away with a decent 13" lightweight laptop for 1/3 the price of the Surface Pro. Then you'll have some budget for extra accessories, as needed.

I seem to recall something similar last year where there was a pre-BF sale and customers went in to shop and the employees/managers had no clue what was up. It's not like BF and the Toy Book are new here, people....

Free Shipping on Everything All Season Long @ Bestbuy.com
bribri25 replied to magickallight's topic in 2016
This year may be the closest I'll ever get to elite status at BB, and I'm still not all that close. Glad they have free shipping again. Wait for sale item to go live, Add to Cart, Check Out; repeat, as necessary. -
$999.99 w/ $50 gift card.....maybe. ;-)

I think a Surface Pro is overkill and I would personally like the regular laptop just the same. If this was the only computer, then maybe could justify the $1000, but I think the regular laptop will suffice for the first year.

I had a laptop throughout college and would bring it to almost every class every day. I had a backpack and didn't notice it was big (compared to a tablet). They really aren't that large and if it's going to be used constantly as the main source of a computer, I suggest an actual laptop. For the price point of a Surface Pro (or Surface for that matter), you can get a pretty incredible laptop (especially on BF). The touch screen (benefit of a tablet) doesn't really gain you much, and you'll certainly want the keyboard almost constantly.

You have B&BW, Yankee Candle and Hallmark not in a mall??

I'm curious how much the Pixel compares to the Galaxy; and how much the hardware was done elsewhere, but just stamps Google's name on it. I know they do a few things differently on the OS and call it "pure Android", but in reality how different is it? I've been a Galaxy s3(when is was still in roman numerals S III)/s4/s5/s6 user for 4+ years and really have come to love them. It would probably take something special for me to change at this point; a "Google" stamp rather than "Samsung" isn't going to cut it. Maybe we'll see what the s8 vs. Pixel2 (both theoretical models in their respective series') brings. Not in the market for a smartphone this BF, but always curious on the ever-expanding technology.

I'm in the same boat!! We got all new LED outdoor lights 2 years ago, and a whole family of airblown Christmas minions for the front yard last year...and despite the tundra conditions, they thrived and were up standing every day; and not a one of them was flying up in the air like they were parasailing in the 30 mph winds.

Yep. We bought 2 of those. Great price. Working out well!

I would imagine you'll see something, but it's hard to say for sure. I think the s6 was about in the same situation last BF. Plus, there's undoubtedly going to be some deal on the iPhone 7, it'd be almost impossible not to have anything for the Galaxy. IMO, the VR isn't all that great, anyway. In theory it's cool but you'll get a few weeks use out of it before the novelty wears off.

Yep, hitting up the clearance at the end of the month would be a great plan! Get yourself $63 or $125 or clearance items to really help get the most of your money.

I'm sure this is the expectation now with VS, but thought I'd share. DW has birthday in November. On the back of her mailer mentions the Free Tote Bag. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161021/313f844b1c48a917701040ef86e149ca.jpg

The are essentially equal. The 20% is pretty standard with what you'll get on BF. The triple Yes2You gets you $15 per $100; KC gets you another $20 --> $35 back per $100 spent; BF will get you $5 in Yes2You and $30 in KC = $35. Now, the difference comes in prices/sales. Kohls has some great discounts on top of this rewards during BF, so it's likely you'll get it cheaper that week. However, if you see something on a really good sale during this 10/27-10/30 time period, then it may be advantageous to get it then and avoid the rush; as it may not get much cheaper during BF. Getting the Yes2You in October means you'll have it to spend in Nov., but the KC will need spent in the next week after it's earned (way before BF).

Maybe not ON Black Friday, but certainly among their deals leading up to it. I think it was the week of last year that varying kindle devices were on sale. Usually they make advertisement of it in advance so you'll know slightly ahead of time. Usually when they see how much BB & Staples, etc. are selling them for on BF from the leaked ads, they will match that price pre-BF so you buy it from them instead of in store at the other retailers.

Thank you, Brad!!!! I know we've all been waiting for this one... this one, and maybe BestBuy & Target & Kohl's, too...

I don't get big ticket items, but often things like the towels of certain colors and fleece blankets of certain designs and pillows and such can go out of stock fairly quickly. They aren't big ticket items, but very popular.

How could anyone object to that??

And he then in turn went to the freezer, scraped off some of the ice and threw it on the front porch to justify to mom that it was close enough to wear the snow boots...

I don't think BF habits should have even swayed your decision. You should get back there and get that rug, regardless! It is Paw Patrol, after all...
