I haven't experienced HF but once on BF and it was semi-busy but I think they had a bigger ad back then. There's really not much in here that blows you away in terms of price. Honestly, the welder price is $87.99 right now (only $3 more than the BF advertised price), so if you want to save yourself some hassle and worry that it'll be gone I'd go ahead and buy it now. No question is ever a stupid question. Those codes will only be good online. Often, closer to the BF week, there will be in-store coupons usually of the same discount that you'll be able to use. Plus, you'll likely get a mailer from them the week before that has additional discount cards, etc. that you can use in store. See below for additional info... Yes, they did. The big advantage to Kohl's online. You can start shopping their BF sales on Sunday night and use all the coupon codes and often get your stuff by Wednesday....before Black Thursday, even! The only think you won't get are the limited quantity doorbusters (e.g. XBOX game systems, TVs, etc.) and the typical $10 off $10 purchase card (explicitly states "in-store only") you'll get in the mail with the other coupons the week before. Otherwise, Kohl's.com is your friend on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday of BF week. You get all the same mail-in rebates, Kohl's Cash, etc. without having to wait in line to check out.....oh, those dreadful Kohl's checkout lines.

...Which may also be in store tonight. Temperatures forecasted to drop below freezing, but I doubt we'll end up with any precipitation as it's moving out this afternoon.

And you, in turn, told the cashier "No, I like my friends" as to not subject them to WM on BF? Since WM has started staggering their door busters, there's quite often time where WM will be extremely dead. It's busy during the DB and then the fallout of the 90 minutes after to get everyone checked out, but then it dies down til the next one because everyone goes to shop elsewhere.

We might get a secret hidden 20 or 30 to pop up that week. I don't think one came last year, but I'm fairly certain we did the year before (about an hour after the online sale went live). We ARE still ~40 days away from the Kohl's.com sale going live...

Paw Patrol continues to get bigger and bigger. My kids loved everything paw patrol before it even got cool (as in they watched the first ever episode when it premiered) and they have pretty much outgrown it already. Yet, when the Air Patroller comes out they "have to have it".

I can't imagine any of them would actually do it on election day. And I feel that any time before would be to early. Only time will tell.

Just placed 2 orders at Kohls for new bath towels for the DW and I. Using 2x $5 off $5 or more (one on each order) and in-store pickup, I got each $10.99 towel for $0.83 incl. tax. ...And used Chase Freedom CC, which gets 5% cash back this quarter at department stores, so that's another $0.04 back ;-)

I've seen NFL.com and such have Cyber Monday sales (though, not all that great), but if you need a certain player in a certain size, you might not want to wait.

The problem is that while we are all Black Friday lovers and want it back to the old way, the newbies coming in who don't really know BF, are benefitting from this and will continue to shop on Thanksgiving.

I don't really do much explicit saving, but Discover Card cashback bonus can be redeemed for gift cards to places like Kohls that I'll inevitably spend $100 at every year, so I order some ahead of time. It usually takes ~ 2 weeks for shipping so I can't really afford to wait until all the major ads get leaked to pick which gift cards I want to order.

No serious shopping, but always looking for deals throughout the year. BestBuy Deals of the Day. Random Amazon Lightning Deals. Probably only 10% done.

I started in 2005. I had just moved to a new house and needed a new TV. Waited in line at Circuit City for 4 hours in subzero temperatures with occasional snow. I was easily after 30th in line; still got my TV and use it on a semi-regular basis still today. Since then, it's been about the fun of prepping, finding things I'd likely buy anyway at a highly discounted price, planning out when/where to go, and getting all those deals. Half of the shopping is for myself, but it's still getting great deals. It's also fun to meet some new people while you're out and about. Lately, it's turned into more online and less in stores. I think their extended return policy goes til the middle of January so you can PM anything that gets cheaper before then!

Great.... I have the SB6121; Got it for $72 4 years ago. Maybe time to upgrade to the 6141, or not that big of a deal?
