I would love to help but I'm afraid I just don't have the time. I am in school and so is my husband and I have three kids. If you ever need help that would not take much time or then I'd be glad to help.

My boys are 12 and don't believe in santa anymore but my dd3 still does. when I have my kids make a list I always tell them to list the three toys that want the most first. Then we go from there. We have always told our kids that we have to pay Santa and they will only get what we can afford to give him. This helps them choose what they want the most. As for something my kids play with the most. My older boys got instruments for Christmas year before last. One got a guitar and one got real drums. They play them everyday. My daughter got a table for her bday one year and she uses it daily. My boys also use their playstation 2 everyday. My daughter uses her portable DVD player at night to go to sleep.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2010
starbeck96 replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I noticed that they were beginning to mix clearance in with regular priced items also. I did get a Toy Story 3 book bag for my daughter today for $2.98 though. All of the brown spot items were also gone and they were putting out new items, including halloween stuff on the dollar spot. -

Congrats to the winners!!! -
I just bought the number one item on my boys' Christmas list. They said the main thing they want is fishing stuff. We went out and bought them new reels, hooks, artificial lizards and worms, lures, and anything in between. They are going to be so excited. Oh yeah and we got a big tackle box. I can't wait!!! My husband said it is going to be so hard not to give it to them early bc they love fishing so much. They go at least twice a week or more. They are going to love it. I have also bought a few things for my dd that were on clearance.

Has anyone seen the Loving Family Dollhouse on sale Black Friday?
starbeck96 replied to starbeck96's topic in 2010
The last time I checked on this set at TRU they were sold out online. I am probably going to get the 71.00 set at Walmart and then see if they put the accessories bogo at TRU. I've already got a few of the accesories on clearance at Walmart. Thank you. -
I would love to see a DS go down in price or at least offer a great gift card deal. It would be nice to see a 100.00 DS and a 50.00 gift card...lol. Hey a girl can dream can't she...lol. If that did happen I would definitely get my dd one. Use the gift card for a cheaper game and then use the rest of it for another gift for her.

Has anyone seen the Loving Family Dollhouse on sale Black Friday?

i will probably buy it mid to end October. I am keeping a check on it though everyday on every website..lol. -
I am buying now, but only things that I know either won't go on sale BF or from places that I know I can't buy from. I bought my daughter 2 accessories for the Loving Family dollhouse on clearance at Walmart. They were 11.00 each regular 17.00. I know that they might be cheaper bw now and then, but I have kept my receipt. I also bought her the My Little pony ferris wheel for 17.00 (at one time they were around 25) so I could not resist. I probably would have waited, but they only had 3. Besides her bday is next month so I decided to give that to her for her bday bc she has been beggin for it. I am going to put up a few toys that I have gotten her for her bday and put it in her Christmas stash though to keep my budget balanced.. :) I have also been looking for camoflauge clothing for my boys (can't seem to find their size) and I am also going to buy them fishing stuff and put it up for christmas. I do not live anywhere near a store that puts a big deal on these BF. I do have an Academy nearby but it is in the opposite direction of the way I will be traveling BF.

I don't know if our walmart will pm or not. The closest Target or Kmart is 50 miles away. The closest TRU is an hour and half away. -

Thanks! I will definitely have to watch for BOGO at TRU. I really do not think that these will sell out before Thanksgiving anyway. This is going to be her main gift, but if I can save enough on this, then she will be able to get something else big also. -
Official Restaurant.com Coupon/Discount Thread
starbeck96 replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Do these coupons usually work ok? I have never bought from resturant.com but I am considering trying it first. Do I need to call the restaurant ahead of time and ask? I just got an email that says they are 70% off. So I think I may try it now so I don't spend alot of money if it doesn't work. -

Ok thanks! I may try to hold out for a little while. Do you remember about when it went on sale? She is already a member of the TRU bday club. I got some extra furniture on clearance at Walmart. I do remember some of the furniture being on sale last year though. Maybe I will get lucky! Thank you. -

I live in Alabama. Thanks though. I guess I will go ahead and buy it so that it is not sold out before Christmas. Thanks everyone. -
My daughter will be 4 in October and she wants one of these doll houses for Christmas. They have a special at Walmart right now on them. It is 71.49 for the dollhouse and the van and it includes the dining room, patio, mom, dad, and twin babies. Do you think I should go ahead and order it now or do you think I will find a better deal on it Black Friday?

Are Black Friday Sales REALLY that great or is it just the thrill?
starbeck96 replied to bfaddict1977's topic in 2010
If I were you since you are pregnant and have four kids to take w/you, I would see if I could get most of mine online and then head out just a little bit later to avoid the rush. That way you get the best of both worlds.. I know alot of times you can still get a lot of great deals and avoid the huge rush. At our local Walmart I would say about 10% of everyone shopping brings their little ones. We do live in a small community though and you pretty much know everyone or at least one of their family members. It is very safe at our local Walmart (that is all we have in our town). However, I have three kids, my older ones are 12 and then a 3 year old (will be 4 next month). I do not take my kids now, but I have taken at least one in the past. My husband was sick one year and I did not want to leave him with both kids (this was before my youngest was born). I kept him in a buggy and I waited until the mad dash was over. We were there around 5:30 to avoid it. I actually went after the Nintendo Gamecube...wow that seems like so long ago..lol. I do not like to see the little ones running around though because I do worry about their safety. My best friend has taken at least one of her kids 4 or 5 years bc her husband worked weekends. The only reason I would take mine is if I didn't have anyone to keep them and I needed some good deals. I know that BF is the only reason my kids get a decent Christmas every year. If it were not for the BF sales my kids might get two things each. So I'm sure that the parents take their kids out bc of "have to" rather than "want to". Good Luck! -

For me it is both the great deals and the thrill. It is the one and only day a year that my best friend and I go w/out kids and just enjoy each other's company. We each have 3 kids so this is fun for us. We make a big deal out of it. When we eat lunch it is always somewhere like Applebee's or Longhorn or Red Lobster. Last year since our Wal-Mart opened at midnight we got there around 12:30. We put everything in our buggy that was not doorbuster and then got in line at the toys for the doorbusters. Neither one of us were looking for any big ticket items last year. All we have is Wal-Mart in our town, so we always go there first. We are usually out by 6 and on then head to a town about an hour and half away from us to go to Target, KMart, TRU, Old Navy, and anywhere else we decide to go that day. We usually have Thanksgiving dinner at my house and then last year my friend came over when we were done and we planned out how we were going to do things. My husband (who happens to be the best) kept her older boys and all 3 of my kids so we could have a great day. :) We got home around 4 that afternoon. We have been going to BF together for about 9 years. We just have an awesome time. -
I will probably be spending around the same BF. I actually have more money put up for christmas htis year, but I really believe more of it will be spent on pre-BF sales and clearance items.

What do you take out with you on Black Friday?
starbeck96 replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2010
The fraud alert happened to me the other day and all I had done is tried to buy a 5.00 somethin on ebay..lol. So I am definitely going to go up there and tell them that I am planning on spending money that day so that a fraud alert won't happen..lol. I also carry some cash and a checkbook. -
We have a Fred's,Piggly Wiggly, Family Dollar, and Dollar General with in 3 miles of each other. Other than that we have a grocery store that is about 13 miles away and I know they will pm that. I am going to ask if they will PM stores from about 50 miles up the road or not. Because I know that it is left up to the manager at each store.
