My list drastically changed from what I thought I was getting to what I actually purchased. My parents and I combined funds so we could stretch the money I don't have the list with me but here is what I remember. DS25 VCR/DVD combo, Redskin pj/tshirt, T-shirts for work, Wii resort, DVD, basketball DIL Portable DVD player and DVD's, 2 seasons of Smallville, BBW, boots, mixer DS24 8gb Ipod touch, itunes gift card 2 books ( no spouse to buy for so I spent a little bit more. DS21 wallet We got him and his wife a Sony HandyCam and case for the new baby DIL Towels DGS bouncy seat, clothes, Scout, a few small toys DD20 Corellware, Sewing box, sheets, 2 puffy vest, flatware, programable crock pot SIL jigsaw, work vest (craftsman) drill bits, work light, popcorn popper, hand truck DS19 (well almost) Drill, work gloves, ski gloves, portable dvd player for him and his wife, jeans, long johns, then put the rest of the money toward xbox 360 for his bday on the 27th DIL camera, dvds for the player DD6 camera, case, digital photo frame, memory card, 2 zhu zhuz and accesories, uno attack, barbie on a bike, towering crayons and markers, puzzles, clothes, desk chair, pink desk lamp, pink blanket for her bed, leapster game up, 3 three musketeer barbies, a tool bench (tru on BF) a digital alarm clock, and books (I would like to get some Patch the Pirate CD's and maybe the Barbie sing along CD player ) My Dad 2 shirts and a briefcase My Mom jean skirt and top ( have no clue what else to get her) Dad and Mom I am thinking about a portable DVD player for them Brother and Wife Electric blanket Nephew (he was born early this morning) Scout

I do stockings for all my kids and their spouses, (yes I changed my mine about the gift cards) My DD6 gets a huge stocking and the rest will be regular size. I am limiting the amount I spend per stocking. One of my DS's was really disappointed that I was even thinking about changing the way things have been, that I didn't have the heart to change it. Some traditions are worth keeping.

Have you considered an outside game like horseshoes, or croquet? There are others too that would work I just can't think of what they are called. You could also get her a goal to practice hockey or soccer.

The one from your sister looks good but it also looks like it has to fit into a corner and the one you might buy does not. I would consider the space that you plan to put it.

I really wanted to get on for my DD who got married in May, but it was out of budget. I am starting next years Christmas fund this payday so I can have a bigger budget next year.

So far I have stayed on budget so I am happy. However I keep thinking of things I liked to get my kids and I am done money wise. I hope I can continue to keep the budget.

Mom and I got to TRU about 10:30 pm, we were not close enough for the zhu zhu pets but when the store opened I could get in (the line was wrapped around and and almost back to me again) In and out by 12:30 well my Ds and DIL stood in the electronics line till 1:00. Kohls was next we put our chairs in line and let someone else hold our place and use the chairs and we went to the car. I got soaked getting back to the car and the ones holding our place had umbrellas. Kohls was great except they did not have any Barbie jets when the door opened. Got everything else there but that. My Dad and brother did Walmart, DD and SIL did Best Buy and another DS and DIL did Target. Mom and I went to Target to pay for everything there and they let us do it in $100 increments so we could get the $10 gift cards. Next we went to Sears. After Sears we had breakfast. Mom was exhausted so she went home and I did Lowes and K-Mart. It was a great day! I just wish I had thought about getting my parents one of those portable dvd players.
