  1. 6pm.com has some great deals on Uggs. You just have to check back often. I've purchased several pairs from them and never paid over $70 brand new.
  2. This is exactly how I feel! I hate having to be rushed out of a store or waiting around for someone else to be done. I want to get what I need and get out and on to the next store. I don't like excess baggage! I would love if my husband would go...but there is nothing in the world that would motivate him to stand in line on BF! I kind of feel trapped because she doesn't want to go alone, and I don't want to go with anyone!
  3. I was asked to go BF shopping with a friend. I usually go alone because I can go to the stores I want and stay/leave when I want to. But I also get bored when I stand in line by myself. What do you guys prefer to do?
  4. Thank you!! Hoping more ads to follow very, very soon!
  5. Sorry about going off topic! Everyone stay safe regardless of where you're shopping this year!!!
  6. Oh they definitely have the most unruly bunch; however, how many years do they have to have uncontrolled chaos before they take a proactive approach and try to get a better system in place?? At my Walmarts, shoppers are always ripping through the merchandise before it's time and the managers don't stop them. If they know they're going to get away with it, they'll continue to do it.
  7. Oh my! I think it was a Walmart somewhere in NY where the crowds ran over a Walmart employee?? I remember reading about it, so sad. Walmart has the worst crowd control. Good luck and stay safe!
  8. My boys love skateboards and scooters, but so far haven't shown much of an interest in these. Fingers crossed that they won't! I would probably pull the trigger now if I was going to buy one. If the availability is limited to only a couple of venues and the demand keeps increasing, so will the price!
  9. I'm most looking forward to Walmart this year! There's a couple items on my kid's Christmas list this year that WM had on sale last year. Fingers crossed!!
  10. I remember Walmart's epic fail! I was too late. By the time I read about it, people's orders were already being canceled. I found a air soft rifle at Walmart (not on BF) that had a clearance sticker of $19.98, regular price was $80-$90. When I checked out, it was scanning regular price. The manager would not honor the ticket price. I also found something at Target - had a sign in front of it with a sale price, but it was ringing up regular price. The manager would not honor the sale price either, but thanked me for letting her know so she could take the sign down! I guess I'm not very lucky!
  11. Walmart has a terrible toy selection...at least the Walmarts around me. Congrats on grandbaby #10!
  12. Exactly!! I didn't start going until 2005 - had no idea until then!
  13. I would wait and see what deals are to be found. I remember the year the X Box One was released. They sold out at my Walmart, but I went to Target afterwards and still had a lot left. It's not going to be an impossible item to find. Keep checking online for price drops. I bought my husband a PS4 for Christmas a couple years ago for a really great price on eBay...it was new in box, Destiny bundle. I also got 5X eBay bucks back.
  14. I buy my Christmas presents for myself from my husband. He hates to shop, never knows what to buy me, refuses to use coupons or price match, doesn't compare prices or wait for sales. My husband would never, ever go shopping with me on BF! I love to save money, and I don't mind and it makes life easier to him, so it's a win win situation.
  15. Back in 2005, Walmart printed out a secret sales sheet and had a really cheap laptop. I went and stood in line early, there was about 10 people ahead of me. The manager came and told us to move to electronics as the laptops would be given out there. So we all moved - all of stayed in place, no cutting. We're standing there for about 2 - 3 more hours when we were told that we were in the wrong line to go back to where we were. By that time, there was a line a mile long. People were screaming! Left without a laptop...another bad Walmart memory.
  16. I've had so many bad memories shopping at Walmart. They never have organized lines, people start tearing into boxes way before the designated time - management does nothing to stop them, they never know what the policy is or where items are located. A couple years ago, I was unintentionally involved in a pillow fight. People were tearing through the boxes and people were trying to take pillows off of other people and then people started smacking other people with pillows. I got smacked right in the face...lens popped out of my glasses. Those Walmart shoppers are rough!!
  17. I love the Walmart Savings Catcher...I have almost $80 saved! I price match...buy items online using ebates. I also am sticking to the lists this year...I always over buy! It's not a good deal unless it's actually wanted & used!
  18. I like going to the stores, but I think this year I'm going to be buying a lot online...through ebates. I'll still go to the store, but I hope to get everything I need before I venture out.
  19. I found some Lego sets when they went on clearance at Target, I believe they were half off. And I bought some PS Vita games that Target had clearanced for a few $$$.
  20. Has anyone played Lego Dimensions yet?? Thinking of getting in for my 8 year old, but he doesn't play Skylanders or Infinity anymore. He does enjoy playing his lego games, though. Reviews are kind of all over the place on Amazon...some love it and some say it's a complete waste of money. Opinions??
  21. My son doesn't like to use his iPad with the case on, so he always takes it off. Thanks for everyone's help. I'm just to wait to see what kind of deals there are for iPads this year. The price of the Kindle Fire is very tempting, though!
  22. That's what I thought, thanks for confirming! I guess I'll see if there are any iPad deals...I really only wanted to spend around $100 since he's only 8 and is really hard on his tablet. But I guess I have to weigh in the value of apps as well.
  23. Question...and I think I already know the answer, but here it goes. We're an all Apple family, so we use itunes. If I get my son a Kindle Fire or Samsung Galaxy tablet, would he be able to download itunes and the apps he's already purchased on the new tablet? My thinking is no - different OS, right?? He has pages of apps we've already purchaed...hate to start over with a different kind of tablet.
