I always have problems with Target pricing. Hardly any of the sales prices ring up correctly. Once I purchased a pair of shoes for my son - clearance sign for $4.99 right under the shoes. They rang up $24.99; cashier called a magr to check and said the sign was wrong and didn't honor the price. I love Target, but I always have to scan prices - don't trust any of the sale signs.

I'll go along with the majority and say Ipad! I pondered this same question for months. Kept going back and forth, but in the end I spent the extra money and have not been disappointed. I just bought my DH a refurb one on ebay for $389 64 GB. When it arrived, it looked brand new...not a scratch and works as good as mine. Good luck!

What is it about Walmart that brings out the worst in people??? I arrived at 8 PM and stood in line for the PS3. I was right next to the aisle that had all the dvds in shrink wrap. People started ripping the shrink wrap around 8:30 and grabbing whatever they wanted. Employees were standing there trying to stop them, but people were shoving and screaming. I went to Target afterwards and everyone was fairly respectful of people...of course, Target had police officers in and out of there stores! Maybe Walmart should invest in some security for next year???

I got a PS3 at Walmart...just dropped it off at home. I'm now headed to Target!

I LOVE my Ipad! I paid $500 for mine; so it's a decent deal. I haven't noticed what other retailers were selling it for since I'm not in the market for one.

I think all the ads have been disappointing this year. I'm still holding out that something big will be revealed from someone. Walmart's ad was disastrous! Target had a few items, but nothing to get overly excited about.

That was a heck of an ad...even food on it. I've never seen food on a BF ad before. Sadly, nothing that interested me.

Might want to check ebay and compare pricing. Just a thought...

Not great, but definitely not disastrous as Walmart's BF ad! Is that a PS3 for $199? That's a good deal. I was hoping for more of a deal on the portable car dvd player. I need a new one for my car. I swear they had them last year for $49 or $59. My favorite item so far...the Big Theory season 4 for $12.99!!!! Love that show :) Target will be, like always, my first stop. But after reading the other ads, it may be my only stop!

That was Walmart's ad??? What a disappointment! The 360 bundle is a good deal even for a 4GB, but not worth going there and fighting the crowd for one item. I hope Target is better!

It's not just you, OP. I've carefully studied each ad that has been released and there is nothing in those ads that would motivate me to leave my house. I am hoping that Target puts out a great ad! It's always my first stop. I love the cheap DVDs. I may stop in Walmart depending on what they have. But I'm just not into it this year...more looking forward to the Breaking Dawn movie! :)

Hmmm....I've looked at it both at Walmart and Target, in the stores, and their's were priced at $59.97. Target has it on sale for $56.97. Maybe that's a good price after all!!!!!!

I'm holding off. I think there will be a better deal or one just as good.

Anyone think that the Thomas the Train remote control Creaky Cranky will go down lower for BF? I've only saw a $3 price drop so far.

I guess it's how you do the clearance shopping. I have 3 departments that I like to hit as soon as I walk in. Electronics, kids clothing and toys. Of course, they're all in different parts of the store. I dart between these departments. I don't go up and down every aisle in order. My husband says that would make him nervous if he was looking for shoplifters. That's just the way I shop. I guess if you're looking for clearance stuff first and darting from dept to endcap that may set off a red flag. Other things security looks for: big purses, wearing coats in warm weather, people wearing baseball caps and sunglasses (those camoflauge people's faces and they can't see their eyes). Sorry for being OT.

I had the woman at the fitting room once ask if she could check my purse when I went to try something on. I looked at her and said no. She looked at me weird, but let me in. Then I heard security being paged to the fitting room! On a side note, my husband is a VP of Loss Prevention, and he always told me that my style of shopping sends red flags to security. I dart all around the store...he said if he didn't know me, he would have followed me as well! I take no offense, I've never stolen anything and am probably the most honest person you would ever meet. :)
