  1. I wonder why there's only 3 pages. Shouldn't there be 4? Anyway, I found a few things worth stopping in for.
  2. Awww...the blue light specials. Haven't thought of those in years. lol What items do you think will be in the members only preview?
  3. Am I the only one who found things they like in this ad?
  4. Did I miss the time for the sale or has it not been announced?
  5. Usually there's something worth getting on Thanksgiving morning, but I don't see much this time.
  6. Well, that was a bit disappointing...
  7. Walmart's Slump Means Big Savings for Holiday Shoppers By REBECCA JARVIS EMILY KNAPP What is bad news for Walmart investors may be good news for Walmart shoppers this Christmas. The giant retailer's disappointing sales outlook may actually contribute to deeper holiday discounts. Walmart announced on Wednesday that its sales outlook for 2017 is lower than expected, causing shares to tumble in a brutal selloff. That caused a domino effect across Wall Street, taking many other major retailers with it. In the company’s worst day of trading in 27 years, Walmart’s value fell by $21 billion in a matter of hours. Walmart and other brick-and-mortar retailers have been struggling to increase sales in the face of heightened competition, both from each other and from online retail giant Amazon, which has a reputation for undercutting its competitors’ pricing. So, in an effort to remain competitive and lure in customers, retailers such as Walmart will likely be slashing prices, quite possibly earlier in the season than before. “I think we’re going to see pretty aggressive discounts -- 30 to 40 percent off is going to be standard fare,” said Joe Feldman, senior managing director of Telsey Advisory Group. “As we get closer to the holiday and certainly after Christmas, there will be 40 to 50 percent off.” Walmart is already offering everything from layaway to price-matching, and friends and family discounts. Walmart's struggles on Wall Street come one week after news emerged that the retailer was cutting 450 jobs at its headquarters in Arkansas. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/walmarts-massive-selloff-means-holiday-shopping/story?id=34486513
  8. We went to our walmart today and I was amazed at how much stuff they had left from the BF sale -- TVs, vacuums, shop vacs, Hot Wheels, kids pajamas. Everything but hot wheels and pajamas were priced back up. I didn't even go down each of the main aisles. There may have been more. We didn't get the blue wii because my kids wanted one that would play Gamecube games (which we have a ton of). I got one of the Mario Kart bundles from Gamestop.
  9. BF is not the same as it was 5 years ago or 10 years ago. I didn't go out this year, but I know that last year it was more crazy than usual. I think it's the 10PM/midnight opening of the sales. The crowd has changed. It's not the usual bargain-shoppers who help each other. It's a free-for-all, a "don't get between me and my $1.50 towel or else" crowd. And, I'm from a really small town. Several years ago, I did take my two oldest boys with me one time to Walmart of BF. They were 9 and 7. It wasn't nearly as crazy as it is now. I wasn't scared for them and they were never in any danger. But I would never take my 8 & 10 YO with me now. What's sad is that I went to my Walmart today, and A LOT of the BF sale stuff is still there. I did 99.9% of my shopping online this year out of necessity, and I really think that is the way I'm going to go from now on.
  10. At 4PM CT (7PM EST), the game that has this clue: "You have six days to rescue an entire country plunged into chaos by a brutal revolution." is this game: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61BSZoEPiYL._AA300_.jpg SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals Regular Amazon price is $28.99. It's for PS3 only.
  11. If you'll look at the ad, you'll notice that it's only available online (as are all the things in that box). See if this link works: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Xbox-360-Gears-of-War-3-Gamer-Bundle/17510909?&findingMethod=ecircular
  12. Some of the items are not available to put in your cart yet. You can try to put the ones that are available in your cart. The prices may change when the sale goes live. eta: Read noehlp's post below. I apparently have problems reading lately. LOL
  13. Last year, I waited in TV line while my son waited in Xbox line. Then, we met up and went and paid for them up front at the register.
  14. My 14YO son waited in line last year for an Xbox, but we live in a small town. An older woman took him under her wing and watched out for him. It just might depend on how big your town is and how crazy it gets on BF.
  15. Here's another interesting question. Last year, for the large items (TVs), you had to get a ticket at 4 AM (or whatever time the sale started -- I can't remember), go pay for it immediately, then go pick up your TV in the tire/lube section bay outside. How would that work for layaway?
