I don't have a problem with stores being opened on Thanksgiving. But the stores were empty on BF, because everyone shopped on Thursday, so not sure what the point was? I think people should be able to enjoy the day with their families if no deals are going to be had the next day!

In the past, I've always shopped clearance and put things away for Christmas. But I end up buying so much on BF and the sales leading up to Christmas that I go completely overboard! So this year, I'm being good. I told my son to write down his top three items...he acutally only has two!

Are the Fires more like a tablet now and not like a Nook?? I always thought Kindle's were like Nooks.

Layaway starts this month, at least for my store. There were signs as soon I walked in, but I've never used layaway so I didn't pay much attention to the date. I just remember seeing October.

Amazon has a Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet for $92 (8 gb/ 7 in). It's for my 8 year old son (who is really hard on tablets...won't get him another iPad). This seems like a good deal...anyone think that there will be better ones closer to BF?

The Justice thing would have really ticked me off!! I've been fortunate so far. I received the Lego Tower from Walmart (I actually bought two at separate times) and both have arrived. I was sure they were going to be cancelled! A bought a couple Nerf guns yesterday from Target, and I received an email notification that they have already shipped. Fingers crossed!

I bought a PS4 on eBay. That was my biggest purchase this year!

Is this recent? I think I bought the controller a few weeks ago. Customer Service told me that they didn't price match their online prices! Walmart never seems to know what their policies are!

I don't know the answer, but I think it's ridiculous that Walmart won't price match their own website. I was in the store buying a controller and their website had it $10 less than the store. They wouldn't price match, so I bought it while in the store on my phone had it shipped site to store and waited for an hour until it was ready to pick up. Walmart is very difficult with online price matching! Can you do the savings catcher for the difference??

I'm not opposed to shopping on Thanksgiving, but if people are going to shop mainly on Thursday why not just go back to Black Friday and let the employees spend it with their families? I went out briefly on Friday and the stores were empty. Not sure what the point is of opening on Thanksgiving when stores could offer the same deal one day later.

Thanks! I saw that deal, but I was hoping for the $29.99 and didn't get it! Just wanted to know if I missed Gamestop this year. Oh well, I'll keep checking back.

I think you missed the entire point of my post. I neither asked nor did I think it was the associate's responsibility to babysit my cart! I was frustrated with the fact that they crammed the movies into such a small area that shopper's were unable to take their carts. And we weren't told that we couldn't take our carts with us until we were next to go into the Lawn & Garden area. If I was told when I first got in line that I wouldn't be allowed to take my cart with me, I wouldn't have stood for an hour. I would have left Walmart right then and went to my next store.

I have a Dyson Animal and a Shark. I keep one upstairs and the other downstairs. They've both been great!

I got the Lego Tower! The price is now $60, but still better than eBay!!! Just crossing my fingers that I don't receive a cancellation email!

Not happy about my Walmart experience. I arrived at 4 for the Lego Tower. I had them in my cart earlier that day, but I thought I was going to be at the store anyway, so I decided to get them in the store. I saw a line forming around the Lego, so I stood there for 2 hours. I got one - was going to buy two, but I didn't want to be greedy! I got a few other items on my list and then went to the DVD/Video Game section - my last stop! I stood for almost another hour just to be told that I couldn't take my cart into the Lawn & Garden area where they had the movies and games crammed in. I hesitated, but left the cart right by the store employee thinking that it would be okay. When I came back out, the tower was gone! I told the employee that someone took the tower out of my cart, but she could care less. I went to the other side of the store hoping against hope that there would be some left, but of course, they were all gone! I drove to 3 other Walmarts, as well as refreshing the link on my phone, hoping to score another one. They were all sold out and never did come back in stock online. I wasted 2 hours of my day standing there just to leave without one when I did get one! The other Walmart's that I went to had their movies in the Deli section that you were able to take your cart, so I don't know why they decided to cram them into a really small section. They Lego Tower was really the only item I wanted at Walmart! Frustrated this morning!

Some good deals if you're looking for a tv or laptop, but really nothing too exciting for me, except maybe the legos.
