  1. Yay! I'm so excited about BF and this contest is a great one to start the season off with!!!!!
  2. I was actually just about to make a thread on if anyone thought Walmart would do their layaway again and then I get on here and it was just made yesterday! Hahahaha!!! I REALLY hope Walmart starts their layaway a little sooner than they have in the past. I need more time to be able to pay it off. I guess its no different than me just saving my money but I would atleast like to go ahead and put some stuff on layaway and get started.

    Now what?

I got my DS a Go pro at Walmart. I paid $199 but got a $25 GC so I was happy with that!
  4. First off this is my favorite thread every year to read!!! I did a little different this year...I was at walmart at 6 then belk and home by 9:30. I usually try to sleep til at least 2am but this year I got up at 1am and left around 1:45am. I'm not even sure I ever fell asleep when I actually did lay down. LOL! I did pretty good this year. I got alot and even had a mishap at walmart that I've gotta go back an fiix. Walmart 2 pellet guns but 1 didn't show up on my receipt when I looked over it after I had left so I need to take it back and pay for it. I watched the woman scan it but I have no idea why I ddidnt get charged. 1 Ninja mixer 3 xbox live cards 1 xbox game 2 promo movies that were only $3.96 2 pack of black leggings 1 pink headphones 1 helmet go pro accessory 1 800 count thread sheets Dicks sporting goods Meat grinder $49 Ulta Hair serum Bare Minerals eye shadow Hair wand Target Elf 10 pk nail polish 2 shower wrap around towels Chi hair serums black leggings 2 pair of wrangler jeans 2 bras Dove mens care gift pack Belk 2 Michael Kors purses 2 pair of boots 3 boy shirts 2 boys pants 1 easel for nephew Limited-1 shirt Marley and Lilly-2 Monogrammed pullovers Express-1 shirt Hollister-2 shirts Old Navy-jeggings
  5. Walmart was chaotic when I got there at 6pm. BUT when I got to target and the mall around 2am it was dead. Even the mall didn't get crazy busy until around 11:00am when I was leaving.
  6. I have wondered this same thing. Ive never bought anything just to resell it and honestly am on the fence about how I feel about it...
  7. If I'm not mistaken Walmart is going to have their 3 months cards half off. I plan on stocking up on these for DS, nephew and brother.

    green pickle

If I'm not mistaken, the pickle tradition originates from Germany. I want to say I read that on the box when I bought the ornament. It had a cute description on where it came from and the story behind it. I love doing it with my boys! When I bought it, I just knew that even when they become adults, this may very well be something they will continue to want to do.

    Mattresses?

So, I am needing to replace my and DH's mattresses and was thinking I might could get a good deal either BF or that weekend. Does anyone know if places will have a good deal on them between Friday and Saturday?

    green pickle

I don't think I added this in my other posts, but we call it the Christmas Pickle. LOL!! Its so funny b/c my kids will have me put on the tree a couple of times before Christmas so they can "practice" at seeing who can find it first. Hahahaha! Its all in good fun and even though I always have a ton of tree needles on my floor (since we put up a real one) its still well worth all the clean up. They just know not to get to carried away and mess up all the decorations. LOL! Hope you are able to get one. It really is a lot of fun!!
  11. We are organized as well. My boys usually make piles for all of us (4) and then we all take turns opening gifts. We usually let the boys get a few presents opened before we take our turn. ALSO, we do the green pickle hidden in the tree each year to see who goes first opening their gift. This is PERFECT b/c it keeps the boys from arguing over who gets to go first. I found it at a local store one year but they wanted $15 for it and end up finding the same one at dollar tree for $1 a few days letter. BEST idea ever by whomever came up with it. LOL! All of Santa's gifts are wrapped as well. Everyone's gifts are wrapped in the same wrapping but their are printed out name tags on each one so we know whose is whose. When I was growing up our Santa presents weren't wrapped and that was nice, but as an adult, I love the idea of Santa's gifts being wrapped as well. Kids love opening presents and this just gives them more to open.

    Kirklands

Does anyone know what kind of sale Kirklands has on BF? I would love to go in and get a few things for my house but was hoping they were having a really good sale.

    Ulta

I also want the Naked Palette but I want the basics which is a smaller one of the entire palette. I think it just has 6 colors in it. I am really hoping to get it on BF so my DH can "give" it to me for Christmas. LOL!

    Online shopping

So, I had posted pretty much this same question on a different topic but I can't remember what topic it was and I can't find it in my history on my acct, so here it is.....When times do the sales start online? Also, are there any pointers that I need to know. Example: If Walmart starts their sales at 6pm, then do they start online at the same time. Will the price reflect once I add it to my cart? I DO know that if I want something to just buy it and then go back and get other items b/c anything I put in my cart get taken out due to selling out quicky. Thanks in advance!
  15. I don't head out for the mall and target until 2am and by the time I get there its pretty much dead. I still get plenty of great deals. I do go to walmart on Thanksgiving night around 6pm but try to be home by 9pm so I can get to sleep. By 8am I can tell that the mall starts getting alittle busier and by the time I leave (which is close to lunch on Friday) its pretty busy. I consider myself as a second wave shopper. Those that start on Thursday night and go ALLLLL night long are first wave shoppers. Those that start Friday after 8am are third wave shoppers. LOL!!
  16. We got our boys a trampoline a few years ago and paid close to $200 for it. My suggestion would be for you to do what we did. I looked online and found that Walmart had the best prices for what we wanted. Then I noticed that over to the side it said it was shipping from another company. I looked that company up online and found the exact trampoline on their website for a lot less cheaper than buying from Walmart. We ordered it from them and saved a lot of money. If you can get it from WM on BF then I would definitely suggest that but from what I've been told, you need to get there early b/c its always an item that a lot of people of wanting and waiting to get. I had a friend wait in line for about 2 hours last year to get her kids theirs.

    Zoomer?

My 7 DS has been asking for the past 2 years for a Zoomer Dog or the Dino that has come out this year. I just wanted to see if anyone bought this Dog last year and if it was worth the $80 that's its priced at. I am really reluctant to buy it b/c 1. I'm afraid he'll play with it all of 45 minutes, 2. ITS FREAKING $80!!! 3. We are getting him a dirtbike and that's going to be a big part of his Christmas. My friend said I needed to get it regardless of anything b/c this has been the #1 item he's asked for for the past 2 years. Just wanted to get y'all thoughts or opinions on this toy. Do y'all think it will be on sale on BF? IDK how big of a toy item it is.
  18. They had the Go Pro Hero3 white edition for $199 and you got a $25 walmart GC.
  19. I remember when I first started BF shopping 12 years ago, they actually would put coupons in the paper on Thanksgiving for shoppers. I haven't really seen many coupons in recent years though. I try to atleast always have a Ulta coupon.
  20. I had about decided that I wasn't going to start buying anything for Christmas until Black Friday or atleast that week since that is when I get the best of deals, IMO, but ALL of that has changed. I went ahead and picked up the Go Pro for the DS yesterday at Walmart since their deal was that you got a $25 GC. I have been looking since this summer for him a Go Pro and could never catch them less than $199 so I jumped on getting the GC. I also went ahead and bought 2 items on Dicks Sports website for my husband while ago. I got $30 off since they are doing $10 off for every $50 plus I got $15 credit for the shipping which brought that way down. I still wish it had been free shipping all together though. Of course this doesn't even put a small dent in all the gifts I've got to buy but atleast its a start.
  21. You best believe I do! There's to many good deals not to buy for myself!! Lol!
  22. My DS wanted legos last year and I was asking the same question. I ended up getting his from walmarts website. It was cheaper there than in their stores and at least $15 cheaper than anywhere else I had looked as well.
  23. I am glad you posted this b/c I was going to actually ask everyone the same question. I was one of those that used their credit card at Target last year and had to get new cards and also signed up for the 1 year free credit monitoring. Even so, I am still on the fence as to what I am going to do this year. I don't really know if I want to carry cash or just use my credit card knowing that they will protect my account if there's another issue this year.

    Go Pro

This year my 11 yr old DS wants a Go Pro Hero. The cheapest one that I have been able to find is $199. Since he's only 11, I do not plan on buying the nicest one that they make. Besides at $199, it best be pretty nice. LOL! Anyway, does anyone know if this is something that might be at a better deal on BF? If not, then I may go ahead and put one on layaway at Walmart.
