  1. I'm hoping to get one of the Xbox one consoles at target with the $60 gift card. Do yall think this is gonna be a hot item bc of the gift card?
  2. Thanks for the webcast. I'll be tuning in at the next one as well!
  3. I need some xbox live cards as well. I usually get mine at Walmart on BF. They usually put them half off for 3 months. If I can find one that's $35/year then I'd rather get that. If I buy one online though, I want the actual gift card. Not a code emailed to me. I know that's crazy, but I usually put them in stockings and don't want to put a print off of the code in the stocking.
  4. Yep, I just ck'd the dates for when Target and Walmart released theirs and I'm anxiously waiting for them to come out in the next few days (hopefully)...if they start on track as to when they did last year.
  5. I would like a long sleeve in either navy blue or gray. As far as the slogan, I am not quite sure. Maybe something like "Black Friday....Not for the weak!"
  6. I've not been disappointed yet. I hope the Walmart and target have some good ads.
  7. I made my Christmas Planner yesterday and I am still old fashioned in wanting everything on paper. I have a binder for all the ads, receipts from stuff bought online, etc. I consider myself pretty organized but this is new for me. LOL! I usually just make a list of things I need to buy and keep it folded up in my purse and all the receipts in a bag. I think this will work great this year.
  8. I just wanted to start a thread to hear from those who have had to work at Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc on BF. What interesting stories you may have or any tips you would like to give to us shoppers. I see all these topics about our BF stories as shoppers but would really like to hear from you that have had to work. As shoppers you have read about all of us that have complained about our BF experience with unorganized lines or pallets but would like to hear your complaints about us! LOL! I know that sounds crazy but I figure y'all should get to vent about us as well. I know that the not all of our bad experiences is the cashiers or floor associates fault so please don't think I am putting our bad experiences on you guys. In fact, I think most people are pretty nice (in my experience atleast) to the employees since y'all are the ones having to deal with the craziness of BF as well.
  9. That sucks if the mgt ultimately has the final say. I mean their getting your money regardless so why not just price match it with their online price and sell the dang item! Its a win win for walmart. LOL!! I've only been told once by my local walmart that they don't price match with their online prices but that was a few years ago when it first came out about price matching. I've bought a couple of other items since then and they've priced match.
  10. I love this thread! The only BF kinda funny story I have is...a few years ago me, my MIL and SIL were at the mall shopping on BF when we started to walk by Abercrombie & Fitch. As we were approaching the store, I saw a "guy" out front just standing there like a mannequin. As we got closer I honestly couldn't tell if he was real or a mannequin. I said, "is this dude real?" He must have heard me b/c he looked at me and winked his eye and it freaked me out!! LOL! I hollered, "OMG!! He is real!!" My SIL and MIL laughed and I felt so embarrassed that he had heard me. But kudos to him for doing a great job! He sure had me fooled for a second. Haha!
  11. Ok so me and my boss goggled this Christmas planner and have printed off all the pages to make our very own. I am also making my MIL and SIL one as well. I love this idea!
  12. I don't really play video games, but I do buy them for my 2 DS. I guess I am old school as well b/c I would rather buy them the actual physical games, rather than paying for it to be downloaded onto their system. If I buy a system that comes with a downloadable game for it then I guess they'll just have to download it but any other game they get will be the actual game. LOL!
  13. I try to buy stocking stuffers all year. I have 10 people to buy stuffers for and its easier to buy all year. I still have a lot to buy for stockings on BF though. I get so caught up buying gifts though that I don't as many stocking stuffers on BF as I would like.
  14. I to haven't really seen anyone being rude. For the most part everyone is nice and will apologize if something as simple as their purse hitting me when they walk by. Lord knows I've done that many times and have had my fair share of apologizing. I've never had anyone actually get upset with me about it either. Its ridiculous, to me, to get upset and "showing out" on BF. As a BF shopper you should know WAAAYYY ahead of time that theres a chance you might not get your door buster. Its a chance you take when you agree to shop on such a busy day.
  15. I have to agree with those that are putting that the stores have enough of supply to meet demand. That's a good one and I would probably rather have that than what I put earlier about Walmart opening ALLL their registers.
  16. 1. I've been black Friday shopping for 14 years, this year 2. I'll probably end up spending more b/c both of my kids are wanting different gaming systems this year 3. I would love to shop online during BF this year! I'm hoping I'll be able to! 4. For the first part of the evening I'll be with atleast 3 other people, and after midnight I'll be with 2-4 other people. I shop with 2 sets of people. Haha! 5. I would make Walmart open ALLLL their registers!!! This irritates me so bad!!! LOL!
  17. For me its Bf season when I find myself coming to this website several several times a day! Like I could seriously spend half my day on this website everyday until BF! LOL! But I've gotta work and have kids that play sports and the duties of being a wife so I can't do that.
  18. I am also jumping on the "hoping they go back to opening Friday morning". And yes, I know I contradict myself by saying this, but as much as I hate going out on thanksgiving night and also all those employees that have to leave their family gatherings to go to work, I am also at those store shopping on Thursday night. Its a love hate relationship. LOL!!! But in all seriousness, I would be happy if all the stores went back to opening on Friday morning.
  19. I didn't know there was such a thing as a Christmas Planner, but would love to have one. It sure would make it a lot easier for me since I buy for so many people. What all is even in one? I need to google this! LOL!

    Pottery Barn

II think they do, but maybe not very big. A friend that I went shopping with one year went in there to get some stuff and I think she got a small deal. I could very well be wrong though. I went to Crate and Barrell last year and seriously stayed in there long enough for the restaurant next door to open so we could go eat. Their prices were crazy and NO good sales. I was amazed to see the people in there buying it up though. LOL!
  21. IMO, if Target does offer anything it will probably be something like a $25 GC, but that's a big IF to me. Part of me thinks they won't offer anything at all, but the GC is probably the only thing you might would get. I just don't see them lowering the price on it though.
  22. Wow! I love BF as much as everyone else, but y'all won't ever be reading about me camping out like that. Hahahaha!! Just not for me. I do applaud him if he's truly doing his for a charity though.
  23. I know it may be another week or so before we get anymore ads but let me just say...They are killing me with the anticipation of waiting!!!! LOL!!!!! I'm so ready to see some ads for the stores that I shop at!! So ready to start planning my shopping list for that day!!!!
  24. I would love to start decorating, but not going to b/c my house is decorated so cute for the fall/thanksgiving. I got a lot of great ideas from Pintrest this year and I love all that I've got put out. I'll decorate for Christmas the day after black Friday.
  25. Our has changed in recent years. It use to be that we left around 4am, shop then eat breakfast around 6am, shop, shop some more, shop way more then come home late in the afternoon. Now its go to walmart on Thanksgiving (which angers me, but I go so....), come home and sleep til 2am, get up and head to a mall that's atleast an hour away to hit Target and all the other stores. Eat "lunch" around 6am bc the Chick Fil A in this particular mall doesn't serve biscuits, then shop more, eat "real" lunch around noon and head home. By then we've gotten quite a bit of stuff. In past years, I normally come home and head back to WM just to see if anything is left. I've actually scored some BF deals that were on thanksgiving but never sold out. The next day we head out to get our Christmas Tree and decorate!! The BEST new tradition that we've done is when I go to WM on Thanksgiving, I pick up a Christmas DVD that's on sale and we watch it that night before I head off to be to get 2 hours of sleep.
