The name changes all over the US! Here in Minnesota its Herberger's. And in Iowa its Younkers whereas in Wisconsin its Boston Store. But I think it has leaked in the past but only certain websites post it and I thought it usually leaks the week of BF. I'm not sure if the ad is the same all over or not but we always hit up Herberger's on BF because they do have great deals.

Depends on where you live. We usually hit up BBW last (around 7am) and they've always had quite a lot left. My friend, that worked there last year, said they had them through the noon hour. Our town is medium size but I heard of some BBW that sell out quicker. Perhaps call your local BBW a few days before BF and ask them how many they have and how quickly they sold out last year.

Last year they changed from 6am to 5am and now to 4am...well it does make it a bit more difficult to get everywhere when they open. I think regardless, to some degree, of the ads we will be waiting at Target. Usually while my sister and I are waiting at Target, my mom and aunt are hit up Herbergers and get back at Target before they open, but we will have to figure out something else since they are both opening at the same time this year. Oh well, maybe an earlier opening time will equal a little less people out and about??! Probably not

YIPPIE!! So excited! Can not wait for the ads! I have an idea of the general things we need to get on BF but am sure it will double or triple once I see the ads! We have never done the midnight thing either. My sister and I enjoy Thanksgiving with our family and we usually leave around 2 (this year a bit earlier since Target it opening an hour earlier), and our mom and aunt hit up Herbergers then they meet us at Target.

At Walmart a couple of years ago (maybe 5yrs or so) the CareBears came back as a hot item and we wanted to pick up two of them for our younger siblings. They were located in a big square metal box in one of the wide isles that separate the clothing section from the grocery area and the box was taped off until 5am. Once they took the tape off and people were allow to grab and there was literally a stampede of people rushing to grab the bears and my sister was over there to try to our two. She came away without a scratch (with two bears) but she said people were pushed down by the crowd and some of the CareBears were ripped apart by the seams by people fighting for them. We found out later when we went over to Target to wait for them to open that a person broke their arm and another one their wrist in "The Great CareBear Stampede" <--which is what we now call it by.

Last year Best Buy had a really neat touchscreen camera, I don't recall the brand, but I wanted to buy it on a whim. I figured that if they still had any by the time we got there (about an hour or so after they opened since we had to hit up Target a town away first) I would buy it. Once we got to BB we found out that the store couldn't find their shipment for that particular camera and offered a similar make/model but without the touchscreen. So I impulsively bought it anyways but decided the next day that I didn't need it or want it so I returned it. Nothing really wrong with it but I guess it was a little bit of buyer's remorse...

I have only just started figuring out what to get people or an idea of what to get. The only person I think I am done with is my brother-in-law... Throughout the year I have a rewards program for both my credit and debit card that I always redeem in early November for gift cards to Target and Best Buy.

Very good BF for us this year! Target - 3am My sister and I got in line, there were about ten people in front of us. Our mom and aunt headed over to Herbergers where they opened at four and by the time they got to Target at 4:40am the line was about 100 people long so they decided to wait in their car until the line went into the store. We got the following: - 32" Westinghouse - Nikon Camera - RCA Portable DVD Player - Digital Photo Frame - Would you Rather? Game - Dyson Animal Vaccum - DVDs (My Sister's Keeper, (2) Up, Gran Torino, Tudors S1, 30 Rock S2, Fast & Furious, Funny People, Role Models, etc...) We then went 20mins to a bigger town and first went to Best Buy Best Buy - 6:20 - Wanted to get the Nikon S60 but the Best Buy didn't know where the shipment of those cameras went so they had a replacement camera for the sale price of $179. The replacement camera was the Nikon S630 which is retailed at $250 whereas the Nikon S60 was $299 but the hardware on the Nikon S630 was better than the S60 but didn't have a touch screen. I was okay with the replacement Nikon S630 so I took it. - Sony $10 Headphones - USB Drives - Camera Stick - Motorola Bluetooth - DVDs (Benjamin Button and He's just not that tinto you) Bath & Body Works - 7:15am - Tote with a $40 purchase Schells - 7:45am - Columbia light jackets - $1 socks Famous Footwear/Halmark/Old Navy/Pier One - 8:15am - Misc. things We then headed home and took naps, I decided at 3pm to check out Walmart to see if they had anything good left. Walmart - 3pm - Pyrex four piece - $13 - DVDs (Observe and Report, The Wrestler, Duplicity, State of Play, Appaloosa, Definitely Maybe, etc...) So overall a very successful and exhausting BF! The additional pages are not in the paper ads anywhere, it states online that they are only on the online version of the Target BF ad.

There was a new selection of a few Blu Ray titles in the additional six pages of the Target BF ad found on their website.

I was hoping for more standard DVDs in the additional sales since their selection is not very good this year. What about all the "blockbusters" that have come out the last two-three months?! I feel the blu-ray thing is kinda getting shoved down our throats....but the blu-ray player in the additional pages does look nice...maybe I'll give in or maybe I'll hope off for something to get next BF...

I ordered Slumdog Millionarie and Sunshine Cleaning from Amazon for around $8 each.

My Bro-in-law works at Target in a mid-size town and he said that that particular Target has 58 of the TVs. He also said that the Target we go to in a small-mid size town about 20miles away has 46 TVs. So it seems they will be as well stocked in them this year as they were last year!

Southern Minnnesota Thursday: A little Rain/Snow - High 38/Low 28 Friday: Clear - High 42/Low 24 Wow I think it's warmer than last year's BF! Not bad at all!

It really depends on what the size and location of town you're shopping in. I shop in a small-mid size town and Target is by far best bet for me personally if I was in your position. But I have never been to TRU or Gamestop on BF nor have I been to Best Buy when they open (usually an hour after). If you do Target, again depending on your town, I would line up by 3am. and with three of you guys going for it I think you should be fine. It's a bit vague but hope it helps!

Where's Herberger's? That is all I'm waiting for...

Possibly a few hours...We are going to Target for the TV and I want to be there around 2:30 so I'll leave at 2:15...If I'm lucky I'll get 4 hours of sleep. But with all of the excitement on BF I don't need a whole lot of sleep until I'm all done then I crash!

I think I'm still sticking to Target's Westinghouse but there are some good littler things I want to pick up...after I'm done at Target...

I've said this before on the Target board but we got two Westinghouse on BF last year at Target, one for me and one for my parents and neither of us have had any problems and are very happy with them. I'll be upgrading to the 32" this year...hope this helps :)

Huh that is interesting! I've never tried pricematching so that is good to know in case I decide to try it this year!

By the sound of people under the walmart thread you can actually pricematch the DVDs at Walmart on BF. Just bring the items and the Target ad to the checkout and they will give you Target's price.

The Targets around me have them in the camera section and they hand them out and you bring and pay for them at the main check outs. But I would call your Target the week of BF (probably Wednesday morning) and ask them as well just to be sure!
