I would love to see Best Buy or Target tonight or tomorrow! I stopped shopping at Walmart on BF due to the craziness.

If I recall, last year the DVD calendar was either didn't happen at all or they released it the week of BF.... I remember being really frustrated with it as that is the main thing I keep an eye on with Amazon.

I hope they start dropping soon! I'm excited to look at them and complain about them But, seriously, I really want to see Target, Michaels, Best Buy, and a few more badly!

To be completely honest, election fatigue is killing everything! With that said, the election does not impact my BF or holiday shopping. I know exactly what I want to get on BF and a price point I want to stay in.

My aunt and uncle went there last year before she had to go to work. They literally only got through that store before 8am! I don't have any additional tips (besides picking out what you want ahead, get in line early, etc...) but good luck to anyone who tries JoAnns in the morning!

I'm really only looking for cheap DVDs - I was disappointed with their selection last year (or I was being more selective...).

I now have the urge to do it this weekend.... I might hold myself off by putting the lights up outside at my parents' house...

My BIL is a hunter and outdoorsman and I love Duluth Trading Co. for unique gifts (http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/mens/mens-gifts-mens-gear/mens-gifts-and-gear.aspx). I got him beard oil, survival knife (he loves knives), and 'brick' soap. I have a couple of people who are difficult - mainly because I want to find the right gift and I over think it! I don't like to go just the GC route so I like to at least find something fun and unique and give them a GC if it was an inexpensive gift.

I'm already done with a few people and halfway done with a couple more. I still have about 8 people I haven't started with yet but not all of them are big or expensive gifts.

I tend to cash in my rewards for BF and I set aside cash as I get it. I also start collecting GCs to be used for BF. Last week, Groupon was doing a GC to Target for $20 and you only had to pay $10. Since Target is where I spend most of my money on BF, I put aside GCs that I get if I buy deals (buy 2 kitty litters get a $5 GC, etc...). BF also falls on a payday for me so that helps. I don't go too wild on BF so I don't have to save much more than a couple hundred.

My family isn't as hardcore about football on Thanksgiving. Mainly because the Vikings don't always play on Thanksgiving. They are this year though so it may be on in the background.

I'm looking forward mostly to seeing Target's since that's where we'll probably try to get two TVs. I also want to see Best Buy, Bath and Body Works, Scheels, Herbergers, Micheal's, Amazon (their DVD calendar), and Barnes and Nobles.

Probably the weekend before Thanksgiving. It's nice to come back from the Thanksgiving festivities with it up and ready to go!

I don't think it will make a difference for BF but I think stores will try to entice consumers with good deals up until Christmas.

Best Buy opened at 5pm the last two years. Hopefully this means Target will follow suit and open at 6pm as they did the last two years (I really don't want it earlier than that)!

I have a family member that works at the geek squad and, according to him, the cell phone sale will start on Sunday. BB is trying to curb what happened last year when there was a 3+ hour wait with the cell phones. So keep an eye on the weekly flyer! I'm planning on swinging by on Sunday for the iPhone 6.

I did not care for the opening times. With that being said, my mom and I started shopping at 6am on Friday and got everything we were after. There was not a lot we needed or wanted to warrant skipping the family's Thanksgiving. I did quite a bit of online shopping and found that, in some cases, I greatly prefer that to fitting crowds and stupid drivers at ridiculous times.
