  1. Can anyone make out which Cricut Cartridges are pictured for $12.99? It gets too blurry for me to see when I zoom in.
  2. Divinity These scrumptious swirled confections are wonderful for gift-giving or adding to a plate of homemade candies. http://s3.amazonaws.com/gmi-digital-library/9b346911-8197-4ffd-b09c-21c49c5761bc.jpg PREP TIME 20 min TOTAL TIME 12 hr 55 min SERVINGS 4 2 2/3 cups sugar 2/3 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup water 2 egg whites 1 teaspoon vanilla 2/3 cup coarsely chopped nuts 1. Cook sugar, corn syrup and water (use 1 tablespoon less water on humid days) in 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking, without stirring, to 260ºF on candy thermometer or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a hard ball that holds its shape but is pliable. 2. Beat egg whites in medium bowl with electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form. Continue beating while pouring hot syrup in a thin stream into egg whites, beating constantly on medium speed. (For best results, use electric stand mixer, not a portable handheld mixer since beating time is about 10 minutes and mixture is thick.) Add vanilla. Beat until mixture holds its shape and becomes slightly dull. (Mixture may become too stiff for mixer.) Gently stir in nuts. 3. Drop mixture from buttered spoon onto waxed paper. Let stand at room temperature at least 12 hours, turning candies over once, until candies feel firm. Store in airtight container. Expert Tips Try it dry: Making this candy on humid days requires a longer beating time. Leftover egg yolks keep for 2 or 3 days in the refrigerator; cover tightly to prevent a skin from forming. You can also freeze egg yolks, but they will be harder to mix with other ingredients once thawed. Add extra yolks to scrambled eggs or omelets for an extra-rich breakfast or brunch dish. One of my favorite memories is making this with my mom every year.
  3. I leave the decision of when up to my son if he wants them up before or after his birthaday since his birthday is 12/8. Normally he picks the weekend of Thanksgiving to put everything up.
  4. Is this it? http://rootsandwingsco.blogspot.com/2009/07/plastic-canvas-snowflake-picture.html or more like this? http://hubpages.com/hub/Snowflake-Picture-Ornament
  5. Funny I was just thinking about this today. We just decided to make a trip to KY to see my in laws for Thanksgiving so I'm considering decorating this weekend so that when we get back it will all be done.

    DVD Seasons

Does anyone know if they normally have the TV Seasons on DVD online? Normally I would just price them at my local Walmart but this year I will be in Kentucky, in a town with a Walmart but no Target.
  7. I had this happen with ds at that age too. I told him they were for his cousin and then gave them to him anyway. Since his cousin lived out of state, he never realized I hadn't sent them to him. He never even mentioned that his cousin got the same toys. I think by Christmas he had forgotten all about seeing them. Maybe that would work for you.
  8. I'd go with the kiddie ones you seee at Walmart. Both my kids and DH are avid fishers and we always start with the cheap ones. I wouldn't worry about the expensive ones until he is older. The kid ones are great for a 3 year old.
  9. I've never had a problem price matching at my Walmart. Even though alot of the stores are out of the 30 mile radius. The manager there always says they will price match on BF and it's never been an issue.
  10. I got this from an email that I'd signed up for. It is a wonderful breakfast, snack or dessert. The best part is it's easy to make! Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread INGREDIENTS 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 cans (16.3 oz each) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits 1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted DIRECTIONS 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 12-cup fluted tube cake pan. 2. In large plastic food-storage bag, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. Separate dough into a total of 16 biscuits; cut each into quarters. Shake in bag to coat. Arrange in pan. Mix brown sugar and butter; pour over biscuit pieces. 3. Bake 28 to 32 minutes or until golden brown and no longer doughy in center. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn upside down onto serving plate; pull apart to serve. Serve warm.

    Holiday Recipes

Do you mean the Oreo balls? You crumble the oreo cookies, add in cream cheese then dip in chocolate? If so here's the recipe. Oreo Chocolate Balls Ingredients 1 package regular size Oreo cookies, crushed 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 1 package white almond bark 1 package chocolate almond bark Directions 1 Using a blender or hand held mixer, mix Oreos and cream cheese together. 2 Roll into walnut size balls. 3 Chill for an hour. 4 Melt approximately 3/4 package of white almond bark. 5 Stick a toothpick in an Oreo ball and dip it in the melted white almond bark. 6 Allow to harden on wax paper. 7 Takes about 15 min. 8 While waiting, melt about 1/4 package of chocolate almond bark. 9 When Oreo balls are no longer sticky to the touch, decorate with drizzles of chocolate and white almond bark. 10 I just use a sandwich bag with a tiny hole cut in one corner to drizzle the almond bark. I make them using chocolate chips instead of the almond bark. You can also try the mint oreos or the candy cane ones, supposed to be really good.
  12. I collect snowmen and just love getting them out! I give the kids Hallmark ornaments every year that signify something they were really into that year. It's always fun to pull the ornaments out and look back on what they loved in the past. DS has gotten Star Wars, Spiderman, Veggietales, and Indiana Jones. DD has gotten Nemo, Mickey, Madagascar, etc. DH collects the Star Wars Hallmark ornaments. I also buy my mom the Harry Potter ornaments every year. She collects them.
  13. My daughter was born in October and the following November for BF I bundled her into my sling carrier and headed to Kmart (understand there was maybe 10 people there). Since I had her with me we got interviewed for the local paper and made the front page. She was 7weeks old and already made the paper for BF.
