  1. For the coupons that were valid I'd call the 800 number or email (emailing is nice because you don't have to get into a back and forth with the person on the other end) and raise a fuss. Particularly over the LOD's attitude. That is just uncalled for!
  2. It is on the coupon generator at fullcup, too.
  3. I found some of the Spiderman wall stickers in the hardware section today that come up NOF. They are the ones manufactured by Sandy Lion and have the standard red & blue Spidey, not the black & white from the last movie. Got them for $2.48.
  4. It comes through from corporate. the stores themselves are not involved other than the team who applies the stickers. the information comes via computer into their PDAs, and they mark down what they are told to mark. But that doesn't make it any less frustrating....
  5. At our store they all did, including the aquadoodles.
  6. Okay, gang...how shall we describe the juice thing so Brad can add it to the opening post so we can stop having to repeat ourselves constantly? Here is my start: MM Juice or MM packs refer to 10 packs of Minute Maid juice boxes that can generally be bought for $.69. They are found in the juice aisle mixed in with the 15 packs. This usually includes only the Grape, Apple & Fruit Punch flavors -- never Orange Juice. They look exactly like the 15 packs which are generally stocked on the shelf, but instead of having 3 rows of 5 boxes, there are only 2 rows. They are often mixed in with the others, and even hidden in the back behind the 15 packs. You may go months or longer before you find your first set, but they really do exist. They are not an urban legend. And most of us can attest that you'll do a little dance in the aisle when you find them the first time.
  7. Thanks for the response! We'll pool our collective will and create the added text and PM it to you. Thanks Brad! I wondered how you were managing!
  8. Why is it that Brad has the time to note these discussions, but we can't get him to pay attention when we ask that the first post be changed to add the info on the MM juices? We have noted it every single month for about 9 months now, and there has been no movement on the issue.
  9. Yeah, the puzzle really isn't in the system. It has the same DPCI as the one that was salvaged back in January, so it isn't terribly surprising. I've had a similar experience when I returned something that had been salvaged. If they ask if you have the credit card with you, next time, just say no. That way you can avoid it without a big issue as to why. The card number isn't on the receipt, so they shouldn't be able to do it anyway. Oh, and if you can still get the window sealers on the 75% off price, your other receipt is still valid for a return.
  10. If you were trying to do a return using receipt lookup (which is sounds like from your saying they had a hard time locating the items - if not, then this doesn't necessarily apply) with the puzzles, that would be the problem. When they make up the price, they generally do a 999-9999-99 for the DPCI. Therefore the receipt lookup won't be able to locate it. And, if you did the receipt lookup for the one you bought higher then lower, it will always refund the cheaper one, not the higher one. That is when you need a paper receipt. Oh, and the 999 thing, they won't generally allow you to return it to any store except the one from which you bought it. They often will ask if there is any chance you'll want to return it because they know it will be a problem.
  11. Weird, but I called to complain about the cashier refusing to take one of those coupons, and they sent my call to a "specialist." She wanted to know where I printed the coupon, etc. I got the impression they were trying to find out if I had used a coupon generator. It was a current Pepsi coupon, and she said she couldn't find it on the site. I said, no, it was on a week or two ago, but it doesn't expire till 4/26. It was all very weird. I finally had to go to take my son to school and was getting annoyed at all the questions. I complained that the issue was that their employees weren't properly trained to take their own coupons off their website. But maybe they are trying to do something with the generator thing. Or maybe it is completely unrelated. Just weird.
  12. No, we are always trying to figure it out, but I don't think anyone has pinned it down. But the first of May to mid-May seems right because they'll do a patriotic round for Memorial Day & 4th of July. If they do it mid-May that will mean another clearance round right after the 4th.
  13. I have never used mine, but it says on the little paper that your card is attached to that you can use a 10% online day IN ADDITION to the in store day. But the number is on that paper, so if you tossed it, it is probably gone.
  14. Fusion players were marked 75% off at the other local store here today. So if yours was still 50% yesterday, I would check this morning.
  15. You know, I just read the other day in Consumer Reports that the Best By and Sell By dates aren't about whether the food item (or drink) is going to suddenly go bad, but are simply telling you about optimal quality. Past those dates they may not have quite as high a quality taste, etc., but they aren't actually going to be bad. Certainly there may be exceptions, particularly with things like meat which actually can start to spoil. But generally, food items are good past their "dates." Milk is a very good example. DH actually used to throw it away after the date, and I had to break him of it. Same with eggs, which will stay good for a pretty long time in the fridge.
  16. You were probably just lucky. There are 2 bar codes on it, and when you scanned it at the scanner, you probably scanned the wrong one.
  17. Wow, I would NOT recommend one for a 3 year old. They are so fragile that a kid of 6 or 7 would break them that easily, but they are an electronics item, and I would think a 3 year old would break them pretty quickly. Also, you will need the software mentioned earlier and will need to convert any videos to the format for the Fusion as well as memory cards to put them on--which a 3 year old could also easily trash or swallow. Just my $.02, but I'd stick with a portable DVD player over a Fusion for a kid that age.
  18. The system will generally take multiples of the $5 coupon if you have enough stuff, but most cashiers catch it that you shouldn't. One cashier I know let me use 4 because he didn't want to ring me up 4 times with separate orders. However, I asked another one who I am very friendly with, and she said she'd rather do it as separate orders so she didn't get into trouble. They can get into a lot of trouble for not catching expired coupons or following the rules on store coupons. It probably depends on the store & manager though.
  19. Probably not. they do this periodically. Usually it is at the store level, not corporate, so if you have the option to avoid that particular store, it is usually fine. Sometimes you can call the 800 number and get stuff like that overturned, but not always.
  20. Okay, I feel like I haven't had much to report lately, but I ran across these deals today: Singer Prelude 8280 sewing machine - 30% off $62.98 DPCI 072120004 The following laundry products 30% off: Downy Mountain Spring scent 120 loads Tide Free 2x Ultra (White bottle) 96 loads Clorox 2 Fresh Meadow scent 66 oz (smaller) bottle
  21. Usually starts in July and ends in early August. They are starting to do a mid-season clearance right now, though, as they need to make room for all the licensed merchandise for the upcoming summer movies. I have been seeing some more clearance in toys, particularly in smaller stores. So if you have small & large stores in your are, check out the little guys for toys. You'll find things clearanced there that are still regular at the larger stores. I just picked up Leapster Batman for my friend (unfortunately, I couldn't get the stupid leapster coupon to print properly) for $6.22 today at a small store. I also saw they had some Finding Nemo Color Wonder boxes 50% off in the toy department. For those who buy CW stuff, these are the ones in the boxes that seem to have roughly similar content to the Mylar packages, and just came out a few weeks ago when they reset that section. They also had a Disney Princess one there.
  22. They can look up the last selling price on the cash register as well. However, some items are not in either place. Older items are completely removed from the system. The thing they are supposed to do is salvage the item, but most would rather increase their sales rather than let it go, and make a customer happy to boot. So they make it up. The ones who ask what the price is might come closer to laziness, but those are the ones most likely to be useful to us, so I certainly can't complain about that!
  23. THere have never been many. I did find, however, this software that you can buy to do your own DVD conversions. I have not used it and am not endorsing it, but it is out there: http://www.pocketdvdwizard.com/nick.html
  24. Not really sure, but NOF is Not on File. Some of the scanners say this. Some say Item Not Found INF. It is probably some sort of internal error message with their programming, say something it has never seen before vs something that has been removed from the system. Could also be a difference in the scanning hardware and the software it uses. They hardware is not all the same, so it could be that. I don't think it is regional, but could be.
