They were not marked down this week. Electronics get done on Monday, so whatever they were before is probably what they are now. They are 50% at our stores.

Picked up wrapping paper 75%. A Gameboy Classic Board Games cartridge for $3.74. Nothing else that we wanted was marked down in video games. Still a lot at 30-50% off. Deal of the day, maybe, was that I got 2 of the larger wine cubes - Australian Shiraz - for $.54. They were found in the storeroom and were all dusty. Haven't tapped one yet, but figured if they weren't great to drink I'd make flavored vinegar to give out as gifts.

Are they closed for Easter? I can never remember which holidays they close for. Other than Christmas and Thanksgiving. I guess Easter must be one of them.

They have done it before. They generally do it over holiday weekends, like Easter this week, when there are fewer sale ads in the paper anyway. It seems like they do it when they are not having as many items on sale that week. It seems like the time or two before when this happened it was only a couple of pages online. They are printing out little receipt notices. It prints out on register tape and they hand it to you with your receipt just like the coupons we get sometimes at the register. They did a similar notice that Global Bazaar was coming in January and again when GB was on clearance.

I wonder if the Dollar Spot will go 50% tomorrow. They could be waiting for St. Patrick's day to pass since there were items for that in it.

You are right. I bought 2 last year and that was the lowest price. The only way I got it cheaper, and I did get my 2nd one for less last year, was because they offered a $25 gift card with the purchase of a DS bundle for Black Friday, and I used my 10% shopping day that day. Then I sold the Zelda game that came with it on ebay for $30 because it was too old a game for my little guy, and I knew it was in demand enough that it would sell. That was quite a deal!

That may be true, but if people start abusing it by using it on stuff that isn't toys they may not honor it. That would stink! I think a DS is totally reasonable as it really is a toy, but I would sure hope people don't just start trying to use it on household stuff. Just MHO, but that is the kind of stuff that pushes companies to stop publishing these coupons. I know that they should fix it in their system to only work for toys, but still, I'd hate to see them go away because of abuse. Remember the big Choxie thing last year when stores stopped taking them? Okay, stepping down off the soapbox now...

it was a real dud here. Just a bunch of junky girls books that no one wanted. Oh well. won't bother again.

It looks like you can go as a "book fair volunteer." I know I have helped a bit with setup once, so I guess that counts. Do they have many books actually for $1? I notice it says selected titles. Just want to be sure it is worthwhile since it is today for us and today is VERY busy!

Oh, no biggie. It is just that the old Wallies used to be only wallpaper type deals. Now they offer both. Roommates makes some really awesome products (their giant murals which take a whole wall), but Target doesn't sell many.

That is true. I did see one store had moved the clearance ones, so you might find them in a regular peruse.

Wallies is actually a brand name. They are vinyl peel & stick wall murals by Roommates. That said, the ones on clearance vary by store. Some stores only have a few of the non-licensed ones on sale like sports, etc. Others have only certain licensed ones on sale like Thomas, Curious George or Hello Kitty. Many (mostly smaller) stores don't carry them at all. If yours has them, they will be in hardware with the stuff like paint brushes etc.

The Nemos were clearanced in September. I wonder if they were planning to bring them back, and only some stores got that. Given the number we have found, it seems possible.

That's funny. At our stores it is the opposite. The NPower ones are 50% and the MixMax is only 30%.

still saw at least 10-12 photokinz at the San Dimas, CA store this morning if anyone is looking out here. saw monkeys, cows, everything, I think.

Could be. I haven't done one in a while. But I don't remember them asking for an address, just a phone number. Well, I was annoyed enough that I emailed CS. We'll see what they say.

They had to get your address somewhere. Could also have gotten it through a complaint to the website or 800 number.

They mail them out to customers of the website and Red Card holders. That said, I have been both and have not received a catalog this time around. So, it is possible they are doing it more randomly this go around. Though, I haven't ordered off the website for a while, so maybe that is the primary criteria and the reason I didn't get one.

Yes, today at one store. I think they are in the hardware area along with stuff like wall stickers and paint.

I used the coupon today too, but that doesn't mean we won't have future problems. Still, it was a legitimately issued coupon. No one appears to have manipulated it in any way. They should honor them. But, they may not want it to continue to be available if people are abusing it. I suspect the ebay thing might have been a real issue though. It says right on it void if sold. Not that they can tell, but still, it might have been the reason.
