Yeah, and I think a lot of people don't realize they NEED a gift receipt b/c they are buying it from the registry. Stupid policy on that one.

We used it too, but not that many people bought from it for us. We also registered at Sears for tools and got a LOT of those for our wedding! It was really cool for DH. Made him feel a real part of the process. Hopefully those horror stories are anomalies.

Just back. My boys got a free Bull Frog & a Cocker Spaniel. The San Rio store had it set up as a grab bag thing where they were in brown bags & it was a surprise. They are both happy. One bought a mouse and the other bought a Persian cat.

Ooh! Beware the registry! We have heard some nightmare stories on here about the registry and duplicate returns! One person was blocked from doing returns at Target because she did so many returns and they were from her registry!!! Anyone else? Not to turn you off too much, but best to be forewarned.

If it HAS a clearance sticker on it and you take it up to the register, you'll get the sticker price. If it rings up INF without a sticker, they'll often just ask you how much it was and sell it to you for that. Sometimes they'll try to find a price. And sometimes they'll just stay sorry.

so what were the free ones you guys got? I am taking my boys out today to do this, and am hoping it is one they don't have. I called and the San Rio store is doing it all weekend, so I am hoping they have the best selection. But there is a Hallmark at that mall too, so maybe...

I'd steer clear, personally. I bought a different Memorex MP3 player for DS last year for his birthday, but it never worked, and we had to return it. It turned out it had known problems when DH started trying to figure out the problem. At minimum, I'd Google it and see if you find people talking about problems. We also bought a Memorex boom box about 6 months ago to use in the boy's room, and it broke within a week. Took that back too. After 2 such negative experiences with their products, I am not willing to give them another chance.

From what I've heard, the Fusion plays the Disney clips, but not the other way around.

The cards have never been plentiful. I have only ever seen a handful of titles. You are much better off getting some software and doing your own. Besides, in the long run it is MUCH more cost effective. Just covert your own DVDs to the format to put them onto the standard SD cards.

There is a software program you can buy for about $25 to convert them. I found it once before and posted it, but can't remember where it was. Someone else said they bought it though.

Okay, now that I have finished reading everyone else's goodies.... I found the POTC Mix Stick & Mix Max both 75% off so $12.48 & $24.98 respectively. I also found some Super Mario DS player cases 75% off for $4.98 and some DS starter kit sets in a hard case 75% off for $6.24. They had a couple of Wii games 50% off - Arctic Tale & Sea Monsters both $14.98. Cute little Classic Pooh baby clothes 30% - 50% off. These are the ones on hangers in with the regular clothes. Our church always does a Mothers Day thing where they collect new baby items for a free clinic. These are SO cute! I saw one store had the boxed Color Wonder sets referred to last week 75% off. Unfortunately, they only had one trashed set left. The other store is still at 50%.

Holy cow!!!! I wish I had seen this! DH's GPS fell off his windshield and broke a month ago! He keeps borrowing mine while we wait to see what Maestro does for him! I'll have to look for one.

Yup, that is their policy. But I would have, and have in the past, done the same thing if it was still available! The real problem is when it was clearance!

Should be soon. Ours have been at that price for at least 3-4 weeks. They have been dragging electronics markdowns out much longer lately, so it is hard to guess, but I'd check tomorrow for it to be 50%. If not, maybe next monday.

It won't work. They are hard-nosed about the policy. I have seen people leaving in tears over things like that, but they are very strict. You'll probably need to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. That is likely what they'll tell you if they haven't already.
