Yeah, that is why they end up with stuff left when everyone else is sold out. I checked the garden area inside the store (looking at Sunny Patch) yesterday afternoon, but it hadn't budged. So possibly this morning.

Sometimes with the rest of the toys, sometimes about a week after.

One of these days....I have been back to Houston for business, but never had time to drive out. I graduated from HS there, and my Mom has gone back for a visit, but I haven't been able to. Of course the humidity & bugs are SUCH an incentive to visit from CA. Still, I have friends from school & church there I'd love to see again. one of these days...

Which Pasadena store? Madre or Lake? The Madre store was marking in the garden center yesterday afternoon, however they marked most of the patio stuff a few weeks ago. The Lake store has been VERY behind for more than a month. I'll try to check when I go later today.

Yeah, I was talking to the toy manager at one store, and he said they are supposed to have it reset by the 20th. So they have to move stuff.

The globe price was caught and is back up to full $14.99 now.

Last year toys did not go to 75% off until 8/1 & 8/2 in most areas. One or two people reported some stuff 7/30-7/31. The year before it was the same thing.

Nearly out of patio stuff, and they moved the rest to the garden center. However, I was at the Glendale Galleria store tonight, and they still have a TON of patio stuff, and they BTS stuff is also being stocked, so keep your eyes open. They'll probably show up soon. I had to go back and get another globe for my friend. She was leaving town for vacation and didn't want to miss it.

Best deal of the day - Back to School section. 12" globe marked $3.74. If I am not mistaken, this is the 75% off clearance price from last year. The globe should be at least $14.99, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were higher. So if you want one, grab it now! they'll probably catch it and raise the price.

The REAL toy clearance has officially begun! At least in a couple of our stores. I have noticed that not all the stores are in line on this one. That may mean that we'll see straight to 75% on some stores as they have to get ready for the reset. That said, I saw a LOT more stuff marked down today, particularly in Legos & action figures. I pretty much saw numerous red Clearance signs sticking out in every aisle today. One of our stores is at least a week ahead of others, and are already at 50% on most stuff. Anyway, take a look in the next week or so, and you should see more stuff marked.

Yes, there was a whole discussion of it over the last day, but someone got bent out of shape and removed it.

No idea. I wasn't interested in getting one (so glad not to need them anymore), but happened to notice it while I was in the boys department. They were looking for an Eddie Bauer one that they couldn't find, and I overheard them.

they mark baby stuff on Mondays, and they were marking a bunch of car seats today.

It has already started. They always do it in waves, and several people have reported a fair number of items already marked down. The final markdown never comes until the end of July to the First of August (it is always just as we are about to go on vacation, so I am always in a panic as to whether I'll get what I want). This year may be slightly different if they want to reset the Action Figures aisle early. There will be a HUGE launch of the new Star Wars toys July 26th, so I am not sure how they'll handle that relative to their regularly scheduled clearance. They don't usually reset the department until after the clearance is fully moved.

They are 30% off at one of our stores. They don't mark them all down around here. They have them year round, so they clear out some and keep some.

No, they went to 50% a couple of weeks ago. Same with the patio furniture. The Lake store is still at 30%.

Besides long gone....it was the summer stuff in the "mini-seasonal" section (where they put the Christmas stocking stuffers & Valentines stuff, that sort of thing). They had a lot of lawn toys, BBQ & picnic stuff and the like as well as lawn chairs and such. Now that section is full of bulk items till the Halloween stuff hits in late August or early September. I could be wrong. I don't think there is another setting, though, till the Halloween stuff comes in. They might do a back to school bit there as well, though. Just can't recall.
