  1. It should, though some stores will just salvage it out. That happened for Halloween at one of our stores. They are in a BIG hurry to get Easter stuff set out. They might also just box it up so they can get Easter set and stick the Vday stuff on an end cap or two.
  2. They always have to use the scanner gun on mine.
  3. That is interesting. I have only found plain & parmesan garlic in the small bags, regardless of size. I didn't notice the difference in weights, either. Though I did see the different price.
  4. I think they were all $2 until recently. They introduced the new single origin types at a higher price, and I think they are bringing the others in line with it. But they haven't gotten all the shelf tags and computers up to speed.
  5. In some stores the thin choxies show a $2.00 price on the shelf tag for the peppermint crunch and espresso, but actually ring up for $3.00. So, if you decide to buy them, be sure they ring up right, or you make them correct it at the checkout.
  6. That's it! I just checked the package. Thanks Gator Pam! So, everyone look for the pink X on the packages in the regular Choxie stuff!
  7. I finally found 2 packs of the .69 juice boxes!! I almost did a little dance in the store. I thought that they probably had just sold out in my area and that was that. So nice... A little thing I noticed today. There are those long narrow packages of Choxie truffles. The regular round shaped ones. SOME of them are on Vday clearance. It isn't at all obvious, either. They start with Tiramisu on one end and end with Black Raspberry. They were originally $7. Right now the scan at $1.75. They are found on the end cap display of regular Choxie stuff. They are not the ones with a white one in the middle. I noticed that in some stores they have identical looking packages with a different UPC code. I could be wrong about that. It could be that some stores simply don't have them marked, but I think the UPC changed. The DCPI is 055071500. Since they are generally in the stack of regular priced merchandise, people are not snatching them up. So there is a good chance to get them for 90%, too. They are pretty good.
  8. though occasionally you may get hassled by the cashier. I have used several without incident, then had a cashier try to tell me I couldn't use them all at once. He also was scrutinizing them because I have a laser printer so they were black and white.
  9. Has anyone else ever had the experience that a particular store seems to get a bunch of extra clearance items. Like, you suddenly find more than there were a few days ago kind of thing? I am bored tonight ... DH is working and the kids are in bed... so I was reading a thread on a Target employee site. Apparently they route extra clearance items to particular stores sometimes. They do it for stores that are better at selling more items with the lesser discount (15-30% range). Just thought that was interesting. I have, from time to time, seen boxes on carts on the sales floor of some stores that are marked "Tagged Clearance Ready to be Worked." Apparently this is stuff they get from their distribution center that is already red tagged for them. So, if you see that kind of thing a lot, it might mean your store clears things out before the deeper discounts. It also might explain where some of the things we are watching end up if they don't go to salvage.
  10. Domestics, I believe. It usually goes on Tuesday or Wednesday here, and I believe it will drop this week.
  11. I haven't had any problems with them, but I thought I might when I first used the Choxie coupons. I had one tell me they wouldn't take it, and I told her to ask her manager. She came back and said they would. I am surprised they bother taking so long. They are rated on how fast they ring things up and finish a transaction. That is why they will suspend the transaction if you have a problem. They just move on to the next customer and come back to you. Better for them.
  12. I scanned several items, and they were still 50% in CA
  13. If you really want it, and it really is going to be in the sale ad, I would buck up and get it now.
  14. I was able to pick up the bike version this morning. It was $56! down from $260 or so. Unfortunately, no rebate on this one. But still a great gift for a mountain biker family member.
  15. while true, they also do the seasonal stuff markdowns from corporate, but some are already at 75% and most are still at 50%. And for Christmas in my area, 2 stores were 2 days behind the other stores for their seasonal markdowns.
  16. that is why we have carseats in both our cars.
  17. where is the rebate? on the package?
  18. I am still relatively new. What is the newbie guide you are talking about?
  19. Yes, those would be the Thin Choxie bars. The ones you want are thicker but smaller looking. Go to the checkout lanes first, and look on the top rack where they have chocolate candy bars and such (not the gum). You should see some in blue boxes (peanut butter) and some in brown boxes (espresso) both have dots on them. That is the style of packaging. Then, go back over where you found the others to see if they have additional flavors. Or, if there is a $2 shelf tag for some spots that are empty. I got lucky today as one store had two flavors of the Thin Choxies marked $2, so I got those free.
  20. Oooh Nice! I LOVE my waffle maker! I make them 2-3 times a month on Saturday mornings. I can highly recommend the Betty Crocker waffle recipe. Doesn't really take any longer than Bisquick, and it tastes MUCH better.
  21. Someone else mentioned them on here. In Eagle Rock, CA they have 2-3 different GPS units marked half price. They moved them to an end cap in sporting goods. I was thinking of getting one for DH, but the ones I saw were hiking and bike versions, and he only wants one for the car. I almost forgot to share: I scored 6 jars of Archer Farms Organic Salsa for $.74 each after the coupon. They were on clearance down to $1.74 from $2.49. I also got a Holmes Humidifier for $14.98 - 50% off. Has anyone else found the Illustory marked 75% yet? I am still waiting here. I want to use it to have DS kindergarten class make a book for their retiring teacher.
  22. I didn't think it sold particularly well the first time, though it must have been good enough for them to repeat. It is also possible that they have higher margins on this stuff. No way to know on our part, of course. However, it seems like it sells really well in some areas and not others. Some of you were saying that it was nearly gone already at 30%. Here in LA it seems like little has sold except for some of the smaller items. Just curious. If it is nearly gone in your area, do you have other stores like Cost Plus or Pier 1 in your area? I wonder if that is the target market segment, but in some of the larger cities there is simply more available. Just a thought.
  23. Yes, Yes, Yes, please do that !!! It really helps to know where people are. You don't have to give more than your state if you aren't comfortable with it, but it sure would be nice to know when the item is on sale and available in your area.
  24. I just tried one of the gourmet types today, the Olive Oil & Sea Salt chips. They are thick cut. Very different than regular chips but good. My 2 boys (3 & 5) both liked them as well. The Choxie bars are actually pretty good. DH is quite picky about his chocolate, and he thought it was pretty good too. We tried the mint cookie and the espresso.
