  1. Not sure about any of that, but they definitely show up on the regular shelf with the 15 packs. It is the first I have heard about them supposedly belonging in the snack bar. They just randomly show up on the shelf where the 15 packs are. Sometimes it pays to move the 15 packs around to look for them. I have found them pushed to the back behind everything else. I have also just found them alone on the shelf before.
  2. They often go 75% online eventually, but some items they keep at regular price, not clearance at all. Hard to say. I saw what looked like some of last year's GB stuff still online last week.
  3. Just as well she talked you out of it. From our experience, it isn't very good quality. Just not as strong as it ought to be. Cheap, I guess would be the best description. Once upon a time, when B&D was made in the USA, they had high quality tools. Not so much anymore. at least the electric stuff. the manual stuff is still usually decent.
  4. I would try taking it to another store that carries the same model if you can find one. Even if it is full price at the other store, they'll make the exchange. I bought a baby play gym on clearance at one store. Got home and discovered it was missing pieces. So, I took it to another store that didn't put them on clearance and exchanged it for one there. No problems at all. Oh, and if you get a replacement, you should be able to get ground espresso at some of the large grocery chains, especially if you have any of the more upscale chains. You can also get it at Costco if you have one and belong. Trader Joe's carries it, but I don't think they have gotten to MO yet. And, of course, you can simply buy it at any of the local coffee outlets (like Starbucks) and have them grind it for you.
  5. Keep an eye open. I have been seeing the double packs of some flavors on clearance for 30% off. Don't know what flavors he likes, but they seem to have different ones in different stores.
  6. Oh, no fair! I found some vday candy that scanned item not found, and they wanted me to pay 50%! I said no thanks.
  7. I finally got the Illustory sets for $4.98! Unfortunately, I was busy yesterday and apparently missed the markdown on the kids bedding! BUMMER!!!!!
  8. I am beginning to feel the same way. I think we need to keep up the pressure. I get SO irritated that they seem to do things so differently from store to store. However, the laws actually vary from state to state, so that is why you will sometimes see "Except in XX, XX, and XX states" in the fine print. They aren't even required to take coupons at all, though it seems like a stupid idea to not to. One store I heard about actually will make you walk out and back in if you want to do what you did. The idea being that you'll simply leave. In their defense, though, there is a TON of coupon fraud out there. Fake coupons, copies, coupons sold to people through ebay (not really allowed in most states). Then the retailer gets stuck because the manufacturer won't honor them. That is why they scrutinize them when there are multiples. I even read a story about a woman who would come into Target using as many as 70 coupons to get the smallest size allowed for free or near free. They actually banned the woman from the store because she got so nasty about it. But we digress again...
  9. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Decor is stuff like lamps, furniture, framed prints, etc. Housewares is stuff like small electronic appliances, dishes, vacuums, etc. Domestic is bedding, kitchen linens, and bathroom linens. I think that is basically it.
  10. Hey all you GB buyers. I noticed a few of the GB items got stuck in with the new Home line in a couple of stores. In some stores this is next to the GB, in others, I have found it near the stationery. Just worth a check in case you are looking for something. They were mostly the smaller things like bowls, lamps and vases.
  11. Pretty bad behavior on his part. I can't say I am surprised that they will be limiting the coupons in the future. I would have been surprised if they hadn't. Frankly, I thought it was pretty silly not to do it on their part in the first place. Most places that do these say limit one per customer or something.
  12. Hey, there is always birthdays & putting away for Christmas. And don't forget gifts for the kids whose parties your kids go to...
  13. More on Choxie bars if you aren't already sick of them! I was at one store yesterday, and saw an endcap display of the espresso and peanut butter flavors on clearance for $1.14 I think. They were in the same wrapping as the ones that came in the 3 packs. They looked like they should have been out for vday but maybe arrived too late. they were in boxes standing up. I have more than enough chocolate for my family and for the Death by Chocolate fund raiser baskets at this point, so I passed. They were in the food section if anyone is looking at their stores.
  14. it makes sense if there is actually some limit. However, it isn't being enforced that way across the board. some stores are allowing 10, 15, 32 per transaction so long as there are that many items. they just don't seem to have any consistency whatsoever. that is the real problem. it seems to vary from store to store, from day to day, and from cashier to cashier.
  15. It sounds like there are a lot of very poorly trained cashiers out there. However, I have also heard them say that they are told one thing one day, then another. Seems like the company isn't doing a very good job with the whole thing. I think the more of us that call and complain about the problem the better. On a separate note, if anyone has a Playmobil fan in their family, they have the Pirate Treasure Chest marked down 30% at one of the local stores. They did the Knights Treasure Chest after Christmas but not the Pirates. A lot of the stores seem to have removed them, entirely, so I think you'll only see them at a few stores.
  16. you can get the little debbie one at the store kiosk, too. I just actually tried it since I was there, and it worked. just take the whole blue page up to the front. Oh, and there is no doubting that you printed it off the website, since you did it in the store.
  17. I went back to Target late in the day, which I rarely do, to check whether or not something got marked down further. The item hadn't changed, but I was passing by sporting goods and saw what looked like a vday throw behind one of the large basketball goal boxes. It was. :-) Guess someone stashed and missed out. I then turned the corner and found a vday red silicon baking mat sitting on an end cap shelf. Then I walked on down to the vday stuff and discovered a set of the heart cookie cutters and 3 of the Wilton heart shaped cake pans! What a haul! All for about $5.50!!! Yeah! Oh, if anyone in the Los Angeles area was looking for a Golden Tee for $99, they have one at the 2 story Pasadena Target!! It is back in Sporting Goods. I was shocked to see it!
  18. 90% vday here in CA also. Found 4 more juice packs - fruit punch this time!
  19. Funny you should ask. I read recently, on that other site, that they are not allowed to sell it due to liability issues. However, I thought someone on this thread had said they had purchased one at a store. I suspect that the policy is supposed to be not to sell it, but maybe some stores do anyway. I also learned that the policy regarding display appliances varies from store to store. They generally offer 20% off the original price, but some actually donate them to places like shelters for battered women.
  20. something tells me that they'll be making their coupons more limited in the future. or have their been such liberal coupons in the past? I am still new to that part. By the way, I called the phone number yesterday to tell them about a "we aren't really supposed to take these" comment (second one from that store), and the lady on the phone told me that you can print them in the store at the kiosk where they have the registry! Of course it would only work for the ones currently on their site, but nonetheless if you forget it, you might as well try!
  21. I sure hope so. I was kind of expecting it today since they are so anxious to get Easter stuff on the shelves. One of our stores has a whole aisle of stuff left!!!
  22. just be sure to store them somewhere cool. If they get too warm during the summer, they'll have an ugly white "bloom" on them. The taste isn't affected, but they'll look nasty.
  23. Yes. Especially with the Company section (which includes GB, Dollar Spot, and one other area that usually includes decorating & furniture items in a separate section) and Seasonal. They don't always even know. The price change comes electronically from corporate. At Christmas it happened while I was in the store and even the employees in the department didn't know about it.
