the marked Eddie Bauer ready beds (I think they had the pump attached) to 75% off today. $14.98 for a queen size. They also marked the battery operated pumps for air mattresses to 75% off today. $3.74, I think. If you bought a kids ready bed, you really ought to get one. It is 1000% easier to blow them up with one than those foot pump things. -

great coupons. I have heard several of you refer to them, but didn't know where to get them. I know that they have some on their website from time to time, but I never think to check. I assume that the Supertarget coupons are ONLY good at Supertargets? We don't have any within 100 miles of us here in LA, which is a bummer. We have a Greatland nearby but that is it. -

No. The red sticker is simply the clearance price. If you look at the upper right hand corner of the red tag it will show the percentage off: 15, 30, 50 or 75. Usually only holiday items go below 75% off to 90%. The people who do the mark downs will have those PDT guns and little black printers on their carts with a roll of the red stickers to print on. If you see them, then they are doing markdowns. Otherwise, it might just be regular workers moving things around or taking it away for salvage. Hope that helps. -

I almost forgot, they were starting to reset the Dollar Spot at 2 of my stores. They didn't start marking anything down, but they were resetting it. -

I can't remember whether or not I posted this, but in some stores I have seen some kids sheets on sale: Bratz, Spiderman and Superman jersey only. All are twin size. They also have the coordinating comforters on sale. All are 30% off. It looks like the whole Spiderman line, including pillow & throw are also on sale. Not so with the others. -

I don't think that they will. They usually just give you the list of stores that they show have the item. They've certainly never offered. -

that could be, as I don't know your DD, but I just have to pass along that these things are HUGE!!! I mean as far as kid's play tents go, it is enormous! My DSs love it! It really is very cute, too. Not as easy to put up as a pop up, but pretty fast. -

yes, I have had that experience several times. 2 or 3 of the stores I visit are smaller and will clearance items that the other stores keep at regular price for months. But, eventually, they all mark them down and move them out. Sometimes they are quasi-seasonal (smaller stores carry fewer toys during the non-holiday season), and sometimes they just don't sell well at a particular store and they make room for something else. -
In my searches lately, I ran across this site: http://www.targetunion.org which I find sometimes entertaining to read. Especially the parts where they complain about customers.

No, just in a high traffic area. We are in the Los Angeles region, and there isn't much competition for Target here. There is a single Walmart within driving distance, and that is it. So, they probably have pretty high sales anyway. I know that they have a lot of negatives on their customer surveys because I hear the managers talking about it in their morning huddles. Some stores are certainly worse than others around here. The advantage to the sloppy ones is that I can often find bargains in their go back carts. -

Wow, things must be quite a bit different where you are! The stores around here leave baskets full of go-backs in the departments for days on end. I know because I check them regularly. There are 2 stores I go to 5-6 days a week. In the morning, they have a go-backs "train" at the front end near the lanes. When I have asked about whether or not a store will be getting a truck in, the response has always been that "we get trucks everyday." The overnight employees are often the ones who do get a lot of the great deals, too. During the Christmas season, they were the ones taking all the Elmos. I would go to the store next to my son's school right after dropping him off. I was there every single morning before they opened, and on the rare occasions that they had Elmos, the overnight crew was walking out of the toy department with them as the people, myself included, were walking into the store. It was really bad. They do the same thing with clearance sometimes. They have a cart full of the clearance items that the price change team has marked down before the store opens. -

I haven't had much luck doing this. I have tried it 2 or 3 times, and each time I think an employee ends up buying it. It certainly never makes it back to the shelf. I have been there when the store opened, and have even checked back earlier after returning it. No joy. I have also tried to get the price adjustment or to return and rebuy and they refused each time. So, you might get lucky, or you might just lose out. I do agree, though, that your best bet is always with the young and inexperienced employees. Especially the young men who look like they HATE their jobs. Whenever I know an item was clearanced, but it is coming up $0.00 on the scanners, I go to them. They will ask if I know the price rather than try to look it up, and tell me it is salvaged. -

Yeah. I pointed out a bunch of odds and ends that needed marking down to one of the price change team yesterday (this store has an aisle with a mix of clearance toys & sporting goods ++). There was a mix max that I threw in to see what would happen to it (last one I could find that had a markdown), and she salvaged it. even sadder, she salvaged a few collectibles I wanted, hoping to sell on ebay. ahhhh...well. such is life... -

did you actually price check it? They were all at 75% in all the stores I visited. None of these ever sold to speak of here. When I needed to "stash" an item to come back for later, I would often use that spot because they never moved. Interestingly, they have another line of the same things coming out!! Slightly different packaging, but still Eddie Bauer. I saw some in one of the reset stores. -

if you have last week's receipt, then return the ones you just bought (or buy some more) at the full price using the earlier receipt! -

that reminds me, they had a bunch of swiss army knife combos at 75% off too. I think they were in the same price range. -

they sell different brands in different areas. here they sell Ross Swiss and it is fine, but we only buy it in an emergency because it is much more expensive than the grocery stores. It is something like $3.79 a gallon for 2% but I can buy 2 gallons at the grocery store for $3.89. -

I stopped by one of the Targets again tonight to pick up something else I knew was being marked down (one of the clearance team ladies hates me, not sure why, and actively takes things in the back if she knows I want them. really weird woman. one of my pals daughter used to work on the team, which is how I know about it, and she was so nasty that my friend's daughter had herself transferred to a different store...but I digress) today. Anyway, as I was walking past the kitchen stuff I saw the clearance sign on the flatware and wanted to see what people were looking at (just replaced my about a year ago). It was already marked 75%. So, you might want to check again if you were looking at it. Oh, and I saw that they had those kiddie scooters I mentioned in a Cinderella version that was marked $7.48 if anyone has a girl that might like one. They also had some other skates marked down. -

Oh, I forgot to mention that a couple of the stores had Razor Kiddie scooters (not the regular ones) and folding trikes marked down to $7.48. Also, those Little Tykes roller skates for teaching really young kids to skate were down to $4.98. I also saw a random pair of ice skates on the shelf in one store (must have been a return from somewhere else, but if you have ice skates in your store you might want to check) also marked 75% off. -

I got some great deals. I saw that all the stores I visited had their golf clubs and sets marked down 75% off, as well as the foosball tables, loads of dart boards and other sporting goods stuff. Lots of luggage marked down too. They finally marked down some Thomas the Tank Engine Christmas sets from 11.99 to 2.98. I also got: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Backpacks (going to use them to store our earthquake supplies for the car) for $3.48 Elephant Tent $6.24 as mentioned earlier Playhut Barn & School $4.98 each down from 19.99 Playhut Girls Only Salon $6.24 down from $24.99 Zippity Zoo Play Tent & Tunnel $9.98 down from 39.99 They also marked those Fisher Price Little People sets that someone mentioned last week. They were $7.48 down from $29.99. I also saw one store had marked a Little People barn down 30%. I wasn't interested in these, but someone else might be. I mentioned yesterday getting the Christmas Tree holder. I noticed that most but not all of that stuff was down to 75% off. They still have the Snapware and a few other things at 50%. They had some neat Rubbermaid organizers for Christmas wrap, bows, etc. that were$4.98 down from $19.99. I had never seen them before. They are made of heavy weight canvas and zip closed. I don't need one, but they were nice and the store had half a dozen or more. It was the 2 story store in Pasadena if the gal in Monrovia is interested. -

speaking of which...I noticed that some of us have a location that gets posted with our messages, while others don't. it would be great if we had some idea of where everyone is, even if only by state. just my $.02 but it might keep us from perpetually asking where the others are. -

Yes, those as well as the sheets and the fuzzy sage blanket all have almost identical new ones out. Check the last 2 digits of the UPCs to see which ones are new and which are old if you don't want to drag them to the scanner. They also have left quite a few of the Tiddliwinks & Circo crib sheets and blankets hanging in the department without markdown tags. If you see Tiddliwinks butterflies or the animal one labeled Safari instead of Jungle (almost exact same sheet) then they are probably on sale. Any of the Circo stuff with the old packaging look are on sale. You can see the difference when they are side by side.
