I saw 20 pound bags of Iams cat & dog food 30% off at 2 different stores today. Not much else.

$6.98 on the red I Dog. Our fireplace stuff JUST went 50% today!!

They usually only do seasonal items on the weekends. I think those come through from corporate and aren't done at the store level at all. It looks like GB is going to take a more standard route.

chips only. I don't think it applies to snack mix.

At one of my stores it wasn't obvious that the stuff was marked down. There were no signs, but it was. In another store, they simply moved it to the shelves where the Valentines stuff is, again with no sign. But it is marked down.

don't know if you or others are interested, but I saw nice white baskets with pink liners as well as nice shadow boxes in V-day type colors in the crafts area. if you are interested, don't forget to check there! They also had some kid scrapbook stuff that is nice. Oh, and for the Tinkerbell fans, there were nice valentine kits to make your own Valentines with Tinkerbell. However, they were not really all that Vday specific. They could be used for any kind of note, invite, etc. Oh, and there is always chocolate.

I saw those too. They also had DeLonghi & some other brand of toasters marked 75% both at the Duarte/Monrovia Target in CA. They also had an endcap of the Charmin from the bulk stuff. They had not done another markdown on it, it was still $11.05, but I think they must have found it in the back recently. If the other person who shops there sees it lower, please list it. I don't get there as often as other stores.

I just checked my 3rd store of the day, and ours haven't gone down yet.

Did you check in the lanes as well as the chocolate aisle? They usually have the common flavors like Peanut Butter Pretzel & Espresso Dark Chocolate on the top shelf of all the lanes with candy bars. Then they have the other flavors with the Choxie stuff and candy bars in the candy aisle.

I stopped by another store just before picking up DS from preschool, and found a red I-Dog that was part of the toy clearance. Got it for $6.98. Illustory and Sesame & Me haven't gone down again here. I keep watching. I did see that yet another store has marked the Mix Stix down though. So, there is hope for those who were waiting earlier.

I got a couple of the holiday Snapware boxes today. Yeah! They will go into the Arts & Crafts basket for DS preschool fundraiser. I also found some more of the fuzzy poster things in Eagle Rock CA if anyone is in the area. They were mixed with the regular price ones.

I think there is a coupon for both. The Archer Farms one for $1 you can use on the small bags by the register or the large bags with the other chips. The Market Pantry coupon you can only use on the large bags in the chip aisle. FYI, in my area they are starting to run out of Choxie bars so use those coupons soon! I was in a different store that had a different flavor today and didn't have the coupons with me. There was another lady buying a handful, and I asked if she had the coupon. She had extras! Yeah!

Dollar Spot was at 50% in Pasadena today. I also so the Mix Stix making a comeback at $34. You have to wonder what the heck the deal is with those. Don't know about your stores, but ours had very little Valentines stuff left already today. Don't think we'll have much to choose from afterwards.

Yes, be sure to scan them! I was buying some for DS preschool Valentine's party this week, and not only were they not on clearance, they were scanning $.20 higher than the shelf tag! I scanned all 3 flavors.

Once in a while I find other clearance books. I got a box set of Magic Tree House about a year ago. I have also gotten Christmas videos from time to time, but not recently.

the day after it will go 50%. The schedule is generally: 50% off day 1-3 after holiday. 75% off some on day 3, most on day 4-6, post holiday 90% off on day 6 or 7 after holiday for 2 days. I love to buy the post holiday stuff for my boy's birthdays. I usually get some good candy and/or toys for party bags. Candy is great from v-day since they both have birthdays within a short time afterwards.

Well, nothing to do about the transmission - my sympathies - but you should at least call the store on the off chance that some good Samaritan turned it in. I would turn it in to Customer Service if I found it, so it is worth a shot. Or maybe the cart attendant found it. Worth a shot.

around here it is usually at 30% for at least 2 weeks, then at 50% for at least 2 weeks. Sometimes it goes a bit longer. Just be sure to figure out which day of the week they do the mark down (I think they did it yesterday here). That will likely be the same day of the week they do it next time. Sometimes they get ahead or behind on the schedule, but it gives you something to go on.

Yes, that is true, though I always ask just in case the store has a different policy. childofsolitude is also correct, (of course she works there, so she should be ). I am always a bit more wary of As Is clothing items. Those I would check over carefully for damage or missing pieces.

They often mark online returns and returns for items that the individual store doesn't carry (someone bought it out of town or across town) "As Is" when nothing is wrong with it. Whenever I see something out of the ordinary that looks like it might be an online return (like some wooden Thomas the Tank Engine toys that one of the stores has), I try to keep an eye on them. They often ring up Item Not Found, which usually means you can get a good deal on them if you find someone who knows how to use their PDT. Or, if they ring up on the scanner, and don't sell for a while, they will go clearance within a few weeks most of the time. On a separate note, the Global Bazaar is 30% off at one of my local stores.

The candy bars are in 2 places - on the candy racks in the lanes (usually on the top shelf), and in the candy aisle with the rest of the Choxie. The more common flavors are in the lanes. The less common are in the candy aisle. The individual bags of chips are also in the front lanes, but I was only able to find a few bags in each store. They are on a shelf. They only had plain & parmesan garlic potato chips in my stores. I am putting together a bunch of the chocolate bars with chocolate candy I plan to buy on after Valentines clearance to make a Death by Chocolate basket for my son's preschool silent auction fund raiser. Should be fun. :-)

They do it a lot, but I think you always need a coupon. However, they will match a competitor's coupon up to $20 or $25. I clip all the coupons I see and move my prescriptions all the time. I used to use Target for my default pharmacy, but they changed management recently, and are incredibly rude (another customer and I stood there literally for 15 minutes with the pharmacist and the technician refusing to look up and even acknowledge that we were standing there!). So, I just get my GC and switch again the next month.

Oh, I forgot, I scored a cool Lego Creator helicopter with motor today. It was in an aisle that is just full of junk from the 3 surrounding departments that are still in flux. It was a Christmas toy markdown, and I got if for $12.48. I am pretty sure they were originally $69.99.

I know some folks were watching the kids furniture stuff -- small tables, toy boxes, etc. that are in the same area as the kids bedding -- they were marking it 50% today at 2 stores I visited. That included the Dora, Spongebob, & Disney Princess stuff as the Do Your Own Room stuff. I had the lady scan the humidifier I am watching, but it wasn't going below 30% yet. That stuff gets marked with all the fireplace things and heaters. Maybe next week. I can't quite figure out how it fits into their markdown rotation. I am not sure if it goes with hardware & automotive, or bedding.
