While true, it doesn't mean it will last. Just Sunday I was able to use 3 of the $5 off coupons that were for the charmin/bounty/swiffer stuff in a single transaction. I had 2 of the Realsimple ones and one from the paper. I had a slew of other coupons as well, and only bought one package of the TP, one of the Bounty and a package of Swiffer cloths along with a bunch of clothes for DS. No problems. No questions. No scrutiny. I have certainly had problems with other cashiers at this same store in weeks past. So, I think it comes in waves with regard to what they do and how they do it. Did anyone see if the Color Wonder stuff went down again today? It was at 30% here, but DS has a fever today, so I can't get out to check. They still had a LOT of them left at one store, and I would like to get some for gifts.

I don't know. I would hang on to the coupons. Give them a couple of months and they'll probably forget or stop bothering consistently.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned these yet. I saw the licensed shower curtains - Disney Princess, Hello Kitty, Cars & SpongeBob - all marked 30%. None of the accessories, just the fabric curtains. Also, I saw some Black & Decker tool sets 30% off. I can't remember what all, but it included some 18v cordless sets.

Yep, sure enough, they have a major recall. It is largely voluntary. If you have ANY Magnetix from before March of this year, you can send them in for replacement by a variety of products, including some pretty neat large sets. They will replace them with the new Magnetix or with some of the Mega Bloks Pyrates or Dragon sets. They also have some of the younger toys for younger kids. It was in Duarte, and they had the whole set 30% off. The store is just off the 210 at Mountain Ave - easy freeway access.

Oohh! Hurry. I saw it was marked down at one of my local stores here in CA. Not sure where you live, but it isn't on sale at all the stores I visited today. Most stores only had Batman marked down, but one had POTC as well.

Ahhhh...the HEB. I grew up in Houston and went to college in Georgetown. Kroger moved in when I was a kid. We had no HEBs in our neck of the woods. But I discovered them when I moved up to Gtown (north of Austin). Anyway, sorry for the digression gang. I saw that they marked a bunch of the kids bedding down again. Only Batman from the licensed stuff, but 2-3 designs of the Do Your Own Room. They also marked down the remaining Gerber baby clothing and the few remaining Classic Pooh items to 75% off today. You must be in the North or West. They have about 200 stores in TX with their base in Houston.

I know that what you say is the case, but I wanted to add that just because you see the sticker doesn't mean that they haven't come in stock again. I have had employees tell me that it means that they don't have anymore, then pressed to have them check with a PDT only to find that they do in fact have them back in stock, but not out and the stickers remain. It happens a lot at one particular store, but it has happened at others too. So, it never hurts to ask.

Wow, I'm surprised. They should have gone salvage already! They marked them 75% a month ago around here. They are the shiny metallic versions of the characters. Steamies includes shiny Thomas, Percy & Toby.

Ours had them on the end caps near the original aisle, but they just went 30% this week.

If anyone is looking for them, I saw reasonably large plastic storage containers marked down at one of my stores. I can't remember now, but I think they were at 30% and they were the ones that are about 24" long, 18" wide and 18" tall. So a decent size.

They were marking down a few baby clothing items this morning. Not a ton, but some of the Gerber things were 75% off. Just in time for our annual "Bundles of Baby Blessings" Mother's Day push for baby donations to our local free clinic. I also have to say a big thanks to whoever it was who posted that link to the $5 coupons (no longer working for those who missed it) on the RealSimple site. I was able to use one yesterday along with 2 of the $2.50 coupons for all the Tide/Bounty/Charmin etc. stuff. Took my total order down that extra $10 that I really needed.

They were marking electronics & baby stuff again today. I saw the Cars Mix Stick go to half price, finally. Not sure if it will go further.

Just good to let everyone know that they aren't actually grape. I normally buy grape in a larger format for myself and DH. My kids only drink the juice boxes occasionally as they aren't really big juice drinkers in the first place. It was tolerable to drink, but I won't make the mistake again. I actually only buy them when I really need them. But I always check. There are a couple of cashiers at one of the stores I shop at that have small kids and low incomes, so when I find them, I take them up to them to buy for themselves. Never hurts to build good will, and I really like them. When they aren't working, I often point them out to other moms with little kids. May as well share the wealth.

Ugh! The "grape" flavor are just that - flavor. I wanted grape juice for breakfast today, and we were otherwise out. So I decided to open one of the kid's grape juice boxes that I got for .69. It was a funny color so I looked at the box. I didn't realize that they were mixed juice. I usually read the boxes, but let it slide because they were so cheap. So, I discovered that they are actually grape/apple/pear juice in reality.

I found some little Classic Pooh Brag Books for $.98 - 75% off today. Must have done the other CP stuff they had marked down as well, but it was gone as I was late. Still, nice little gifts to take to the hospital, etc. Also saw Scotch tape at 50% off on an end cap. Not much else.

Maybe in your area. Not nationwide. It goes to a wide variety of liquidators including Goodwill, Salvation Army, Big Lots, other regional retailers and some online liquidators.

I forgot to post the other day that I saw a bunch of the guitar stuff marked down. I am not a musician so I don't know what all it was, but it seems like there were some strings, at least one guitar, and a bunch of music books all marked 50% off. Not an aisle I usually peruse, but if you are looking for something, it might be worth a look. Most of the local Targets have marked down some Dora & Diego Playhut tents and ball tents. These are the ones located in the Toy department, NOT the ones in Sporting Goods. I have seen them for 30% off at some stores and 50% off at others. Still another (a Greatland store) had them at regular price, so it might be hit or miss.

The original price was $14.99, so it is really weird. They actually increased the price. At one store, they still have the $9.99 regular price sign over the 3 packs of the Thomas toys that are on sale supposedly at 30% off $12.99. Again, they raised the price before marking them clearance. Hope this isn't going to be a trend.

They marked the Disney Mix Sticks with Cars on them to 30% today - $34.98 I think. I saw the Thomas sets as well. Interestingly they marked them back up to $12.99 from the $9.99 they had been before Christmas and for the last several weeks before they marked them clearance. They also marked the Disney Cars Mack Truck Playset from 30% off Clearance back up to a higher price than before. They had been $14.99, marked to $11.18, and now they are $15.99. Weird stuff going on lately. They were also marking a bunch of Winnie the Pooh baby clothes half price as well as some other baby clothes and odds and ends. Saw most of the odds and ends in the boys department on the end of the underwear.
