Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
lovetoshopCA replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
The price adjustment rule used to be 7 days. Did it change to 14? They have always had a policy to not make a price adjustment for items going clearance as far as I am aware. However, if you can find it at the store still, just buy it at 30% off and return the one you just bought (make sure to remove the clearance sticker) with the full price receipt. People do that all the time. -

The CVS coupons were for both new and transferred. You might want to check out the discussion on prescription transfers http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=73652&page=3 -

Yep, if you have Sunday's paper, check it. There were 8, yes 8 CVS coupons for New or Transferred prescriptions. I use them at Target and Ralphs (Kroger) to transfer back and forth between the two stores now that they both honor them. There is a whole other discussion in offline hot deals about prescription transfer coupons. Oh, and Target will honor it up to $35 now! It used to be lower. I got one for $30 just Sunday. The gift card was more than my copay. -

Yep. I had an inkling that was the problem. I think I read something elsewhere as well, but didn't have a context until I was trying to print a coupon. Thanks! -

Oh, I keep forgetting to mention. I noticed that some of the basketball goals in sporting goods are 30% off. I know a lot of people buy these for Christmas, so I wanted to mention it. They have the size that are good for younger elementary age (up to maybe 8 or 9) and the full sized ones on sale. -

I thought I would mention that the Color Wonder in the back to school should go on clearance too. A bunch of us missed it when it went clearance in craft supplies. -

Some of them did last year. I got a bunch of the cubes. I think they all did, but can't swear to that. -

Thanks! That one is working. It looks like Target might have gotten the other one shut down. Not sure what happened, but guessing based on other discussions. -

Okay, the link I have for the coupon generator is missing, and I haven't been able to track it down searching the last 2 months of the Target discussion. Can someone just PM me or post it? Sorry to be a pain. -

Had to report back that the boys (4 & 6) and I did our tie-dyed tshirts today. Those kits they have on clearance are cool because you get dye embedded string to tie around the item you are dyeing, so it is a lot easier in the long run. Once you get it all tied up, you wrap it in a rag or towel or paper towel and put the whole thing in warm saltwater to soak 15 minutes. Then rinse and hang up. Much less of a mess than vats of dye and rubber bands or wax. Everyone is quite pleased with the results. 1 kit was enough to easily do one adult and one child's tshirt. -

No, not true anymore. Mattel added a large number of new ones to the list this week. There are a large number of items that I bought during the January/February clearance sale that were not recalled with the ones you reference. Also, if anyone has a Disney Cars Sarge, he was the only one recalled. The stores have had to pull the whole Cars line because they share a single UPC, so there is no way to differentiate at checkout to know that they are not selling the recalled item. A TRU guy was telling me that was the reason they pulled everything off the floor. -

I'd certainly at least do a write up like a mystery shop and send it via the customer service email on the website. I have done that with good results sometimes. You probably got his name or can at least do a good description (those mystery shopping skills come in handy sometimes). -

When you try to ring out with them, they come up as recalled, so they won't actually sell them. At least at the major retailers, that is true. It has happened to me more than once. -

anyone on the list in Carlsbad, CA? I am going on vacation for a week down that way, and I was wondering if the store on 78 (I think that is the right road number) is any good? -

All goes to the manufacturer. No, my understanding is that they just may not give you full value. But you can call to ask. Check their website. -

That's right. If 2 magnets are swallowed (or probably something metallic), they can come together inside and cause a perforation. Very ugly business. This is the same reason for the Batman (soft action figures) and Magnetix recalls. If you have small children, many of the Littlest Pet Shop toys also contain magnets. It isn't ALL Polly Pockets, though, so be sure to check and see which ones contain magnets. Some don't at all. -

Oh, trust me and don't be so sad. If you are able to return almost all the pieces, you will get vouchers for close to the original retail value for each set. I ended up doing better last time because I had several sets set back on the gift shelf and returned them last time. I got full retail value vouchers, which was 4 times what I paid for them. They had an expiration date on them that was about 3 months out, and I was able to use them on other clearance items that I wanted then, so I ended up stretching the value of my dollars in the long run!! Last year I got 48 marker sets for something like $.40 and Post It Note cubes (I have a dispenser near the phone) for $.70. I also got a bunch of stickers for DS' teacher to use in class and several spare pairs of scissors to have around the house and garage for like $.75 each. I still have a bag with extra colored pencils and all that stuff at give away prices. Basically look at all the stuff that hasn't been a part of those crazy specials. I don't even need that stuff because DS' school actually provides all the paper, pens, pencils, scissors, glue and stuff that they use. I haven't figured out who pays for it, but I think they got some kind of amazing grant from some corporation. It is nice, though, not to have to go buy it all! -

Okay my bargain hunting friends, if you bought Polly Pocket toys on clearance either recently or in the Christmas clearance (or if you paid regular price, for that matter), be sure to check the Mattel website. They just added a TON to the recall list. We have a LOT of the stuff on the list. Not fun. -

Oh yes! I am STILL using tape an pens from last year's school supply clearance! It won't be long now till they start. They need to move it all so they can put Halloween costumes, etc. in that spot. They started at 30% last year. I bought at 75% and still got a lot. I bought those huge marker sets last year and donated them at Christmas to one of the toy drives. I remember ALWAYS wanting markers and paper when I was a kid, and never getting many. -

Just got back from Target, and they marked a number of items in the kids crafts section. Some fun kits as well as a large Color Wonder set. Speaking of Color Wonder, I don't know if others have noticed, but there is a Color Wonder set in a zipper bag for $9.99 in the school supplies. I suspect that it will clearance with the school supplies, so you might be able to get a good deal on it. -

Found a tub of Lego Duplo blocks in a go back cart for $3.24! Yeah! I hope everyone got the $1 off coupon for MM juice packs in Sunday's paper! That'll make 2 packs nearly free next time I find them. I just happened to go to Starbucks for a while yesterday as DH gave me a break from our delightful but exhausting children, and I got 2 more from the papers people left laying around. :) -
Just an FYI, when you have that problem of not being able to print twice, just clear your cookies out in the browser preferences. They are just setting a cookie to stop it. I was able to print 4 without a problem doing this.

You got a real deal on the Thomas Lounger as that is new merchandise that has just arrived. I got a similar deal on a Breyer Stabelmates Academy barn. $4.96 instead of the $19.99 I saw it for later at another store. -

For those of you looking for this item, at least 2 of the stores I have been in have had them up high on those shelves over the top of the games. They are marked 75% off, but you have to get help getting them down. I also noticed several other larger items up there on clearance including some basketball hoops (for little kids, but bigger than the Little Tykes kind), and some battery operated ride on toys like the Spiderman motorcycle and some other motorcycle. I also saw some of those kid chairs they had on sale up there. So, be sure to look high if you are trying to find some of the big stuff!
