  1. Great Fun is Trilegiant - and this is exactly how they work. They are legit, but make money because forget/don't bother to cancel. Much like the way manufacturers can sell products for less than cost via rebates. Too many people don't read the terms they are agreeing to then complaint about "unauthorized" charges that the company can and will go back and show you authorized. I have taken advantage of some of thier offers, and while they can be insistent I've never had one be rude when calling to cancel. Realize though they are scripted to try to get you to not cancel. You have to say no 3 or 4 times IIRC Some other Trulegiant names:Auto Vantage, Buyers Advantage, CompleteHome, Clever Clubhouse, Digital ProtectionPlus, Great Fun, Great Options, HealthSaver, Hot-Line, IdentitySecure, Just for Me, National Card Registry, Netmarket.com, Pet Privileges, PrivacyGuard, Shoppers Advantage, Small Business Central, Travelers Advantage, and others.
  2. There's a contest to win these going on right now too. DTV/Tivo has been advertising it. http://www.logitech.com/remote
  3. Have you ever seen linspire? As the old urban lengend of tech support goes: If you can't figure out how to use it, pack the thing back in the box and return it, you shouldn't have a computer. And considering the cost of a Windows license did you expect it to come with one? But then some people have to have something to complain about.
  4. Airfares are funny... too early and you get standard rates. Too late and you get the royally (deleted) rate, except through some last minute deals they run to fill planes. There's a specific window that the best rates with guaranteed seating occur.
  5. airtran runs a lot of specials to orlando - they they just had one (or are having one now maybe). Get on the email list for notifications. with those dates you should have plenty of time. Sorry it just expired... and wasn't good for that far off. Orlando was $59 to $149 each way...
  6. My thoughts... decent basic, kids, or 2nd computer for the money. Add a monitor and go... http://www.outpost.com/entry?site=op:mfe012006&sku=4568777 http://image.ak.outpost.com/art/product/big_shots/4568777.big.jpg
  7. I usually get notified the day before... late in the day
  8. Thanks... I'll be checking this out when going to pick up a couple of HP inkjet carts that they're advertising.
  9. Be careful with kabloom, ftd, and 1800flowers websites. Depending on the link that takes you there the price can change. Sometimes you can find a link that gives you a better deal than a coupon code... or once in a blue moon you can find that link PLUS be able to use a coupon code with the site.
  10. Tried to get one for Mrs Labgeek but...
  11. Download and save that form... I know I read through the one off pricegrabber. I'm sure it didn't say officedepot at the time I posted it.
  12. See OP New code added "SAVE2006", expired codes removed. MYXMAS... codes are supposed to be expired but still appear to be working.
  13. What's the best deal on one of those 16x20 prints. I saw an old post for a free one (pay shipping)... anything out there like that now??
  14. I figured it would be from your description of it. It just wouldn't work for me (Acrobat Reader's funky sometimes). I thought others could use a backup link just in case.
  15. I got a blank page for the rebate form (after searching walmart for the ml-2010)... But I did find it at: (removed - it now says it's not good at OD - I'm almost positive it wasn't like that before - I looked for that exclusion... hmm) BTW, that's a pretty sweet price. Thanks
  16. Go here... http://www.craigslist.com to find the nearest city.
  17. Cincinnati has a local craigslist... (link above after I edited the post) Also added the 2 local freecycles (both pretty large @ almost 2K and over 4500 members).
  18. Think that's going to be location specific. First thing I'd start looking is craiglist for your city - http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ or check out the local freecycle - Cincinnati_Freecycle-4664 members US:Ohio:Cincinnati (inside city limits) or CinciEast-1939 members US:Ohio:Cincinnati (Eastern Suburbs) . BTW, this probably should have gone under "Deal Finder Service"
  19. Wal-Mart near my house had them sitting on the shelf the other day.
  20. Geez... .02 TOTAL weight. Looks like 12 "stones" (is it legal to call them stones at this weight?) PER earing or 24 total. 0.02 / 24 = 0.00083 carats per stone. Can you even see that? I don't mean to thread-cr@p but just want people to be aware of what these are likely to look like when they get them. All that "sparkle" you're seeing is silver not diamond. I can't even make out a diamond in the photo.
