  1. Anandtech There's a frequent user there with the same spelling even. Some of us here came from there. RossMAN is a regular there too.
  2. Better than what they're going for on ebay... $170 on the 6GB micro. PS. Tami from AT??
  3. Pretty nice, but no flights out of Richmond or Newport News (ya right). Dulles is the closest and a few hours away.
  4. If you haven't caught on to the pattern by now... it's www.(yourstatename)gasprices.com
  5. The goverment actually has a useful website... links to gas prices by state. The OP was just the CA page for this site. The other states are here: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/gasprices/states/index.shtml
  6. I've never seen one... Let us know if you find something. Think you'd become a hero around here.
  7. Yep... but if you didn't want to eat all that food, you could send off for free pieces. I did... So far I've bought: 139.99 power supply for .99 39.99 (on sale) speakers for .99 $159.99 Antec P180 case for 39.99 + ship + tax (only use 40x McBucks @ $1 or $3 each online) And have $129 in McBucks left. BTW, it's over now. ended 10/31. Free food pieces expire on 11/15, and McBucks expire 12/3. You got McBucks and 2 monopoly pieces for: Large Fries, an Chicken sandwiches You got 2 monopoly pieces (no McBucks) for: med or large drink, hash browns, chicken selects (fingers) McBucks were either $1 or $3 each. 1 out of 3 were supposed to be $3. My ratio was better than that at almost 45% being $3. Some were "double dipping" spend the McBucks online (you enter the code), and then take them to the store. It's against the rules... Plus you ended up with a bunch of free food pieces... Med fries, sm drink, small mcflurry, breakfast sandwich, large burger, or breakfast value meal. Heck, I gave most of them away, and still have some left.
  8. I'mm have to look into this when I get home (can't use the locator function as .EXE is blocked from work). Unless someone would like to put in 23061 and 23602 and see if there are any nearby work and home. Thanks
  9. Man I didn't know that site existed. We've been looking for another set like we have, but it was bought on sale, and never saw them in the store after that. Now if I can remeber the name...
  10. If you want to drive over to VA, I've got a Samsung 25 cu ft side by side, I'm eating a $1000 loss on... It won't fit in the hole where it's supposed to go. It's less than 3 years old, steel look, water/ice through the door, digital panel on the front to control it, and twin evaporator system keeping the setting for the fridge separate from the freezer. Asking $500, paid > $1500 Feb 2003 with tax, delivery, etc. Make sure you check out Sams. You can sometimes find deals there. I bought a small one for a trailer a while back, and paid $129. By small one, I mean it's about the 18 to 20cu ft mark, not the dorm sized ones.
  11. Bought a ****load (I typed the *s) right after last Christmas and a storage thing for them to go in. I don't think we'll be buying more paper this year. Well maybe after Christmas we will again. No themes or anything like that, just what we thought looked nice.
  12. I haven't gone over it yet, but I just got a letter about a Netflix class action settlement. I think I get another free month or something if I sign back up. Glancing over the letter it struck me again how the winners in class action suits always seems to be the lawyers not the "class".
  13. I thought the newest was Half Life 2 (which is what you linked to), which is bundled with Counter Strike - Source. I've never heard of "half life source" before... but I'm not a gamer.
  14. Probably going to be a few people signing up for the BB Reward Zone just because of this. Walmart has already said they won't be taking any more orders online for it for a while. Link to Join Reward Zone for Free coupon thread
  15. Well I ebay'ed and and got my money back... As to the above about the laptop taking over, I wondered about that too. Unless they are port forwarding so they can get to a specific machine from outside. But then it just sounds like they'd need to setup a static IP or commit an DHCP address to a specific MAC address.
  16. So can you save person spot's like "Rob & Tammy's House", "Rob's Work", "Grocery store", that she can select from and it'll tell her how to get there.... $400 is a doable, a little more than I hoped but not out of the question.
  17. My mother has moved up here by us. She's having a very hard time getting accustomed to the new city. What I'd like to find for a Christmas present for her is a car mounted GPS (she'd just forget a handheld one at home) that we could set various destinations in and it would talk her through getting there. You know a "turn left 500 feet" type deal.
  18. i got mine... Unfortunately it's the new V5... It does NOT run Linux, and cannot use any of the 3rd party firmware. It'll be sold off, traded, or something - it's of no use to me.
  19. It was supposed to have ended yesterday (10/30), but appears to still be working.
  20. Can I make a suggestion... Add the ability to add feedback to the website... There was a problem here this weekend when a person was told soemthing along the lines of "when can you come get it" he replied, and never heard back. With the question, he was under the impression he got it. But the OP decided to give it to someone else. Caused some real hard feelings. And then another was told they had it (different item & poster), only to be told a little while later they decided to give it to someone else instead. Hmm, sounds like a new type of website software geared towards this is needed to help manage some of this. I've got extra webspace and program (professionally) but only a small amount of extra time to work on it.
  21. He's lucky that all they did. If they "customers" hadn't been so insistent, loud, obnoxious, and the needle that broke the camel's proverbial back, threatening to sue, I would have just thrown them out. Instead they got a free ride to sherrif's lockup, booked and released on OR until the trial date. Oh and they were barred from the mall from that point on... if they came back it was criminal tresspassing. That mall had it's own security that once you were caught trying to rip one store off, they tried to make sure it didn't happen again or at least made worse if you were caugt a 2nd time.
  22. Change power levels, and QOS (great for VoIP) are two of the biggies IMO.
