  1. This is against ebay and paypal policies... Since ebay has financial interests in seeing paypal do well, they can/will:
  2. I'm looking for a wifi or preferably a network version. The netgear SPH200D is out there, but it's not cheap either.
  3. To check it, I just tried and it worked fine. You might clear cookies and try again.
  4. Should have waited for the next people to walk in and offered to buy them lunch... Also, this code had been posted, but the thread has disappeared.
  5. Amazon did this to me... 2 weeks after a package had been shipped it hadn't shown up. I called they overnighted one to me. A couple days later the original showed up. I called and they said to keep it too. It was a computer game so I gave it to the nephews.
  6. http://www.originalmattress.com/ I have not used them but understand from a neighbor they are very good. They're local to me (well close enough), and they do the custom size we need for an antique bed. We're planning on picking one up after the 1st of the year. If you're in the area, supposedly you can go to the factory and see their mattresses next to the major brands... For example their handles are supposed to hold up to real use (like flipping) where no mattress I've seen did before.
  7. Should've been more than that... http://www.bordersstores.com/spoffers/special_offers.jsp
  8. I've gotten several 30% coupons from them lately in email -- join the Borders Rewards program it's free. And last Tuesday was a 1 day Only 40% off coupon. Also watch here: http://www.bordersstores.com/features/feature.jsp?file=coupons
  9. Do check, but just FYI this is being looked at pretty widespread now. Several states have placed limits on what can/can't be done. State Gift Card Consumer Protection Laws*
  10. The ones I see around here at Food Lion, Radio Shack, Rite-Aid, etc. are Green Dot cards... http://www.greendotcorp.com and they offer reloadable Visa and Mastercards. The problem is it's $9.95 to buy, and $4.95 every reload... I looked at it for presents for younger relatives, but that's a lot of overhead. I think they'd rather I go someplace I know they'd shop and pick up the store's gift card usually with no service charge and place that extra $10 on the gift itself. Call your bank and ask about gift cards... I know Wachovia has them. For $1.95!! But are not reloadable.http://www.wachovia.com/personal/page/0,,11_482_8409,00.html
  11. A couple of things... If you don't want the order held until all items are ready (some always ship separately depending on supplier) you have that option, but be prepared to pay for it. It's an option at checkout. So the free shipping might not be a great idea if you're in a hurry with lots of smaller items. My experience has been it almost never takes as long as it says when using the free shipping which I use often.
  12. I only checked the 3 stores I grace with my presence (TFIC) from time to time: T5212 - In stock in New Orleans, Norfolk and Limited Qtys in Newport News. T5048 - In stock - all three...
  13. While the slightly larger hd (200 vs 160) and more memory (which is easily and cheaply upgraded), the MUCH bigger improvement of that model over the OP is the processor. The 5212 has a Dual Core P4 @ 2.66 vs. the OP's single core at 3.06... BTW, it's also DDR2 vs DDR which is the current trend (read cheaper to upgrade in the long run). Bottom line, IF you have the extra $120 I'd go with the T5212.
  14. No and he was never guaranteed a laptop. I bet the ad doesn't say anything like "be there all night and you're guaranteed a laptop". I think the point was that many others have gone through much worse and did not get what they hoped. That doesn't make it right to defame a company nor hand out personal email addresses to company execs. Both of which just make the OP sound bitter and wanting retaliation. If the OP really thought he had a legal leg to stand on they'd be talking to a lawyer and not complaining on the internet.
  15. Too bad you don't understand what the legal term 'false advertising' aka "truth in advertising" means... I'll bet that there was a disclaimer or two on the ad (there always is) about limit stock availability. And since they did not offer something else it's not bait and switch either. Sorry you stood in line for an hour for nothing, but geez threats of "false advertising", come on...
  16. I used to manage a toystore in a mall back in my college says... BF was NEVER the busiest day of the year there. I went through the 10 previous years sales figures to see for myself. The days leading up to Christmas were the busiest requiring 4+ bank drops a day. One required 10. It should have been more but that was all the bags I had.
  17. The Walgreens in Slidell, LA refused to honor the Coke Olympics coupons (5 free 2 liter) stating "they don't accept them" and nothing else. Since then I've not gone back...
  18. Stolen from ATHD: AL2216Wbd 22" Widescreen Digital/Analog LCD Acer branded but VERY similar specs for $299.99 + $17.10 std shipping = $317.09
  19. http://www.mwave.com/mwave/deepsearch.hmx?scriteria=game+clearance&all=y& 62 items from $0.99 to $59 ...
