  1. Hi All -- Hubby really wants/needs a PDA for his new job. Would like something with wifi and other "bells & whistles". Doesn't seem to want a Dell Axium, but a Palm. Any ideas? He wants one now, not for Black Friday or Xmas. :) Thanks in advance!
  2. Thanks! got this, plus a few of the ornaments from the clearance section.:)
  3. Great advice. My dad has Comcast and got what sounds like the same sort of deal that you did shawna 6676. I will be sure to ask for whatever bundle deals they have. Conj, we are moving to Enfield which is the exit just past Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center on I-89. So Upper Valley area. No Verizon DSL but they do have the Comcast and I believe my cell phone works there as well. I *think* that even if we don't have regular landline service that as long as we bring along a phone to plug in for emergencies when cable/power is out we could still dial 911. Anyone know if that is still the case? I'll be happy to see our phone bill less, especially now that we will have lots of call to VT where our families still live (for the most part)!
  4. We are moving to NH from VT and will FINALLY have access to cable and high-speed internet. Would love to know of any good deals you know of that would allow us to save some cash to set up our accounts with Comcast (the condo is already wired for cable) and Vonage. Should we look for a B&M special for Vonage, or do those no longer exist? I did get a coupon from USPS as part of my change of address process for 2 free months of Vonage. Is that a good deal? And lastly, is there a reason for us to have Verizon phone service in the most basic format they offer, just for a back up? Not 100% sure we will have cell reception there. Thanks in advance!
  5. Just purchased a pair of Buster Brown boys sneakers (the black Cars one/Lighnight McQueen and Tow Mater are on them, and they light up). Sale price was under $7.00 with the $5 discount, plus I had them the next day! I was very pleased and will be ordering from them again. Definately check out the sales page for some of the best deals. ETA: I believe they also have free returns! (but double check on that if it is important for you)
  6. Thanks so much for the codes. I got: Product Quantity Price Scribblet (pk of 12) 4 6.00 B.C. Builders® Steamroller 1 3.49 Pop Top Playsets™ Collection (set of 3) 3 2.49 Pirate Costume Pack (set of 2, 1 black + 1 blue) 1 4.50for $43.41 after the $5 off code. Now we have one more great thing for the kids goody bags at our family reunion (plus some leftover for stocking stuffers), halloween/dress up costumes for our 4 year old, and some b-day/holiday gifts for our 2 year old + 2 spares for a 3 year old friend and someone else. The BC Builders toy I probably could have done without, but the boys really like these toys...and we have a few other sets.
  7. great leads! thanks so much -- will check out options and report back if I find something good enough to share! I know the last time we went shopping we found some TREMENDOUS deals for his dress pants at Kohls on the Mens Clearance racks. All name brands, pleated and cuffed, for $4-8 each...we got 5 or 6 pairs I think!
  8. DH is looking for deals on new button-down dress shirts. He wears them everyday at work, long sleeve is his preference. My preference is that they are wrinkle (and anything else!) resistent! LOL Any good deals out there now? We can sometimes find a sale at JC Penneys, but haven't had a chance to travel to a store recently (closest one is an hour away, so we don't get the flyer). Thanks!
  9. Is anyone aware of any current American Girl online discount codes? My daughter just turned 7, and would like one of the dolls for her "big gift". We are looking to place the order this weekend. Thanks!
  10. Got a mailer in my name and one in my hubbys name from LB today. Both had 2 of the discount cards ($25 off $75), valid on clearance items and online. No $15 off $15 here.
  11. Good points! Think I may wait it out and use Open Office/Office 2007 Free Trial to start with and see how the pricing is when the new version is released... In the mean time, if anyone notices drops in MS Publisher (stand alone), Quicken 2007, or MS Office 2003 please post here!
  12. Before I add these programs into my Dell purchase, I wondered if anyone knew of deals available for MS Office Small Business (including Publisher and Powerpoint)? I know about Open Office, but really need to include Publisher for work as well. No need for Access. I know that Office 2007 is coming out soon too, but I am not sure if I will be needing the new version immediately, as others I do business with may not have it yet! I work for a non-profit, but we do not have our own tax ID # as we work under a fiscal agent. I also teach at a college, so could qualify for Student/Teacher version...but again, I need Publisher. The other program I am looking for is Quicken 2007. I know there are commonly rebates available on this type of personal finance software, and I have used it before. What do they usually need you to provide to show you are a past customer that is upgrading? And is that still valid if I need to install into this new computer. Thanks in advance for your help!
  13. btt to see if anyone has ideas for me! LOL
  14. I am in the market for a new desktop system, pref. with Dell so I can use my Dell Preferred Account instead of another credit card over the holidays. Any codes, coupons or special offers out there now? I've seen a few that have been for laptops, but I am looking for a desktop to replace my current one. I will be using it for work and for digital photos/scrapbooking, but not really gaming. Need to run Office programs (or Open Office...), be able to multi-task with several open windows at once (my dh's pet peeve of mine!), and be in the budget of $1000-$1200 TOPS -- would love to spend less if possible. My flat screen monitor still works, but I was thinking of setting up this current (older) computer for the kids to play pre-school/elem. school games on, simple digi camera stuff for dd7, etc. Would it be better if I waited until after Christmas? Any advice is appreciated.
  15. I also got an email that my order for this was cancelled and my card would not be charged....grrrr....
  16. Price matched the Little Mermaid and Weeblos Castle at WM on Saturday afternoon while we were at Walmart for other things. No problems, saved $25, and most importantly -- was able to stay out of TRU! lol
  17. is there a limit to how many coupons you can use per purchase? do they have flyers on hand at the stores? we are not in a rite-aid town...but i'm helping at a family gift program this weekend and this would really come in handy. thanks!
  18. Buy.com has this one that is $56.98 shipped after google checkout and $10 rebate. I think this is the one for DD (7). We got her a cheap one at TRU last Xmas and it was a total bomb. This year she asked for "a camera that doesn't speak Japanese"! LOL Here's the link: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202738504 Argus DC5340 5.0 Megapixel Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom - DC-5340 Features: 2.0 LTPS LCD Display 3X Optical Zoom 4X Digital Zoom 16MB NAND Flash Internal Memory PictBridge compatible SD Storage Card Slot Auto Flash with Red-Eye Reduction USB Download Photo editing software
  19. Free shipping on orders over $88 -- use code SHIP88
  20. I don't have the ad flyer right here in front of me...but I think it is on sale at TRU starting today (12/3).
  21. Other than store-specific web sites, are their any web sites that I can put the kids lists on to share with everyone (and ask that they update to avoid me buying the same things?!?) The 2 oldest kids (almost 7 and 4) went thru sales flyers, catalogs, etc and cut out pictures of items on their wish lists and pasted to scrap paper. I've been asked by others in the family about what to get them, so now am I retyping things too many times. LOL My kids aren't old enough to get online by themselves, so updates can be done without problems. Thanks!
  22. I've made up movie themed baskets which have been hits -- included either a Blockbuster card, video rental booklet from grocery store or Netflix gift subscription with some microwave popcorn and some boxes of candy (like at the theatre) from the $ store. If you are crafty, you could alter a new gallon size paint can to use as the "basket". Do an online search for directions, or PM me for more info on how to do this...it's pretty simple once you have measurements/template, and it's a great way to use up scrapbooking/crafting odds and ends. You can decorate the paint cans to use for so many different things (wine, snacks, pasta, sports, school, etc). Have fun!
  23. Ditto to the above suggestions, plus I would add: * Playmobil sets (my DS turned 4 a few weeks ago and got a Knight set that he can't put down!) * Lego kits that can be used to build cars, spaceships, sports scenes * "spy" gadgets and gear HTH - good luck.
  24. Grandparents just picked up vsmile for the 2 older kids gifts...they were worried that it could only be used with one controller. I was thinking that they must be packaged with just one controller and you can purchase a 2nd one if needed. Am I correct? Are all games single/double player? We have DD (almost 7) and DS 4 that this will be for. And you know if they don't get an equal chance to play we will surely hear about it! LOL Also, any more deals on additional games -- or tips on which games your families have enjoyed? Thanks!
  25. Woo hoo! I am in VT and the kids will get a kick out of these treats. Will stop by McDs today to check on availability in northern VT. Thanks so much for the tip!
