  1. Thanks for the note -- I hadn't purchased it, just saw the "mark down". Would have noticed the 3rd party seller at check out when i couldn't use prime. Sorry! Will edit my earlier post.
  2. Trivial Pursuit Digital Choice $5.99 (was $49.99) Save 88% *** Edited to add: Please be aware that this is sold from a 3rd party and does not qualify for Amazon Prime or Free Super Saver Shipping. Thanks! ***
  3. Great ideas...but I am still on the hunt for these. No pawn shops local and GameStop in my area has stopped buying used music accessories for some reason. So no used guitars, drums, mikes. He tried to sell me a whole new Band Hero set. Ummmm, no. If I am looking for some reasonable game accessories I really am not interested in dropping $200 on Christmas Eve. Bonus points for trying though! LOL
  4. Ahhh....just ordered with "VALUE" for free shipping as I hadn't refreshed this thread to see the TRYAGAIN coupon. Oh well.
  5. OK, I picked up this Wii game yesterday at Target (on sale for $40 instead of $50)...but I'm thinking that I will also need some music themed controllers. Ugh. Are there any deals out there for them? Guitar and microphone at least? We can add another guitar and drums later. But at least something to get started. We've only had the Wii since Sunday (it was a gift from grandparents) so I'm a total newbie. And as it is so close to Christmas, I'm thinking I should be looking to buy at brick and mortar store that is local (Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, GameStop, JC Penny, Kohls, Hollywood Video, CVS, Walgreens, BJs). Any ideas on what I should look for, and where I might be able to find a deal? Thanks so much!
  6. So, I wanted to update and say that I didn't pick up either one of these cameras as of yet...have been thinking of pulling the trigger on the Sears one that I can pick up at the store mentioned in this thread (although I am too late for the $1 off). Worth it? http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=163129&highlight=sears+camera
  7. Have the following 2 items in my cart (1 is a lightning deal!) and wondered what you all thought was the better camera, as the pricing is about the same...it is for my in-laws, and they have no digital camera experience and not a lot of tech knowledge, so it must be easy and intuitive. Thanks for your help! Fujifilm FinePix Z30 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD (Whirl White) - FUJIFILM Special Price: $79.99 (save 47%) ===OR=== Nikon Coolpix L20 10MP Digital Camera with 3.6 Optical Zoom and 3 inch LCD (Deep Red) - Nikon $81.46
  8. Bakugan Bakurack - Silver with Red Clips List Price: $19.99 Price: $4.99 & eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime You Save: $15.00 (75%) They also have Blue with Green Clips
  9. No Target near me, and couldn't get to Kmart today...bummer. Tried to order via Amazon with the code mentioned in this thread and unfortunately it came up as expired. Will wait to see if there are more markdowns or sales on these to take advantage of for DD4.
  10. BTT -- Any ideas? Would like to get one as well. Should this be something I just try to find around BF? Thanks!
  11. I'd love to hear about this as well. Nintendogs and a few others are on daughter's list. Thanks!
  12. I volunteer with the March of Dimes, and we just got done a preemie clothing collection in honor of prematurity awareness month (November). Here's the resource list: RESOURCE LIST Websites with free patterns in sewing, knitting and crocheting formats. http://www.touchinglittlelives.org/ http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/baby.html http://www.newbornsinneed.org/html/baby_patterns.html http://www.carewear.org/index.cfm?pid=patterns/_patterns.cfm SIZE CHART http://www.touchinglittlelives.org/size.html ON-LINE SOURCES OF PREEMIE CLOTHES Here are a few websites to look at (there are probably many more!) http://www.nurtureplace.com/ http://www.preemietees.com/ http://www.preemie.com/ LOCAL STORES CARRYING PREEMIE ITEMS We have found that more and more local stores are carrying preemie items. Here are just a few that we’ve come across: Zutano, Walmart, Carters Outlet, Gymboree. My oldest was a preemie (just barely 32 weeks). I'll keep your sister and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
  13. Showing up as $69.99 now. Bummer.
  14. I got the $10 off $25 coupon in the mail too. I have a $30 JCP gift card to use at some point as well...:)
  15. Bummer! I tried to add the $10 giftcard for $5 when it showed up, but then I had checkout problems and couldn't use the MOOSE code for free shipping. The free shipping was more $ off than the $5 discount on the giftcard so I just removed the cards from both orders. Ugh, those would have been nice stocking stuffers. Oh well!
  16. Thanks for this! Just placed 2 orders. And FYI, as long as you add in Hal and Holly on their own, the book seems to be added in (along with discount) automatically even without buying the expensive outfits. I did one set as PP did (thanks!) and then the 2nd with some little accessories, etc for a bday gift. Total after discounts was $30.50! Yeah! 18. It's been fun reading through everyone's shopping trips. I got back from my sister's house in MA just before midnight, spent time making my lists with the local flyers (had already purchased a paper in MA at CVS when picking up a few free items, plus my research here so I was just confirming the deals I had planned to check on). Stayed up, contemplated pulling all-nighter, then promptly fell asleep. Needless to say, I ended up sleeping in and didn't end up showering until about 9 AM! Out at stores shortly after ten AM. K-Mart -- will likely go back tonight for a few things that were weekend sale, too busy: 9 sets of legos (B2G1F) -- 3 each at 29.99/19.99/9.99 price points (including advent calendars) Nintendo DS bundle in Blue Ice with Brain Age ($149) and $25 coupon to use in December for a game DD8 wants Kohls -- very busy, and easily the longest time in line...nearly an hour!: Griddle ($9.99 after rebate) Fondue Set ($9.99 after rebate) digital video camera set ($99.99 for my mom that was watching the kids in MA!) big jar candle $3.99 ladies cashmere socks $4.99 curious george $5 kohls cares for kids stuffed animal 2 boxed 2009 calendars $6.49 each - 15% discount coupon (saved add'l $24.29), plus earned $20 kohls cash (should have grabbed a few more calendars to get another $10 in kohls cash, i was only $7.xx away!) Famous Footwear: 3 pairs of shoes for me 3 pairs of shoes for the kids * used a 20% off coupon and they had the B1G1 50% off sale, so it totalled only $65.xx! Walgreens: 6 of the Lil Webkinz B1G1F mgr special - chase & sanborn instant coffee $0.99 (x2) mgr special - crayolya 64 pk crayons $0.99 instead of normal $5.99 (x2) -- for girl scout troop Radio Shack -- very helpful, even though I was there late to pick up these few items: 2 pk wind up LED flashlights (x2) $9.99 each noise canceling headphones (x2) $9.99 each Walmart -- surprised to find most items I wanted that late in the day (around 3 pm): multiple $4 items (PJs, hoodies, fleece PJ pants, track suits, clogs, slippers) Kung Fu Panda DVD $9 several $2 DVDs (spiderman 1, drumline, tenacious D, syriana) $6 movies (nite at the museum, superbad) V-smile pocket $25 HSM dolls $5 (x3) hot wheels cars 10 pk $5 deluxe monopoly game $10 cars mack truck $10 LEI jeans $8 *missed out on Kmart Easy Bake oven for $15, none of the DS games that were on our list were discounted so I waited, but overall I did pretty well. I wanted to buy the 42" HDTV Dell had online, but DH wanted to wait a bit longer. Also some $5 album downloads from Amazon. Have a great deal of shopping done, will now have to use my normal last minute shopping time for wretched house cleaning and entertaining! LOL
  19. Does anyone know when this code will expire? Thanks!
  20. I picked up the cheap and FAR deals yesterday, and wanted to mention a BONUS 1 cent item I found (not advertised in my flyer). In addition to the Dixon 8 pk of pencils (plastic wrapper) for 1 cent, our local store also had Dixon ORIOLE 12 pk of pencils (cardboard box) for 1 cent (limit 2). So there's a way to get 40 pencils (two 8-pks + two 12-pks) for 4 whole cents!!!
  21. Does anyone know when these offers will be ending?
  22. If you work in the area of the part, or know anyone who does, they may also be able to get discounted tickets via their HR dept. We are considered a trip to the Six Flags in Springfield, MA and my sister and her fiancee (they live in Shrewsbury, MA) both said they can get discounted tickets through their workplace. Just another thing to consider! And I think they also offer online discounts? It was $29.99/ticket online when I looked a week or so ago. Good luck and have fun! PS: I think the Entertainment Book may also have coupons...but my book is in the car so I'll update in a few minutes after checking!
  23. I've used Wallies for altered composition books, like this one using the Ballerina ones ($2 on clearance now!), patterned paper, and rub ons. <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/Danielle.B.Thompson/ScrapbookPapercraftingPortfolio/photo#4995987227901952018"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/Danielle.B.Thompson/RVVP6fV8ABI/AAAAAAAAANg/2-b8MPOpUAM/s144/ballerina%20journal%20front.JPG" /></a> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/Danielle.B.Thompson/ScrapbookPapercraftingPortfolio/photo#4995987301105598482"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/Danielle.B.Thompson/RVVP-wDDABI/AAAAAAAAANo/pBve-qJxwic/s144/ballerina%20journal%20back.JPG" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/Danielle.B.Thompson/ScrapbookPapercraftingPortfolio">Scrapbook & P...</a></td></tr></table>
  24. I did a quick search using ShopSmart and didn't get any hits...sorry if I missed a prior post about this! I picked up the June/July 2008 issue of ShopSmart magazine (it's in the Consumer Reports family) yesterday and noticed that on page 7 one of the reader tips mentioned GottaDeal as a way to shop smarter! Check out freebie forums. "I use shopping forums like Gottadeal.com to find deals. I have gotten all sorts of things, mostly sample sizes: cereal, detergent and softener, hair-care samples. I also got a free coffeemaker plus the coffee pods to go with it!" --Jennifer Stover, Greensboro, NC
  25. I'd be interested to know this as well...now that we have the new house, DH is hinting around for a 40" HDTV LCD 1080i. Preferably at Sears so I can use the card.
