Picked mine up this am and the young woman asked if they had been on sale or something. So I told her and she goes "so that's why there are so many orders for them in the basket." I looked behind her and there were at least 3 or 4 more orders of multiple drives in the basket.

Last year is the first year in about 4 years that mine got mailed. Had the boys pictures professionally done and I guess I felt like I had to get them out the door! That's why I haven't made up my mind about the holiday exchange. Don't want to commit until I'm sure I will feel up to it (they say when I get my cpap equipment I will see a difference...)

I tried these last year and didn't like them except I think the caramel. The boys ended up adding them to hot chocolate and were quite content though. It made the hot chocolate more special....

We used to buy for all the adults until a few years ago I suggested drawing names among the adults (we only have a few kids) and another family member asked why we needed to get any adult anything and so we decided as a group not to buy presents for the adults ( I tend to get the 2 moms things anyway and sometimes I see something for my brothers during the year that I pick up). Everyone has been fine with it. We get together for Chinese on Christmas Day and then come back to someone's house (usually mine if it's just the immediate family) and have traditional desserts and coffee later in the afternoon. The kids show off their loot and we swap tales and watch Christmas movies.

I ordered mine online for instore pickup and have my confirmation from the store, so I'd better not have any problems....My Best Buy is usually pretty good though. Sorry they wouldn't take care of you. That stinks.

Keep watching Walmart and Target for the Bakugan. Our Walmart had a decent selection this weekend and as usual, ds 11 hit me up for an advance on his allowance!

Kind of like some of the churches do to send out to the mission field. That would be great!

We like to drive around and look at the lights, well I like to and my mil can't drive at night anymore and loves the lights, so we usually go to dinner and then drive around and look at the lights. The last few years, my ds11 has wanted to bake fresh cookies for Santa on Christmas eve and frost them (yum for me later...). We leave Santa a note where to find the milk or other beverage of his choice, 'cuz Santa doesn't like warm milk....

The only thing so far on both boys lists (14 and 11) are laptops. My budget probably won't stretch to that this year so I hope they start adding some other things. They know it's been a tough year so they probably will....

I should start mine this week, but I haven't taken the picture to go inside the photo blanks I got on clearance and I never got out last year to find any I liked of the others on clearance (I am a picky card giver!)

Someone on here last year put their stuff in the canoe that was hanging in the garage. Get creative! We have faith that you can outsmart the 9 yr old!!!

This is a big reason that we started going out for Christmas and then it's morphed to Thanksgiving. My in-laws don't get it, but I'd rather keep things simple and they lean to the elaborate. My sil has never been around young children and when the boys were little, I would be a nervous wreck by the time we left their house and didn't enjoy Thanksgiving at all. So for Christmas we stopped doing anything fancy, one year we had a meat platter and different sandwich breads and gradually my side of the family decided that we enjoyed not cooking and spending the afternoon talking (usually have some desserts at the house).

We've gone to GOlden Corral for the past 2 years and went to Cracker Barrel one evening with some unexpected company...Our favorite CHinese restaurant is also open and for both THanksgiving and Christmas they do a turkey along with the regular chinese dishes (it's a buffet or you can order off a menu). Some of the bigger hotels offer buffets as well, but they are kind of pricey and my kids like chinese or the corral.

I should win this shirt because it's Monday, my paycheck went to feeding two growing sons, and I really need a good looking T-shirt for standing outside for who knows how long to fulfill their Christmas wish lists!

Kmarts are the pits here, haven't been back since before last CHristmas, nothing advertised was even in the store, don't know why they are still open! Dirty stores and then the rude employees, make even the dirtiest Walmart look fantastic.

Either my BIL or Golden Corral, depends on how dh feels. If he's hurting we don't make the drive (about 45 minutes in light traffic, more if heavy) to his brother's house.

Christmas dinner at the Chinese Restaurant again! It was yummy and nobody had to cook (well in my family anyway) or do dishes. We did Easter there this year too! Come to think of it, we did my ds11's bday there also..... I think we like chinese food.
