Head over Heels with Freddie Prinze Jr, its an oldie but it's so funny! It's a romance but dh laughed so hard that I had to take his drink away. We gave it to my brothers a couple of years ago.

Yes, HH Gregg has just come into the Jacksonville market recently. Funny thing is, Most of our circuit city stores are staying open, and so far I haven't been impressed by HH Gregg.....

The Ornamental Fairy delivered my ornaments today. I have them on the tree still with their tags (didn't want them to get broken with all the clutter I have going on today...). I got a beautiful purple bird that clips to the tree, a fantastic flamingo which adds to my collection for my future flamingo tree! (the purple bird will still adorn that one too) and a shopper with the year and gottadeal ornament exchange on it so I will always be able to remember. I was home sick today so it was a great lift to my spirits!!! THank you ornament fairy!:)

Your school system needs to rethink that policy. I don't mean to let teachers send home huge lists of "demands" (I have seen some of those too) but some of us can't volunteer time even though we would love to (I taught for a couple of years and was at work at the same time as my child's school hours...) but we love to help out in other ways, I've sent treats for the treasure box, a ton of cute pencils over the years, candy for treat bags. A lot of times I didn't wait for the teacher to express the need. I just found something cute and sent it with a note to use it at her/his discretion. I miss those days now, mine are in middle and high school and although I still send kleenex etc, I still eye the cute Christmas pencils each time I go in the store.

Ok, I'm a first timer and I did put someone elses return address but I feel guilty cuz mine isn't as fancy as some of the others...

I never expected my sons teachers to provide gifts for the children. I often bought some of the stuff in those gift bags and so did other parents in the classrooms. Our teachers sent home wish lists for those types of items.

I think this is the way it's worked out in our house. I believed longer than most children (of course it worked out well for my parents that my Dad dressed in his Santa suit to put our stuff out and I got up one night (late) for a drink of water when I was 4 or 5 and saw him down the hall in the living room).. I got into verbal fights at school over the issue. When my kids asked, I asked them what they thought and until the day they expressed doubt to me I didn't contradict what they wanted although we discussed the origins of Santa and the birth of Christ. But I always say if you don't believe, you don't receive (which works well in regards to God's bounty as well...)

It wasn't mine as I got yours yesterday. Some of mine are mailed but we have to hit a stop for more stamps this week....

I agree but I bet the lawyers are already talking to the family of the employee...People don't take responsibility for their own actions anymore (okay some of us do, but we seem to have abandoned any concept of right and wrong). There is a sense of entitlement that I don't understand and have tried to keep my children from following in.

I got 3 more cards today too! Mine are ready to mail except for the stamps, maybe tonight I will get the boys to sit and help me while they watch tv...

Have not left the house yet, ordered clothes online from Kohls, only frustration is that while I was still finding the last thing I wanted, my cart timed out from inactivity and I had to start over again, grrr. But I think I still did better the 2nd time anyway.... May stop by Walgreens while I go to feed my moms cats this am.
-
I didn't get a paper at all today. The kohls ad came in the mail yesterday and the cvs ad the day before. Those were the 2 main ads I wanted....
-
I passed also. I was curious but not curious enough to spend the money...

My walmart employees are friendly enough, they just don't get trained in product areas. SO the person working in automotive might not know where the oil goes in the car or what the weights of the oils mean.... And while the young woman in the electronics area is willing to get whatever game you want out of the cabinet and can ring it up, don't ask her if its a good game or if she has a better suggestion. -
2-- 1 for someone special here and 1 for my nephew overseas.

Bob Rivers-- he's my hero! I have 4 of the holiday ones (that's 4 cd's). WOre out the first cassette that came out back in the 80's (I worked retail then so I fell in love with Wreck the Malls).
