What kind of gift card can you use? Also pm your address if you want to do this so I can get it out to you and I'll send you mine....
-
I'd be interested but not until payday (the 2nd ). I don't have any giftcards but if you tell me what works I can get one. Let me know and pm your mailing address. If I could I'd just come get it (I'm having travel withdrawel this morning-- my last trip abroad was in 2003).

"Some" Assemble Required. My Rant! Add yours if you like.
mgmckny replied to Scanner420's topic in 2008
No assembly required for us either--but I remember when..... We also learned our lesson from Jeff's dad's stories of Christmas morning.... Jeff's dad and best friend assembled a full size teeter-totter type toy in their living room during the night on Christmas Eve from Santa and then when they needed to move it outside the next morning, it wouldn't go through the sliding glass doors, they had to completely dissasemble it again and rebuild it outside again. Knowing that story we tried to get easy to assemble items or paid for assembly! LOL. -
This would be great for gift cards too!

Yea, me too! Guess Santa will be drinking something else...

I had a great time doing this. I love my ornaments that I received, and I thank Eve for putting this together for us! Happy Christmas!

My sanity. I'm still looking.

Ok, I forgot about the year that my brother gave my husband and I each a blank video tape. I know it's about the thought but he was making decent money at the time. For several years in a row, the whole family got flashlights from radio shack ( the ones that were free with a purchase). He's actually improved over the last few years...

What state is everyone from? What is the weather like?
mgmckny replied to casey49781's topic in 2008
We had a cool down last night, this am is in the 30's with brisk winds to make it feel like we're up north.... Highs maybe in the 60s but will feel cooler. They say it won't last until Christmas though. Happy Florida! -
We won't count the attempts at clothes my husband has made, he did try. But the year we bought the house (our second Christmas married), he bought me a ceiling fan and a double boiler. I had admired the fan when we were first buying the house as it matched our fireplace (never said I wanted one, in those days I was always cold). And I had made a cookie that year that used a double boiler and I had to improvise. My mil finally quit buying me clothes after I had to return all of them as they didn't fit or were vests that I would never wear.

Yea, I know, but it is interesting to go to the beach and build a sandman on Christmas Day! -

Ne Florida, upper 70s and 80s-- actually should only be in the 60's this time of year.... -
Ditto! I feel like a Grinch as I have done no candy or really any cookies (my kids have done some and promptly eaten them all!). I think Santa is going to be stuck with some Ramen noodles for Christmas....

Christmas Movie Tournament! FINAL ROUND!!! Pick the Winners!

I like them both but I have to give it to..... A Christmas Story -
Well, I had a similar problem at Target, someone took my MIL (who has Alzheimers) shopping and no one knows where the receipts are. My son got 2 of the same video game (he had been playing the 1st copy for a week when he got the second) and because it was over $35 dollars my Target wouldn't exchange, give store credit or anything. They even acknowledged that it was theirs.... We ended up at Walmart and they gave us store credit.

My Walgreens had them this am...

I like this idea and granny would probably have approved (she was raised on a farm, real no-nonsense kind of person and hard as heck to buy for). At 16 though chocolates fit my budget better. The one thing I ever gave her that she loved and displayed was a piggy bank in her china pattern (her china was her pride and joy). That pig sat year round on her sideboard. I think my older brother has it now (he got her china).

A Christmas Story The Santa Clause

That's a tough one, my grandmothers would put everything nice they got away for "someday". We cleaned out a ton of stuff that still had partial tags on them. ONe grandmother loved the thin mint chocolates and chocolate covered cherries so I always gave her a box of each-- they would last her until Easter!

Christmas Vacation A Christmas Story The Santa Clause Jingle All the Way

I'm putting in the Chick-fil-A pez dispensers-- when the boys were younger we did kids night at Chick-fil-A to the point that we knew everyone there.....
-
My youngest used to say Fruck instead of truck (and yellow was lello) and he would get so excited every time he saw a truck and if our windows were open in traffic, he would yell fruck fruck and I would want to die......

Ditto that if needed, not a lot of cash til payday but I can manage so someone won't be without! I really loved getting mine!

Round 1 Christmas Vacation--makes my house look good! HOme Alone--Makes me feel like a good mom! A Christmas Story-- the soap scene The Grinch--needs no explanation The Santa Clause=Tim Allen at his best Scrooged-- OMG still have to be careful not to eat or drink during some scenes Deck the Halls-- I know those neighbors Jingle all the Way--ARNOLD You need to add Unaccompanied Minors, it's another good one, fairly new so it might not be as well known. And personally I watch Gremlins as a Christmas movie.
