Right now my list is not long, many of the relatives have agreed to just exchange cards. Mom number 1 brother number 2 brother and his wife number 3 brother mil niece 16 dh ds 15 (by Christmas) ds 11 my other sil and bil don't usually exchange gifts except for the boys nephew 24 (stationed abroad) --may send something if we find out where he will be at that time (he's in Germany now but headed for either Iraq again or Afghanistan) Usually try to do something for 2 of our neighbors that help with dh and our yard since he can't do a lot of the work anymore and I'm at work...

Some years I do Tday shopping, it depends on what is being offered. I try to be pretty firm on what I'm going for, especially in recent years as the boys "wants" are getting more expensive!

I got a spare nintendo wheel when I bought Mario Karts. We had a generic wheel. That wheel is gathering dust as the nintendo wheels have a better "feel". As long as they don't fight, I'm happy. And Gamestop pricematched Walmart for me since I spend so much money with them....

I'm sorry that ya'll are having a bad time with site to store. My story is great. I ordered an adult tricycle and it did delay shipping but once it got to the store, we had a great experience. My husband went over in his wheelchair so that they would get it assembled and we had been debating how to get it home. The young man that assembled it offered to put it in his truck and deliver it. They left the wheelchair in the secure area of the store, ran the bike home (we only live 2 miles from the walmart) and then went back to the store and Jeff got back in the wheelchair (he can't stand or walk for long) and came home.... I got home from work and took the bike out, but that adventure is for another day...LOL!

I feel your pain. THey shipped my stuff dec. 6 usps and supposedly delivered on 12/8/07. From CALIFORNIA to FLORIDA! I just got the refund. I had no tracking number and they wouldn't talk to me until the delivery date of 12/19 had passed. No more CC for me!

Yes I would call and email (since my Circuit City emails still haven't been answered). I'm planning a letter to the president of CC since I still don't feel that I've really gotten any customer service yet.

Talked to Circuit City (after a 30 min hold time) again today. Rep was very nice and after she "researched" will issue a refund request which will take 7-14 business days to process-- Lovely. Will be hunting to try to replace part of the order but no way I have the cash to do it all...Goodbye Circuit City!

Finally got through to Circuit City about my order. THey show it delivered on 12/8 (shipped from California on 12/6 at 6:17pm and delivered to Florida on 12/8? )--not a chance-- the csr said I have to report it missing at the post office--and I pointed out that I didn't even have a tracking number to give them--so I finally have that and after she did some research she said I can call them tomorrow and they can process a refund (this is after I showed my rear end-- learned it from my customers). Wait til tomorrow, if I get any grief I will be speaking with a supervisor. I've already told her that my business is history and I mean it. I usually order at least once a month to get movies for dh. I guess BB just got a new best friend! ON the flip side, something else I ordered on Wed from someone else came today DHL and I didn't pay for any kind of expedited shipping...

I'm still waiting for circuitcity package shipped us mail on the 6th and estimated delivery on the 19th. I emailed last night but no response. THey are on the cusp of losing me as a customer--up until a few months ago they were really good then wham-- crap every time!

I feel your pain. It's taking me 16 years to train my mil. WHen the boys were babies, she would buy the most impractical clothing-- little dress suits that they would outgrow in a week (sometimes before we had an event that was dressy enough- my church wasn't very dressed up at the time) instead of the less expensive but needed daily wear stuff. Now that they are older, she and my husband go shopping for them so he can guide her!

Both of my ds need wallets and I'm thinging of giving them wallets and then putting a small gift card for their tunes inside. Plus I think they are getting gift cards from a bil so it will give them somewhere to put that until it's spent! (about 24 hours later LOL)

Unfortunately, many people in retail are not well trained or educated in the ways of customer service, it is truly becoming a lost art. However, the foul language used is unacceptable as that person might have had other customers within earshot also and some of them might not be adults...(my kids would have picked up on that word immediately when they were younger). I hope you hear from Corporate!

Mine got about 4 each-- 1 bigger (Zunes) and then some smaller things so the tree wouldn't look too bare. Money's not in big supply this year-- maybe next year will be better....Of course, they have more than they need anyway (LOL)-- does a kid ever think they have enough?

Maybe she's not into the scrapbooking as much anymore-- or has so much junk that she never gets around to using (I'm in that boat). Jewelry I can usually take or leave-- I have plenty of it, I did ask for one specific thing this year. The pampering though, it looks like she needs that this year (the goodies from Mary Kay, etc). As you say. Now you know she'll be happy with what she gets!!! And she'll like the color, etc...
