  1. 31 friends/family, angel tree gifts, mail person, trash people and the ocassional treats for coworkers. This year I may leave out mail person and coworkers as mail person is retarded about mail delivery and ridiculously afraid of my shih tzu. Coworkers have never deserved treats and this year the infighting has just gone beyond acceptable.
  2. something on the blackfriday site is being blocked by work Guess I may need to rely on ppl if ads go up and come down quick since probably won't have access from here. Got it to load once out of maybe 10 tries. so long as the adscan page hasn't changed I'm good for now, that still loads just not the main one.
  3. So you check the store(s) out a few days before BF to see who has what?
  4. It's being described as having many limitations under BF forums (based on poor specs) with everyone expecting much better deals on BF. If you need one now its not a bad price but very limited in what it will let you do.
  5. I'm afraid you two have just repeated what I myself was thinking. One of the other threads makes it seem very feasible like lots of ppl were taking advantage of it so thought I'd ask anyhow.
  6. I've never attempted this since I've read on here it can be iffy with stores with some Walmarts (I think) even clearing the floor of items on other competitors ads to avoid having to do it. I generally try to order as much as possible online Turkey Day/night and then do the mad dash for whatever else is needed but am open to change. Do you scope out Walmart/Target prior to BF to figure out if they will have same product? I remember reading BF specials have different SKU's/UPC's or packaging and may not be honored at competitor store. What is everyone's experience with this and will you continue to PM on BF after your experiences?
  7. CVS sale this week on Sylvania 7in netbook running windows CE. LINK to specs. No need to wait til BF for 99.99 netbook, but I'm holding out for laptop.
  8. LINK to specs. runs windows CE. No need to wait til BF for 99.99 netbook, but I'm holding out for laptop
  9. squinkies i belive are just tiny figures. target had a display case but none for sale, but they did have zoobles and monster high single and double packs. If I were a doll person would need to have the monster high doll with the bat:) was tempted to get a zooble for bff daughter but didn't want to pay full price and have tons of stuff for her already. Walgreens had a whole paper jams display.
  10. Did you get this via e-mail? I wonder why I didn't, thanks for posting.
  11. the code was to be written on bottom portion of store receipt for a 15% discount doe something like 30 days after purchase I think. Only select receipts offer survey and allow for code to be written in
  12. all clearance at 3 store I went to was mostly 30% few at 50% didn't buy anything. Margaritaville maker was 134.xx
  13. Can I get a shirt for assuming BB ad will be out 11/13/2010? Do you hold out on us Brad or is pure coincidence the BB ad has been out on the same day the last two years? I need to speak to store managers and see what rules/restrictions they'll put in place this year in case I see anything I want in ad.
  14. Thanks, that's a useful link to keep just in case.
  15. I wish stores around here were as organized as everyone seems to mention there's are Kmart just huddled everyone in a foyer no order whatsoever, BB continually shifts line one from side of store to the other and people take advantage and switch order. BB didn't even hand out tickets from front/back of line a few years back associates just started randomly whispering who wants a ticket for this, that, or the other. I'm really worried about what the economy will cause on BF this year. If anyone remembers the times sales were available online can you post? For Thanksgiving stuff and BF stuff as well as time zone. I just remember spending most of the night up.
  16. maybe you can get dcpi from tag and type into scanner? My target has had barely any clearance and at prices not worth bothering with so haven't stopped by in a while.
  17. I'm thinking tv's and bluray players will be popular items. I'm hoping to get a new home theatre system but need to see if maybe I can get away with just a receiver with more hdmi inputs/outputs and get existing speakers to work with it. I think when I bought it reviews mentioned complicated splicing and such:( I'm sure it can't be that difficult I just don't like the idea of ruining current ones and then being out a set of good speakers.
  18. I think my parents usually went clothes/music/gift cards around that age for my brothers and I usually got some jewelry thrown in with candy for good measure. These days its all about itunes so maybe some giftcards for that. My brothers have always wanted some video game every year and movies too.
  19. I think it looks good otherwise. I'm probably getting cheapest laptop available meeting some minimum spec requirement probably memory and a decent processor but I haven't come up with that yet. Hoping to avoid BB at all costs, its ridiculous around these parts and people are barely decent on a good day nevermind BF. I'm hoping for something online TurkeyDay to be honest. I looked over this at work earlier and maybe I had clicked on price before which is why I got arrows which lead me to sort options. Maybe just default the arrows or have a drop down list to sort by to avoid manual? I think this is a huge undertaking to do all electronics but I think it's a fabulous idea and will be well appreciated.
  20. I got lucky on sunday and found rainchecks still in recylce bin with coupons, took to 3 different stores and was able to get the pens. They're remodelling our store and getting rid of 30,000 items according to a friend who is a pharmacist as walgreens so have been getting some real steals since the weekend. Yesterday I bought big boxes of cheerios for 0.99, individual ramen type soups in styrofoam container for 0.15, other noodle bowls soups for .25, campbells soup microwavable pot for 0.82 and a pack of 6 toothbrushes and 2.2 oz aim toothpaste for 1.25. The people behind me were kinda pissy but went to cosmetics counter, total came to under $23 for 4 huge bags.
  21. I'm still trying to figure out if I'll have a job after October but if I don't I can assist researching/inputting specs. It looks like you only have sort by price, maybe add that functionality to other columns such as memory/hard drive size. Also, maybe add links or just a column advising if it's expected to be available online. Goodluck with the design, I can google/patch up a lot of stuff but it's impossible for me to make anything look pleasing.
  22. agreed minus folder. ads stay in car along with my list of order of stores and items needed. I bring some water bottles in a foldable cooler but leave in car. just take my credity cards and id with me.
  23. nope. maybe for the platinum card holders as someone mentioned or over a certain amount but since I'd bought all the other blurays at amazon just waited it out and sure enough amazon beat BB price and I got free shipping through Prime :)
  24. Around 15 years. Started about 18 years ago but spent a few years in England where BF doesn't exist. Early years was all about gifts for smaller children in extended family more recently it's been for immediate family and myself. Oh to go back to the not so busy KBToys days at 5am or whenever they started sales, anywhere seems like a jungle these days. My parents stood in line around the back of Walmart last year AFTER getting doorbusters elsewhere and I still remember line around BestBuy about 10am when I remembered there was some sports game they had cheaper than anyone else.
