Brilliant Idea. There are just as many procrastinator that wait till the last minute.
I agree. There are a ton of people who do wait till the last minute, so if this is true it will be great for them. Then there are people like me who just can't seem to pass up a deal whether I'm done shopping or not. If they do it, I'll go just to see if I can find anything I can't live without

I don't know here... usually when I do last minute shopping or shop late in the season it isn't for big ticket items. I've already done the research and made sure I've purchased them well in advance to ensure I can get my hands on what I wanted. Usually my late shopping is for the smaller more generic gifts. This year I finished up my shopping bf and have all the gift wrapped and under the tree already..my budget is tapped as well so there's nothing left for me to give to WM. Maybe they should have just got it right the first time around.

Exactly...which is why I'm afraid this round will be blenders and towels, instead of more electronics. By that point I'll just be buying filler gifts and stocking stuffers.

From what i have heard in the media lately... BF isn't what gets them in the black anymore, the busiest, most profitable day of shopping is the Saturday before Christmas... so they are targeting that day for great sales.
I used to manage a toystore in a mall back in my college says... BF was NEVER the busiest day of the year there. I went through the 10 previous years sales figures to see for myself. The days leading up to Christmas were the busiest requiring 4+ bank drops a day. One required 10. It should have been more but that was all the bags I had.
