Curious to know how many of you wait till BF to shop or if you see a store with a good sale just buy now.

I personally have been trying to buy now if it's a price point I like or close to a discount that the same store had in prior years. We leave for vacation on BF so while I can shop online that week I am pulling the trigger now on things.

It all depends for me.....I was able to get my daughters lego set she wanted $20 cheaper then it is in most stores and since Legos never have a coupon and only a few sets usually go on sale I bought it.

I guess I would buy and watch this site for the ad's....if I see in the ad my purchased item is going to be on sale, I would return it within the 30 day (most stores have 30 day) return window and if it's not in the ad, then yay you!

I'm trying hard to wait...BUT... I did get a great deal on hoverboards. $99 instead of $300. Xbox wireless controller for $20 instead of $65 and studio beats at $105 instead of $380. So those I couldn't pass up seeing I'd NEVER find them at that price again.

Ohhhh and fossil watches one was $28 instead of $95 the other was $36 instead of $145

My daughter wants a hoverboard.  She has been saving her allowance money and money her paw paw gives her.  She had a birthday last week and got money too.  So, she is trying to patiently wait until BF to get one.  But, of course, I told her that we will be on the lookout for one before then too.

Where is everyone going for toys this year with TRU closed??? I have no idea where to even look for the stuff the grandkids are going to want and I don't like shopping at Amazon!

Depends on the item. I bought some Fingerlings this weekend because I was really excited to see them in stock. I have my eye on some things at Old Navy and if they go down to 50% off before BF, I'm pulling the trigger. Otherwise, I'll wait to see the ads before buying anything I don't need to. I especially need a new smartphone, but I'm waiting for the Verizon ad before I make any moves.

great finds !!!!!

I do both. If the deal is good take it. BF is not always a guarantee and if I buy now they may free up something on BF tat I otherwise may of had to pass on.

I tend to buy all year, especially clearance items if I am sure it will make someone happy. But the majority of Christmas is bought from  about now until Christmas.

We got our first Christmas present for our grandkids after Christmas last year! Been sitting in storage ever since.

I start shopping the day after Christmas! ;) I find good deals all year long and put them away for Christmas. I usually keep a running file on what all I have purchased for each person, but dropped the ball this year - so now I have to go through all the boxes and bins and figure it all out. Ugggg!

I have already bought a few things, either things I've been watching and the price dropped, or things with KC or Target GC and a sale. Next is a handmade item, and it's from Poland, so I'll need to get that ordered soon and out of the way.

Right now though I'm debating on the tiny Instant pot. I think I figured it will be about $42 right now (I have KC to spend) and I don't think I recall one being under $40 last year. So I may grab it now.

Check walmart or brickseek.com with this number..... 88825516486

I have seen them for 149 for a jetson hoverboard regular price at target

I find it hard to shop early because I don't know what the kids will want.    I could get a couple little things along the way, stocking stuffer stuff, but as far as big presents, I have to wait until they make a list!   And we draw names for my other family members, so I have to wait until we do that at Thanksgiving.   Its hard to see good deals, and have to pass them up!

I know what you mean. I got my Mickey loving grandson some Mickey Duplos during the Lego summer sale. When he hit 3 1/2, he switched to loving dinosaurs! Oh well, he'll still like building them.

I'm still having to wait on my kids big things too. The things I have or will get early are controllers (the one he wants was discontinued), makeup (Ulta coupon good on Prestige brands!), Kohl's blanket, and a room decoration. And I hit the Target Lego sale for dino and super hero Duplos. I had my mama's picked out, but then she bought it. :(

I too have already started shopping. When the deal is just too good to pass up I just have to take action. I sure wish I could have been in on those Hoverboards for $99. I need three of those! That was a fantastic find!

I try to pick things up all year if the price is good. It seems like more stores are having deep discounts earlier this year. Last year there were a lot of good deals starting at the beginning of November. Some of them were as good as or  better than Black Friday. I'll still find stuff I want on Black Friday though!

That's a steal for the little Instant Pot.  I paid more for mine even with KC and coupon code.

Thanks! I may go ahead and grab that tomorrow then. I had no reference as to what to expect for price.

My dad currently rents out a room. He has access to a kitchen, but he won't use it. I thought this might be good to use in his room for beans and rice and such.

Think I pad around $55-60 for mine in January.

I've never made rice or beans in mine but many people in the Instant Pot beginners Facebook group I frequent do.

It depends ... if it's a hot item and I can find a good sale now I will get it now instead of running the risk of not getting it. I clearance shop all year so sometimes I will find a great deal and I have the extra money then I get it then. Usually for things like movies, games .. things that are on sale every BF at rock bottom prices I tend to wait until BF.

I got a layaway at Walmart already and buy when I see a good sale. Having the grandkids living with us means buying more for them than i would normally. They will need stockings n such.

Ours live with us too.....I LOVE it! I feel blessed to be able to spend so much time with her.

I tell myself I'm gonna start early every year.  Then I blink and it's October and I start panicking.  I have gotten a couple small things so far, but that is all.

Thanks to GottaDEAL instant deal alert this morning I was able to snag a Columbia jacket for my daughter for only 22.

The instant deal alert has saved me so many times. There is always something that is just within my budget right now
