And of course two of the things I got on Friday are on sale today.

I know they don't usually have an ad, but I'm still waiting for Verizon. I was really hoping for a deal on the Pixel 6, but so far nothing too exciting. I was able to get the Pixel 3 a few years ago for 50% off on BF, but I guess that's not going to be a thing this year.

I had more luck at other stores' competing with Prime Day than actual Prime Day. New smart sensor for our sprinkler system at Lowes, air purifier at Walmart... No luck on a new coffee grinder. Might wait for a 30% off at Kohl's.

This is straight garbage. I almost don't want to buy anything this month on principle, but they sent me a 30% off as a mystery offer today and I need to replace my Sonicare toothbrush, so they've got me in February.

Epilogue... My husband called Monday night, waited on hold for almost an hour (protip: don't use the Google Assistant to wait for you because when he was told to join the call, Best Buy had hung up, so he had to call back and wait even longer). Anyway, he framed it as "What's your restocking fee on this washer/dryer set that was delivered today because I want to cancel the order if you can't price match?" The rep said, "No, that's not how this should work." She said we didn't even purchase a bundle (which is true since we upgraded the dryer) so that shouldn't even matter. We offered to give the gift card back if that meant we could have the savings and she said no, the gift card is still applicable to our order because it was over $1000. It took a bit of time and supervisor authorization because of the amount, but by the end of the call, we had emails for the credits and they just hit my credit card today. What a mess, but definitely worth it for $340 in credit!

Thought about it. The price difference with the sale is about $300, so it would be worth the restocking fee. We would have cancelled the order on Friday if they hadn't told us they could price match. The down side was that we would end up in the end of the cue for installation. It's hard to get things in stock these days.

This is the first year I've gotten burned by these sales. The washer/dryer I wanted wasn't in the ad, so we bought it last week with the $100 gift card for purchasing two appliances. Then all of a sudden, they go on sale. So we call to price match, but they don't price match on items you haven't received yet and they don't price match during Thanksgiving week. My husband spoke to someone who got his "special team" on it and they said they could do it, so we didn't cancel the order. The set is delivered today. Now we get an email that they can't price match on a bundle (remember that $100 gift card). If they just put everything in the ad, we wouldn't have ordered it early! Argh!

The B1G2 on frames is pretty good, but this ad is definitely much smaller than usual. I got a lot of organization solutions there last year, but they don't have any of that.

My son is still full time remote, so I might just do a gift card that I can put in the mail. Gift cards are my least favorite presents to give, but I think that's the only way to do it this year. Funny story, my son has two teachers. I worked with one of them at Dunkin Donuts when I was in high school and my husband worked with the other at Pottery Barn right after college. I might send them gift cards from there and sign the card, "Your former coworkers..."

Can anyone who is a member tell me what the price is on the LG top load washer? If it's good, I might join just for that.

That stinks. I was really pulling for free shipping!

It's cold and rainy here, but at least it's not snow! Working to get my house ready to sell. Not sure where we're going to move to yet. We'll stay in the same town, but there isn't much on the market yet. But when there is, I want to move quickly, so I'm starting to pack. I need to get some cute decorations for the walls and tables. I'm dreading this whole thing, but it has to be done. We're bursting at the seams!

Happy New Year! We ended 2019 with the stomach bug and 2020 isn't shaping up much better. Had some food poisoning last weekend. Ugh. Anyway, on to 2020!

I bought two things from them on Cyber Monday. A plate from Fred & Friends that was more expensive on their own website because shipping wasn't free and my son's car seat to replace the one that got in an accident. Grand total: $101.63

My bad. I thought it was usually Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. I want to get them for teacher gifts.

Are they doing the gift card sale? I know they had a 5% off one, but I was hoping for 10% today like they've done in years past.

Happy December! It's supposed to snow like crazy today and I'm not sad about having an extra day at home tomorrow! Even though I need the kids to get back to school!

Shopped for 14 hours (830pm-1030am). Tried a different shopping area this year and found no crowds! The longest we waited in line was 15 minutes at Old Navy. Got lots of stuff, nothing really worth mentioning. Had a great year!

I saw that too. Fanatics runs shop.nhl.com so the sales and prices seem to be the same. I did get something in the mail from Dick's where they are having 25% off this weekend, so I think that might work. The crummy thing about NHL is they only have the player I want on expensive jerseys, not the cheap ones. I don't need to spend $60 on hockey jerseys for my 6 year and 4 year olds!

I'm looking to get 2 NHL jerseys for my kids. Dick's is having 20% off right now, but should I wait for BF or Cyber Monday? There are no jersey's in the ads, but I don't know what NHL.com usually does (if anything)? Advice?

At our mall, Bath & Body Works was one of the only stores open overnight, so we were there with no crowds. It was lovely!

Is Target not doing the thing where they give you a coupon if you shop on Friday? They did that last year, but I don't see it in the ad this year. (Which doesn't mean anything. I've missed a lot of things in these ads!)
