hoits2000
For me, every year, I buy a couple of the 2.99 pillows from Kohls or Sears, new gloves because I've lost mine over the Spring/Summer, and the newest Madden game from Walmart for $28 bucks haha. What about you guys? Edited November 1, 2017 by hoits2000
wittenlover
The $2.99 pillows, at least one of those "The Big One" blankets, and wire cooling racks (yes really). I do a ton of baking 4-5 times a year (think well over 100 dozen cookies) and I'm still trying to figure out just how many more cooling racks I need to maintain my rhythm. Bought a set each year for the past couple, buying another set this year for sure. Also, cat litter. Lots of cat litter. I try to get a full year's worth. At least 2, usually more every year.Batteries and poinsettias from Home Depot.Cat litter and milk bones and stockings from PetSmart, but that might not happen this year.Toilet paper from Walgreens (not sure they had it last year though)Flash drives from Best Buy. Bopeep
The newest Madden game and the newest Call of Duty game. Oh, and usually 12 month XBox live, but I never did find that cheap last year. One small I buy every year is the memory foam mats at Walmart for like 2 or 3 bucks.

stewarta4
I buy several of the $1 set of 100 lights from Dollar General every year...the $2 evergreen garland that Michael's always has...and I usually buy several new towels from Kohl's every year as something always tends to happen to several of mine throughout the year. I avoid the cheapo appliances and $2 movies like the plague...never understood the appeal. I guess they have a particular purpose and crowd...I don't want all the movies (that I can easily buy/rent online) cluttering up my house and I prefer to invest in more expensive, quality appliances rather than the cheapo, throwaway appliances. Forgot to mention that I most usually always end up with 1 or 2 sets of 1,000+ thread count sheets from whoever has the best price on them...last year it was Walmart and the year before that was Meijer. mello
I always wait to get all our dvd's on BF every year, instead of buying them as they come out throughout the year. It drives my kids crazy, but it's worth the good prices. Latest seasons of lots of shows can be gotten for like $10-$15, and recent movie releases the same, plus some oldies as low as $2. We just made our list last night of what shows/seasons/movies to look for. We like to own our favorites so we can re-watch them whenever we want without relying on whether Netflix will get rid of them (as happened with Dr. Who, for instance). We have a closet with floor to ceiling shelves for them so no clutter! We usually find some video games as well, and memory cards, flash drives, etc. have been a staple lately too. jaymacfla
Blu rays, and TV series. Almost every year since 2006 it has been televisions. Laptops were a staple and I still buy them every year, but not for my own use.
nini
Those Big One pillows & throws always find a way in my cart each year as well. I've also picked up gingerbread house kits for the last few years from Michaels or Joanns on Black Friday. HanShotFirst
The Big One throws from Kohl’s for sure! Those are the best things. I have way too many to be considered practical for one person but I buy them as gifts as well. They really messed up when they started having prints. I find at least two prints every year that think I need to have. SMH I also load up on the $14.99 bras at Kohl’s and the last two years I’ve replaced all my bakeware from the Kohl’s ad. From Best Buy I always get the latest season of Big Bang Theory on DVD for $10. I’m going to try very hard to resist those dastardly cheap DVDs at Walmart this year.

MariahA
Every year I rebuy/get more; Rubbermaid at WM because we've usually lost or broken most of the last set. Won't have to this year, still have most of last year's in the box! Coffee pot, always need at least one new one sometime during the year. Towels at Walmart, cheap but perfect size for drying hair and using with the baby. Cheap movies, going to try not to this year but say that every year. Some form of pajamas, either a new set or just new sleep pants. $4 Dickies work socks!! Restock my DH every year, get 3packs and he's usually set! The new season of BBT every year. Think that's all.... Wait! And I try to replace pillows each year. Now a question, are these Big One throws really nice or what's the deal with them? I've never went to Kohl's on BF so never have seen them.
Doresia
I get the memory foam rugs from walmart and the Axe gift set from Dollar General. I used to get socks at Gordman's every year, but they aren't here this year so......
wittenlover
I totally forgot the batteries at HD - Absolutely pick those up every year. My camera eats them like candy sometimes. Ha! And MariahA - I didn't understand till I grabbed one of those throws myself. They're big, very soft, and toasty warm. I use them on my twin bed and they fit just about perfectly. I keep a couple on my couch - one for me, one for the felines. I was amazed at how nice they are. So now I've bought some for me, some as gifts, and I fully expect at least one or two will make it into my online cart again this year. Worth the money.
HanShotFirst
Now a question, are these Big One throws really nice or what's the deal with them? I've never went to Kohl's on BF so never have seen them. Those throws are the bombdiggity of throws in my opinion. The are big, they are soft, they are warm (but not too heavy) and they wash up well. I've never had a huge problem with pilling and fuzzies after washing either. Some reviewers on Kohls.com say they do but I've not experienced it to the degree they are complaining about and I have several in my house that have been laundered routinely. I'm 5'10" and can cover up from my chin to my toes with room to spare if I want to actually tuck my feet in without curling up in the fetal position. LOL, I buy at least one new one every year for myself and others for my Senior Tree gifts.
Kanyon71
Sheets and movies, we end up getting these things EVERY year. We like the cuddle duds ones from Kohls they are super soft. Should get a cart for a commercial kitchen, you can slide the racks right onto it for cooling and they take up less counter space (that's what we always end up with too little of)
