fingerlakesmom Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 So am the only one who thinks so? I noticed a lot of their prices were same as TRU. Not to mention not a lot of variety. PLus the had NO TMNT stuff and that is all on ds wants. Maybe I am being to picky wnating to much of a baragain
peachysquirt21 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I didnt see nothin great in it either.
KBsDarling Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 maybe they will wow us with the BF sales.... hey It could happen LOL
Spotted1 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I didn't get all the way through it (I'm on dial up and it stuttered going through the online catelogue) but I wasn't really impressed with anything I did see. Nothing worth us traveling 2 hours one way to go get, imo. I did like the Color Your Own playhouses, and thought that $9.99 was a fair price (Spongebob was the one shown, I would get the MLP one, though).. but it wasn't fair enough considering gas prices these days. lol.
moopeikennel Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I was reading another thread that was from die hard Target shoppers and I was thinking "wow the toy book is gonna be good" then I got it and was like "this stinks !!" I'm so glad when I went to TRU the other day that I picked up extra $10 GC coupons. I also have the $5 off $25 so I guess I need to sit down and do some figurin'
erh12275 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I agree. I just didn't think their prices are all that super.
whafs8 Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Yes I am still waiting for Great toy deals. I hope CVS has their bogo this year.
jszulis Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 It certainly wasn't worth the wait. Let's hope the BF sales are better. Wish we could get the ad....
all4linkae Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I agree, I hope the BF sales are better!! I wasn't too impressed, with what they have, I'll skip that all together too and just do TRU!!
ShawnainKY02 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Haven't gotten it yet, and had been looking forward to it. Guess I will just hope for better BF items.
holly2hottie Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I wasn't impressed either, I hope the BF ads will be better!
krissy72 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 No big deal. As a matter of fact, Walmart has most of the toys cheaper right now.
ebony0421 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Maybe they will surprise you and have a better sale next week and then a "great" sale for bf.
dorkydiva Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I haven't received mine yet. I'm sure the kids will still have fun looking through it, though.
RobD Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Cranium Family Fun is in the book at the same price that WM has listed for BF plus there is a coupon for a card game (Cranium Ziggity) for free with any cranium game purchase. DD has family fun on her christmas list and I've had that Ziggity game in my cart about 3 times now so that works for me.
alimfp Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Even with use of coupons, the items are still the same price as Walmart.
Guest all2tired Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I noticed most of the prices matched TRU. For the same price, I'd rather go to TRU and get the $10 GC. Wasn't really impressed with either stores toy book though
Aaron Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 When did this come? I don't remember seeing it.
fingerlakesmom Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 YEs Wal-Mart has a lot of them cheaper and they have lay-a- way
civicracinggirl7 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Agreed. Some of the toys were what we have been looking at for my youngest niece (ie, Tumble Time Tigger, A-Z Learning Zoo, etc.). However, even after the coupons included, the prices work out to be what WM has them at everyday.
aolson Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I might go to Target for one reason - last year they had raincheck stubs already out sitting on the shelves. Made it so easy to get the items they were out of for the special price. Andrea
elena_398 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Guess they don't want to be competitive. Nothing was great. Pricing was on the high side.
fairydustcrissy Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 When did this come? I don't remember seeing it.It was in this weeks paper
tinycaramel Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I wasn't thrilled with the book either. I am pricing the leapster l-max and although they have it for 79.99. TRU has it for 89.99 plus you get a $10 gift card and I have a $5 coupon. So, I will get it for 74.99 at TRU.
mrsbmb Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I signed up for the book but have yet to get it. Doesnt sound to good anyway. kathy
