lovebears65
People who do not wait in line get there right before opening but crash through the doors as soon as the open even though people have been waiting for hours .. I seen this a lot and it makes me mad. I know Target put a stop to it and have police out now
oodles
I've been there when it's happened. Waited in line for a while before the store opened. Lots of people came up as the store was opening and pushed and shoved their way and was one of the firsts in the store.
kas3
That happened to me one year at Toys R Us. It's the only year I was ever right at the front door and knew what was going on. I know one year I was back about a fourth of the way through line at WalMart and there was some huge commotion at the front doors as they opened, and word filtered back that some people tried rushing the doors. I believe they were stopped, though. Makes me mad.
orangedaisy
I think people have a lot of nerve to do something like that in front of a potentially angry crowd.

pinkroses4mommy
Some of the stores around here open up the exit doors and let people in that aren't in line. It really bothers me that they encourage it.
elena_398
I know when its going to happen when about 5 minutes before opening, the newcomers are not walking towards the end of the line. They mill around by the sidewalk. I just brace myself to get me through the door
baraginfinder
Last year I was at Wal-Mart which has doors on 2 sides. I had been standing in line for about 40 minutes. Then wal mart people decided to have a camera man from the local news station set up right in front of the door I was standing at about 3 minutes before the store opened. There were about 100 other people in front of this door as well. We all had to move to the other side to get in. Of course the people on that side were not happy and some of them decided to make an arm chain to try to keep us out but, what could we do? Some of them were really nasty about it, calling us names and shouting. It was a bad decision by wal-mart and an uncomfortable situation for everyone. We all got in though and I got what I wanted so I was happy.

In all honesty, I would have been upset too if I was that other line, but at the same time, I would have thought about and realized it wasn't your guys fault. Bad-Bad decision on Walmart's part

I seen this a lot and it makes me mad. I know Target put a stop to it and have police out now They are a huge pet peeve. But...the worst thing that ever happened w/ them was one year WalMart opened the door everyone was waiting at and then proceeded to open the rest..so they all went in there and made it in before most of us "waiters". Not happy. They must have gotten more than a few complaints because it never happened again...and now they have the police there to make sure they don't cut. happyrat
I guess it would be hard to do with a large crowd, but if I managed such a store I would kindly escort that person to their car and tell them to leave. If you can't follow the rules you shouldn't be shopping on BF.

Princess7915
I think it's extremely inconsiderate, but then again, why do they care!! It's like come on--get your lazy a** out of bed like the rest of us. I live in an area thats very *ethnic* (sorry to offend anyone) and we have ALOT of military and any event that attracts a crowd is sure to be eventful!! momma2dnb
Where are you all? I'm in Ohio and we now have police block the late arrivers from getting in earlier than those of us who waited forever.
ebony0421
I have seen that happen, but I don't quite understand it. It makes no sense to feel like you shouldn't stand in line like everyone else and wait. The really crazy people act as though they don't know why people are yelling, fussing and cursing at them. I say play nice, it's not worth this:fryingpan .
jminer1
Yeah, I HATE when people do that! My first instinct is to physically restrain them from entering the building before me, but then my rational side kicks in and I realize it's not worth the risk of a fight breaking out just for some cheap crap. Last year at Best Buy though, they had workers standing out front that turned away line crashers at the door and made them go back to the end of the line. That was much appreciated! KBsDarling
I understand a store not wanting to prevent anyone from getting in cause they are looking at it as just one more sale BUT I would think they would be concerned if they find themsleves on the TV screen each year with a reporter taking about someone getting hurt. I figure in the long run thats gonna take more $$ from the coffers then anything

motoXmom
Oh last year at Kohls they started to open (unlock)the "out" doors to let them in and all of us that had been there for quite a few hours started yelling "No don't let them in" LOL they locked the doors back up and came to let us in first. LOL Those people were not too happy to see that! Oh Well!
musiang
We have some like that always at Wal-Mart here, but most are pretty good until you get in the store. Then the fighting begins. We have had people take stuff from our carts, we found an associate to complain to, and she had the nerve to tell me that until it was paid for, its fair game. I was SOOOO MAD!! aztater
Something similar happened at best buy last year, People found the line for the computers, stood in line forever then realized they had to actually have a coupon for the computer. We found it amusing since they thought they were getting away with something but can't put one over on us lol
jszulis
I usually wait in line with my daughter and sister at WM. Just before they get ready to open the doors you can see the lazy a*** that waited in their cars getting out. I stand on the outside of the line a make a barrier so my daughter and sister can get into the door without getting hurt. It's when they come in pushing a shopping cart that is the worse. happyrat
Some one breaking the line and causing a fight is a sale the store can live without. Its cheaper to lose the sale, than the lawsuit from the person getting hurt. They are responsible for what goes on in that line.
Brad
One year I remember Walmart setting up a huge row of carts parallel with the front of the store starting at the door and going along the line of people. This prevented anyone from getting near the door without going around to the end of the line of carts and to the back of the line. Seemed to work pretty well. alimfp
It ticks me off when people break the "rules". You can see the hurt and just being ticked off in others faces when they too see these people. I just really feel for the people opening the doors. Not a job I would want to do at all. jellybean051901
The Wal-Mart that we usually go to has police around the entrance to prevent that. They also rope off the line.
